Strap them to the dog and play fetch?
Don't have to walk the dog that day.
Two birds/one stone kinda thing.......
  • Vac seal put in washing machine for a spin
  • As above, cable tie to car front wheel
  • As above, velcro to speaker cone and play AC/DC at the volume it was intended

All great ideas, but can I play Disturbed instead of AC/DC or Jimmy Buffet for my milder liquids? :D

Looks like that would support a chimney coil ...
Not sure. Might short as you adjust airflow.
The gold cylinders move up and down as you adjust the airflow. They are guides.
The airflow is adjusted vertically rather than horizontally. As you move the airflow adjuster side to side a piston moves up and down in the center closing off the slots.
Also, the screw in the middle is a secondary airflow rather than a terminal.

i forgot about the disc's ,,, fwiw,, they also come in sticker form to avoid scratches. I didn't like the discs,, but you may. i felt like i was having to drop the center pin too much creating a semi wobble.......but thats just me,, i am sure they are fantastic for other people

Where did you find the stickers?

For those looking for mod guards and can DIY.
Use a 2 liter soda bottle, cut 3x3 sheet of the plastic. Drill a hole in it. Insert atomizer and trace. Once done you have a template. Other than time it's cheaper and no shipping delay.

They will be the approximate thickness of alot of those posted. And you can make as many 22 or 25mm guards you want.......

Ok I'm going back to vegetating.

Where did you find the stickers?
I have no idea/memory of where I got them-likely fastech?????????,, I piffed them away. seems like any sticker/hearty tape would work,, use an exacto knife or good scissors to trim it down

On the 510 mod saver things, I should add that part of the reason I quit using the nylon/plastic washer and stuck with my index cards was because the nylon/plastic washers did cause light scratches on mods.
Maybe there are ways to mitigate this, but I'm lazy.

I actually sold an Alien because my CDO couldn't take the scratches near the 510.
Shortly after, all the problems with the Alien surfaced.
Dodged that one I guess. Lol.

Where did you find the stickers?
Some use simple neoprene washers from the hardware store. They have different sizes and are usually black or clear. Can't remember the measurements of the thickness.

Did all that per the video sent by Susaz and it made matters worse. Things started to freeze up. Can I just backtrack and undo it?
So sorry to be highjacking this thread for this stuff folks

With readyboost, you just eject the SD card or USB and remove it.
Are you sure it was ReadyBoost you tried?
