I need some help. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to get the original glass off the Zeus single rta to replace it with a bubble tank.

I remember at some point a few people were discussing it on this thread. So if there’s some kind of secret please fill me in lol!!

Thanks
Use some needle nose pliers and wrench out the piece under the top cap, after you have removed it from the base.

Well a 30 second DR RTA review. It has a few inherent flaws, the biggest being getting the deck screwed back onto the tank. Even with the bottom deck off the mod (a requirement) it can be tough to catch properly. The decks itself locks on to keep lined up with the air slots. More than once I thought I had it properly engaged but nope. At least I caught it before filling.

The flat head screws suck working with, but there are the hex screws included to swap in. I didn't but will on the next build. I did build the coils up high, and as a result made the user error of not leaving a long enough piece of cotton to bring down to the juice holes. I'm just used to shorter tails and it took a bit of extra cotton to get to the right length. Felt like I was wicking an RDTA with the deck way up top. That's those rabbit ears.

I really thought I'd short the coils out as high as I had them (sorry no pics was getting aggravated over the flat head screws and wick length) but it was fine. Full air and it does whistle. At a little bit turned down, it's quiet as can be. Excellent airflow and very good flavor. Plenty of cloud. Overall I really like the vape from it. I just dread rewicking and having to screw the base back in. I do know not to attempt it with juice in the tank until I'm more used to it.

Sorry forgot to include the final result. This is the stock DT the gunmetal comes with. I think it matches up well with the side panels on the paranormal.

Looks awesome. I am waiting for the dust to settle on the DR before I get one so be sure to give updates or reviews on it.

This sounds exactly like the Zeus.

No secret.
As mentioned, you can use needle nose pliers in the fill holes, use kitchen grippy things, etc.
Just be careful, the cage thing is easily bent up when trying to get it off.

Dance competition the very notion sends shivers up my spine. LOL I was the lead in my HS musical (Marian the Librarian) and well I was bolder then so the singing was fine, the acting was fine.

Dancing.... Is unpleasant. Unless you are like buried in a bunker 200 feet underground alone, and everyone else is dead. Then it might be okay.

You deserve all the shiny in the world. LOL. Can only dance drunk so haven't really danced since 1999. I dance to my own beat and not in the GOOD way either.

Congrats on your new shiny. I just changed a nautilus coil and it felt "exciting and different" can't wait for my RTA although I am sure I will have to,

Anna

Having to spend the day at a dance competition is not a lot of fun. Coming home to this makes up for itView attachment 770227
Curious about your initial thoughts.
Oh btw check the tube in your bottles. The first couple hundred or so they forgot to trim the tube. Mine was straight and was difficult to squonk, once I trimmed it at the angle its awesome.

Mine were both cut straight too. So far, IMO this one is a game changer. Innovation is a word that gets thrown around a lot. Innovation that is change for the sake of change and doesn't improve the user's experience is gimmicky. Innovation that that makes using the product better or easier is real innovation and IMO that's what the Topside is. The top fill feature alone makes it my favorite squonk mod. The bottle size is another big plus. It's not going to replace my Rage mod for at home all day vaping but it's going to retire my collection of single battery box squonks that I usually have on hand. Sorry, I get a bit long winded when I really like a new shiny.

Could be my imagination but does the squonk action seem easier than other mods?
Maybe cause it's the new shiny like you said but seems not as much pressure is required.

I agree. The material is the same as other bottles so I don't really understand why. I like it though!

Could it be because even though it's the same material, it's taller (10ml) so it's not as rigid in the center?
I'm purely guessing......
