So I could not stop myself...I bought the Asmodus Lustro. It was on sale and they had Tiffany Blue which will go great with my Tiffany Blue Loki Lab drip tip.

Actually, @redeuce , I had very little interest in rehashing old wounds, LOL. I just put most of mine to the side. I think it's something my mom felt compelled to do, the only thing I really wanted was a coherent ending to my book, but I knew it was unlikely to happen.

That's kinda why I didn't get into any past anything with my mom and just tried to let her have a good time. If "Hajj" made her feel the need to apologize, well, I don't have much control over that.

This was the most successful visit I have ever had with my mom, actually, so I'm a little disappointed to think it went "wrong." My goal is really just "lack of arguments." The one we had was over politics, not my deep dark past.

I do care about my parent, she's just very very controlling and it can be hard. I'm just glad it went as well as it did, and believe me if I had given her the "Let's just stay in the present" speech it would have been BAD. So, while I agree with you in principle, it's quite easy to say "what you and your mom should do," you don't actually KNOW my mom and what me and my mom "should" do (in my estimation) is "whatever she wants." It is quite rare for it to be what *I* necessarily want, and I just deal with it. I don't have much choice.

If you could see my husband right now, you'd get it. My mom is super difficult. I am FAR from easy, but my goal for every visit is for her to leave happy, not miserable. If I told her to shut up when she was doing her "Hajj" amends? Well, I'm in recovery and I know how HARD amends can be, so if she felt the need, I was not going to STOP her either. And I think it would have been disrespectful, it was a religious matter.

Sorry, I mostly agree with you and my dad and I have such a relationship. My mom is a bit of a challenge, but as not the easiest woman of all time myself, well, I get it (and try to do better.)

I can't walk a mile in my mom's shoes. I'm not going to disallow her making an amends for the past, EVER. She seriously thinks she may die, she is doing this with all her kids, and it's a religious matter.

Everyone hates lobbyists until it's their lobbyist petitioning the government for redress of their own grievances. I mean... who here could hate CASAA?
Sure, CASAA being of equal standing to Exxon, right?
How many million normal citizens are equal to one AT&T, in terms of political power?
Should more money equal more votes? More representation?
No need to answer, as you made your views clear above.
I can still agree with you on vaping topics, though, OK?:)

You have to admit there are various level of lobbyist and all are not treated equal. Deep pockets create an unlevel playing field and there should strict enforced limits applied. But then we would be in Utopia and would not be having the conversation.

Did you sort out your o-ring thing last night?
no but nothing leaked overnight and now I am wondering if perhaps a stray o-ring was attached to the bottom of the cup-like tool holder of vape tools or a bottle of juice. Both of these things I pulled from the kind of catch all box I kept on the table.

That introduces another variable, don't it...:D
Well, either way, you will know in the long term.;)
EDIT: Disclaimer: My use of 'don't it' here is an example of imitation of colloquial speech, and does not reflect my knowledge of grammar, or the use of language, in general.:D

If it was small, are you sure it wasn't off a drip tip?

I have survived the 6 hour drive to the Lakehouse with #3 and her two friends. We listened to a podcast called “my favorite murder”. For five hours. Then, cleared the screened porch of evil spiders so they could go swim. I’m now enjoying peace, in my room, alone. Need to rebuild my coils, but I think it’s prudent to wait till tomorrow when my head isn’t pounding. I did bring five new juices. Hopefully they’re all steeped enough.

I know more about serial killers than I ever wanted. Guess that’s what I get for driving around three psych grad students o_O Definitely not rebuilding or even rewicking today. Even if the juice turns black. I do have a couple zeniths in my vape emergency box here if it gets desperate

Glad you survived the drive @NolaMel . Building under those circumstances....

I like my planets aligned JUST so when I build, never mind podcasts of "my favorite murder." That doesn't sound like driving material, let alone coiling material.

Anna
I have very limited vape equipment, so not as much coil building as those with a pile. I make an extra coil whenever I do that job, so I can just 'test and go' when I'm lazy! (never tried pre-wicking, though it could be done)

At least they're psych grad students or I'd be questioning being alone with them at the lake house.........

I have to admit, I like serial killer stuff too. I'm currently watching "Dexter." LOL, it was soothing honestly, I think there is something about learning "human behavior" that causes one to go TELL ME ALL OF IT. Although I prefer my version fictionalized and poorly done, one of my favorite shows was "Criminal Minds." Anyone with an IQ over 60 would know that FBI profiling doesn't work that way.

AND, my job interview went well. I have a second one scheduled any minute. I was happy to find out the jail is under new management, it might be fun.

Honestly I kind of love some conduct disordered adults. They keep you on your toes. But yes, I was correct, the ONLY jobs drooling over me are part time SW ones. I have an in person interview for Monday for a bunch of geriatrics (also acceptable).

And THIS:

Success, she arrived at the other end. LOL. I KNEW I'd be reactivating my license here soon. Sigh. To be fair, my resume is entirely geared toward SW.

I am buying a PURPLE Minikin the minute I get hired somewhere. :)
