Steam Engine makes the calculations easy, all the regulated mods read the resistance, as a check, and the rest is just wrapping wire on a stick. I bet you would be fine with it. A spool of Kanthal is a couple dollars, and you can practice build a bunch. Put em on a cheap rda, and check resistance on a mod without even firing.
I'll stop selling!:) It isn't hard, and they work even if they aren't made perfectly!
Why do people say that? Wrapping a wire on a stick is the easy part. Then you have to get it attached! Those screws are tiny. You have to make sure the wire isn't touching anything (like the top cap or whatever) so it doesn't short out. And, you have to get ALL that rayon through the tiny coil and trim as needed.

That is not easy! It's doable, but not easy.

I agree. I mean it’s not as hard as plumbing, but I still say it’s a chore. I often wonder about the lifestyles of people who enjoy it. Personally I am fairly handy, but I don’t enjoy tinkering. I spend too much time with tools as it is. All my adult life I had a handy husband, and we always had a project in progress. Now, I’m just tired of spending half my time fixing, the other half cleaning up after, and learning how to do it all alone. I just want stuff to stay unbroken so I can relax! Lol!

On a positive note, I'm going to stroll the National Vape Expo today. Vendor booths should have a few free goodies and my Scottish blood will compel me to visit every one of them.

Who knows what I'll be coming home with.

Doors open at 1100 but I and a friend of mine are gonna go get some breakfast first. Can't leech on an empty stomach, y'know.
Tell dot I said hi...

I'll never forget the first time I folded sheets alone. It's simple enough. But, I had never done it any other way than with another person to hold the other side. It's hilarious to think about looking back.

Doing things alone is a whole different world. Some just need a little thought. Some are impossible!
If Mel and I can do it so can you, you have all the help you need right here in the shiney's.
Very true. If I can do it, anyone can.

@Possum64, you definitely can do it. It can be tedious and frustrating. But, not always. Especially if you keep it simple, have your tools all together and ready, and repeat the build on the same type of RBA enough to get comfortable with it.

It's a wonderful sense of accomplishment.

I wanted to get married in jeans before a justice of the peace. But, it was my husband's first wedding, so we just kept it, "No gifts, potluck," and I got my wedding dress used for like $200, my minister was a former AA sponsor, a friend who did photography did it as a gift for "free," and we did our own rehearsal dinner.

It actually turned out fun, and I'm glad I did it. The retreat center was awesome and so much cheaper than a "regular" wedding venue. I can't remember where I got my cake, but it was not expensive (it might have been Costco, honestly). Sober wedding, so that cut down on costs, considerably, etc.

When I look back at the pics, I'm happy we did it that way in the end. I think the whole thing was under 3K, and possibly under 2K. My sister in law made all the bouquets and flowers out of cut flowers we just kind of bought. I was looking for "inexpensive enough" to actually go on a honeymoon and whatnot. If I ever get around to dragging the pics off the husband's phone, like, I may post one, sometime. It was really fun, in the end.

ETA: @Possum64 , I can build and wick and I have a fine motor tremor. It was overwhelming (at first) but really, you owe it to yourself to at least TRY? You can start slow with a single coil RTA (clone even) or RDA if you prefer, but really, you need wire, the wicking material (both of which are pretty inexpensive) you don't have to get a whole coilmaster kit. I'm glad I did and it was helpful, but I am fairly certainly that you can do it. It just takes practice.

My first coil I called the "ECF collaborative coil" because I got so many cliff notes from members as I built it. I just posted questions as I had them (I did start with an absolutely nutty dual coil RTA, LOL) but SOMENE had the answer for everything, it took about 4--5 hours, but it was THE WRONG RTA for me to start with. It still got built and installed.

But you will/can get all the support in the world as you build it, though. Seriously. Give it a shot.

You're right...they do cost too much, but I am too chicken to try building though :(
I PROMISE if I can do it, anyone can. I started using out a coil jig, which made me feel more confident. Rarely get it out now. Plus, you can make a ton of the same coil at a time and store them. Makes a quick coil change more convenient. I started with the innokin ares, cause they make it pretty idiot proof and it comes with some tools. I KNOW you could do it

Key tool... jewelers headset. You could do brain surgery wearing one it’s so strong. The deck of the rta looks 4” across. Also, look into jewelers screwdrivers, they have long handles.

Vapor Cube has both the Slice SE & LE on for $14.95 each. It's a great working 26650 mod that has bad factory paint, which is no big deal for a beater mod. (The only difference between the SE & LE is that the LE has Ω symbols on the case and will do 3A charging with the appropriate USB source.)

They'll TC Kanthal and Nichrome too. :thumb:

My Dodger Blue one that I used a little paint stripper on. ;)

While everyone else is feeding an unhealthy obsession with the BRITISH Royal Wedding, I will be at the park with a nice claret in hand looking for this guy...........

Maybe we can party and convert him to vaping. It'll probably have to be an auto fire device though. That whole lack of opposable thumbs thing......

I have a company to open and close. As long as everything is working, mine’s easy to take care of, other than that. Since I don’t go anywhere, it’s something to do in the summer. But now that you mentioned it, I wouldn’t mind having a pool man!

I bet you would .........naughty girl!

I don’t understand the fascination with weddings. I didn’t even want to go to my own.

I agree. We did the whole on top of a mountain thing.....thank God for alcohol.
I tried to get her to just go to courthouse in cutoffs and flip flops, but she wasn't having it.
We have a deal, I had to show up for our wedding, but I get to skip my funeral.
(Which if I keep buying shinys might come sooner rather than later)

Well, I enjoyed watching the wedding. Saw a little bit of history being made. And so nice to see something pleasant and non-violent on tv for a change.
You know there are other channels right? Give Nickelodeon a try.
No rule says you HAVE to watch the violent stuff........:D

I must say, I am really enjoying this tank and the mod. Did not enjoy making the coils - feels like a chore and I hates the chores lol! - but I do like the results. Glad I bought the two tanks though, and wouldn’t mind having more. Very smooth.
It gets easier. Soon you'll be wrapping a coil and rewicking with one hand while pouring a cup of coffee, mixing your liquids, and refilling tanks with the other. ;)

For me, it’s not so much the shows, but the news blurbs in between. That’s one great thing about streaming... I’m not limited to toddler shows when avoiding the commercials. I’m struggling to keep a decent attitude, and with the world the way it is, ignoring reality is the only way.

Dudes, I have an IUD. Someone posted on this thread that I was nesting. That usually happens during a pregnancy. LOL. Which, the idea was terrifying. There are a few poses where it would probably be rather difficult to get pregnant.

Anyway my last dose was last night! Hopefully I can chhhhhiiiil. The no kids yoga was really in reference to that. Heh. I doubt the husband would get snipped, but ever since my first pregnancy I was like, "Okay, that's really my problem (getting pregnant) so I'd better take care of it. LOL.

I don't want a kiddo at 43, that would be insane..

Anna

Great plan!
