I guess you could say I put myself on the Shiny Physical Therapy Plan. I need to see if I can get my insurance to cover my treatmenI s. :)I walk out to the mailboxes halfway across the complex at least once a day to check on incoming gear. My 40Ts were supposed to get here yesterday but nothing in the box. The Rabbit tank should arrive tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to building on it.

Edit: Good morning! Sorry, I am kinda looped on Painkillers...

Picking up my son from school was a bit scary. Lots of kids running around everywhere. I thought I was gonna get taken out by a 2nd grader... I also need to get my car from my parents's house soon. I drove it there before surgery and it's been there ever since. It may be fun trying to drive a stick shift right about now. .(and only on Advil)

Eightvape usually has good pricing for coils. If you order 5pks from ft you get a discount as well on top of any code.
That is probably where I got them. Couldn’t seem to find them this morning. Dammit if I could sleep past 3 I might be able to function lol.

Good morning my fellow vapeurs and vapeuses.

Running on half an hour of sleep today. I was on a video chat and then remotely logged into my uncle's PC all night. His BIOS did not support the graphics card I got him. After figuring that out and corrupting his windows partition, I spent all night reinstalling windows, flashing his bios, and coaching him through rewiring power in his PC.

Finally got it all done, and dummy-proofed his computer and set up the perfect restore point. Heading to bed I got a notification that my KRMA arrived in city and should be getting it today.

Picked the perfect day for sleep deprivation. Started work with an urgent request to calculate projected workloads in 2019-2020, and have to prep for a meeting with our VP and somehow convince him that we need to hire 6 people above budget.

Can't wait to post those pictures of the KRMA.

dom qp loves you all, go in peace my children

OK Shiny Folks, am looking hard at the DR RTA and need some first hand experienced info about it.

Make sure to wear your safety squints.

Did you visit the thread? I think Eskie is the only shiner that already has one in use. Are you wanting to use as a mtl?

I’m looking forward to checking out the drop solo.

I'm one of the few, seemingly, people that like the drop solo (at least more than the recurve).

But there's a couple tips to know:

1) The smaller PMMA cap will reduce the chamber and give a lot better flavour. It's more similar to the high end single coil RSAs you can buy. But if you build your coil too high, it will melt the inside of the top cap and that's not a good thing.

2) I use the regular metal cap, but in both cases you get better flavour (and avoid melting the plastic cap) if you build your coil upside down...

I have decided against the Freemax as I have heard it is too airy. I do DL but do not like massive AF.
As for my other choice, the DR, I am not sure I need another rebuildable because sometimes I am just plain sick of all the mess, although I did just order a boatload of prebuilt coils from AVS.
First leg of my journey called "Leaving LA" is happening today. Picking up ex ex husband (husband from my youth) today at the LA airport. He is coming to help me drive myself and all my animals out of here. Belongings are going on a 23ft trailer ahead of me. I will pull out of my beloved California on Oct 15. This will make the third time I have moved back to California and then left again. I have a love-hate relationship with her. It takes me coming here and living for a year to realize it is not the place I want to live. I guess home is what you know and I am not sure that ever changes.

Had not checked the thread yet, and yest am planning on trying it as MTL.
I have been able to use some other RTAs that are not MTL specific with higher ohm coils.
they are a bit airy for my preference, but still acceptable to me.

Best of luck with the move and welcome back home. It still feels weird to me to be back in GA after 45 years away.

I just read through the DR RTA thread. Thanks for the lead @Letitia. From what I have seen posted about the DR RDA and now @Eskie 's comments in the DR RTA thread. I think with a little tweeking the DR RTA will have a flavor boost over the rtas currently in my collection.

I think the DR is a solid performer. You won't be disappointed.

Edit : just saw the mtl use. I can't vouch on that one. Remember it's dual coil, and that's not great off the bat for mtl. What about a single coil Intake? It's a restricted DL to begin with, so restricting that down might be a better option.
