Man my mom successfully dropped OFF. LOL, I also have 3 (social work ARGH) but none of them are with kids. I really hope I can get the geriatric one, I think I would like it most. I KNEW it probably was going to go down like this, I just hope I can handle part time, and it's not too bad. The other one is with prisoners, the third one is rather... IDK exactly what it is, I think it's behavioral treatment one of my favorite things. Only-- Youth. Not holding my breath on that one.

So, I'd say overall a successful visit. LOL, I'd say if anything the argument caused everyone to... chillll. It actually was the nicest visit I had with her yet, she did her whole Hajj thing when I was like, "Mom, you don't have to apologize for your parenting, honest, really I know you did the best you could." She was all fixated on beating me up as a kid (NOT actually my big beef with her) and I was like, "You know, you were nuts on steroids and etc. it's not like everything was going FANTASTIC for you." Heh, though, she really needed to apologize so I finally let her. Then I got this AMAZING speech about being "Smart, brave, tough, handling my illness and etc."

(I feel no bravery or toughness about ANYTHING and I don't think failing to off myself is an actual ACHIEVEMENT, I mean we all should aim for that. I guess my suicidal months like, traumatized her, and whatnot, she even said I was a better DRIVER although for the most part, I just let her drive... easier. So, I guess that was kind of cool? Weird? Anyway she loves her art deco glassware and wine holder I bought her, in packaging it up she used EVERY single piece of bubble warp and packing peanuts I had, then went and bought more.)

When I got home I was chillin with the husband, after I told him he did great (he would just go and dig when he was upset, LOL) he had a meltdown at me, and I was like, "Well, I kind of figured that was coming." He's seeing his Pdoc today, I wish I could secretly record the visit it's gonna be EPIC. Heh, the husband was like, "I know she came here to make things right with you and the kid, and I just stayed out of the way).

The minute I get a part time job , I am buying something SHINY like a Minikin. I COMPLETELY deserve it, I was the BEST daughter I KNEW how to be and frankly our one meltdown... Just made me get my mom more and etc.

I"M STILL BUYING A MINIKIN, not sure what color, but I'm GETTNIG one. Heh.

@Coastal Cowboy , my next book is going to be about lobbyists .I'm looking FORWARD to the research. :D

Nothing in the First about lobbying. Redress of grievance is not lobbying. They can write a letter to their congresscritter, same as any other citizen can. What makes you think they deserve to be listened to over and above a citizen?
This 'debate' should have been in the Lounge, from the start.
This thread has from the beginning been open for any topic of discussion. We are generally respectful and cordial and very good at checking each other if otherwise.

Hello Shiny's.
Question for the squonkers...
Thoughts on the Nikola Niagara? I like the form and am fine with VW only. Not at all interested in the rda and wouldn't use it, just curious what the experienced think of the mod design.

I got one and used it for 1 day. It may work fine if I figure out how to put in a better bottle. All you have to do is look at that bottle funny and it will squonk....juice everywhere. Also, it didn't seem to hit that hard either. I got so frustrated that I pulled off the Drop I had on it and put it on my Kangertech Dripbox 160 and it hit a lot harder on it than the Niagara.

Thanks. Not for me, mod has to hit good or I won't use it. The search continues. Luckily I'm in no hurry for a squonk, just resigned to the inevitable purchase of one.

Love the looks of the device. Kind of reminiscent of the iJoy

As one who is old enough to have lost both parents, I can tell you it’s best to not keep rehashing the past, opening old wounds, and arguing about issues that are water over the dam. As you get older, you’ll realize that every tense moment lived by arguing or trying to justify issues that can no longer be altered is a wasted moment for the present and future.
Life is finite and once a person reaches a certain age, the game of chance begins. Even a person in their 60’s can be here one day and gone the next. Many times that day comes without warning.
And believe me, if someone passes, the last thing you want is to have your last contact with them to have been unpleasant.
I think you’d be better emotionally if you and your mom now concentrated on the present and future.
Didn’t mean to intrude, but I’ve been there.

That sucks. I use 8vape quite often, and never had an issue. They are one of my top vape sites. I wonder if you were in contact with a "noob" employee? Nonetheless, inappropriate comments about the military shouldn't have been made. Would calling their customer support help any? Not sure who you originally called.

CS is who I was speaking with.
I eventually got one that apologized and said she understood my frustration, and said she would walk my order out to the warehouse supervisor to ensure it went out that same day.

I would have liked to at least have been given expedited shipping.
I then sent an email to a web address that one of the founders posted as a direct contact for issues, but it came back.
It is what it is. Now it will arrive a day after an order from China I ordered on the same day, lol.

I keep watching for the cellphone/vape mod combo to tun up on Fasttech or Gearbest. China will have to try. Maybe a TV/mod will show up first! :D:lol: Watch youtube vape reviews on your vape device while vaping! woohooo!

There was a device years ago that was a phone case mod for iphone's.

100%!

If there was one silver lining in my husband’s illness, it’s that we knew what was coming and we had a chance to get square on everything. I feel so fortunate to know that when the chips were down, we could forgive one another, thank each other, and all that sort of thing.

I make it a point now, to be in that mindset with everyone. I still have my mother, but I lost my dad when I was a baby. Lost a lot of people in their childhood, twenties, thirties. It’s not like everyone dies of old age. So I always knew, people walk out the door and that may be the last time you see them.

It’s hard to keep up that level of “last chance to tell them I love them” especially with a spouse, a parent, those close enough to drive you completely bonkers. But it’s healthy to clear the slate once in a while.

@Coastal Cowboy ,
Hope you already know I got mucho respecto for ya.
I disagree, but unlike others I will not disinvite you to my White House gathering.

Please bring chips.
I believe reasonable people should be able to disagree reasonably. Problem is that we're running out of reasonable people.

Everyone hates lobbyists until it's their lobbyist petitioning the government for redress of their own grievances. I mean... who here could hate CASAA?
