I wanted to get married in jeans before a justice of the peace. But, it was my husband's first wedding, so we just kept it, "No gifts, potluck," and I got my wedding dress used for like $200, my minister was a former AA sponsor, a friend who did photography did it as a gift for "free," and we did our own rehearsal dinner.
It actually turned out fun, and I'm glad I did it. The retreat center was awesome and so much cheaper than a "regular" wedding venue. I can't remember where I got my cake, but it was not expensive (it might have been Costco, honestly). Sober wedding, so that cut down on costs, considerably, etc.
When I look back at the pics, I'm happy we did it that way in the end. I think the whole thing was under 3K, and possibly under 2K. My sister in law made all the bouquets and flowers out of cut flowers we just kind of bought. I was looking for "inexpensive enough" to actually go on a honeymoon and whatnot. If I ever get around to dragging the pics off the husband's phone, like, I may post one, sometime. It was really fun, in the end.

@Possum64 , I can build and wick and I have a fine motor tremor. It was overwhelming (at first) but really, you owe it to yourself to at least TRY? You can start slow with a single coil RTA (clone even) or RDA if you prefer, but really, you need wire, the wicking material (both of which are pretty inexpensive) you don't have to get a whole coilmaster kit. I'm glad I did and it was helpful, but I am fairly certainly that you can do it. It just takes practice.
My first coil I called the "ECF collaborative coil" because I got so many cliff notes from members as I built it. I just posted questions as I had them (I did start with an absolutely nutty dual coil RTA, LOL) but SOMENE had the answer for everything, it took about 4--5 hours, but it was THE WRONG RTA for me to start with. It still got built and installed.
But you will/can get all the support in the world as you build it, though. Seriously. Give it a shot.
