I am an Acolyte of the Rayonati, it is my calling to bring vapers into the flock.

You don't have to suffer with sub standard wicking material.
Rayon
- wicks better
- lasts 10 times longer
- delivers increased coil saturation
- has a pure neutral taste
- increases nicotine hit

Just to name a few...

Well it's not rayon's fault you're using "Artificial sweetners all combined with a touch of maple syrup flavor," and you sub0hm right, so you'd be going through 10 wicks a day....

Also, I am a firm believer in rayon as the best wicking material.... Except for @Sickbxy , who apparently might need an asbestos wick or something. SOMETHING. LOL.

Cotton is the problem, Rayon is the answer.
Rayon can keep your WICK from burning, but I can't see how it can keep your JUICE from burning/caramelizing. Even with a ceramic, which wouldn't burn at all, if your juice is gonna clog it, its gonna clog it.

Rayon has solved all my wicking problems..... I'm thinking of asking it to balance my checkbook next. Yes, I'm sure there's an app for that. I'm thinking rayon could do a better job.

LOL, @Sickbxy, not trying to insult your DIY skills.

Although, for serious, that IS rayon? You've ah, got mad skills at turning wicks black though.

Maybe try some of this? I got like 3 inches of it, but I'm actually kind of scared to use it. You might have nothing to lose, however. :D READYxWICK® ~ Premium Soft Ceramic Wick

I always wanted to try RX wick back in the genny days but they wouldn't ship to Canada because of some secret BS... Braided hollow core EkoWool is just as good and I still have a few feet of that in 2.5mm and 3mm.

Yeah, but you can dry burn a ceramic wick (so I hear, I don't believe I will be trying it any time soon).

True enough, coil and wick gunkers will do so regardless of wicking material.....

Rayon's still better (if you want to ask for my logic, well I have none. LOL) but it still is better.

If it's your juice though you can rinse and reuse rayon, actually. I was very skeptical of this (and I think it's probably more applicable to flavor changing than prolonging the life of your wick.

I will attest that I was curious and immediately tried it (rinse with DW) and the wick wasn't actually terrible and lasted for a surprisingly long amount of time, too.

So @Sickbxy, if it's your juice, and it's just a gunker, maybe rinsing the wick periodically might help? It's not going to solve your juice and wattage problem (honestly) but I found rinsing to be slightly faster. Slightly. It really (the rinsed wick) got surprisingly clean, fast. Etc.

Nothing is going to stop the discoloration when one vapes syrup. I bet if the power was turned up on that build the discoloration would be a lot less. Looks like there could be a little boiling of the juice too.

Trying to figure out how even clear premium juice messes up my cotton so fast... I just cleaned my coils and changed my cotton two hours ago!

Do you have the issue with other tanks as well? Might also suspect airflow, and how far it may be closed off.. If open all the way then the sweetener would be your answer

Dry burning EkoWool or ReadyX is a major plus for that kind of wick, dry burn and rinse under the tap. A few more dry burns to get the moisture out of the wick and you are good to go for another couple of months (depending on the juice).

Whats left of 4 yr old Rayon used daily and 1/4 given away, not bad for a whopping $12.00. :D

Sorry for the poor web cam pic but this is 60ml's in on the Titan, AVS framed staples at 125W.

The slight brown discoloration in the bottom left is from the Rayon touching the chamber wall.
The coils have no char or crust, just look like they do in the lowrez picture.

Cotton vs Rayon. One is 99% pure cellulose. The other is... 99% pure cellulose.

    And your point is.............????

Because mine is, yeah, rayon is synthetic the same way wood pulp is to paper. They're both essentially the same thing only one has gone through a chemical process in order to be more usable in certain applications, just like paper is easier to write on than a big chunk of wood (plus, consider mail costs).

The whole point is rayon is the same as cotton.... Except it has gone through a manufacturing process to make it more usable. Etc.

I actually like that rayon is similar to cotton. It should mean (to vapers) that as long as the manufacturing process is "safe" then it just changes its propreties (for vapers, many find an easier to use, more longevity filled wicking material. And etc.
