But didn't smok mount the magnets reversed on the first run? :D

Good morning all! Sucks it's a federal holiday and there's no mail service.

Totally agree, as looking at informed delivery like a kid watching the oven waiting for chocolate chip cookies to be finished.. knowing my stuff is there and I could have been using new shiny stuff

@Rangertrix loses everybody from time to time, I think he does it almost unconsciously because he's like training recruits or something? Like, losing them from time to time (I mean a location in space, not necessarily dead. I think.) but see what I mean.

I have been doing yoga sick for so long I had this like transcendent yoga experience when everything went so awesome and it was like, crazy easy. I kissed the frog on my mat (I love my yoga mat a lot) and talked to it for a while afterwards about what an awesome time we had together today.

Yeah, yeah, I know. LOL. I really try to rein it in until people get to know my sensible side first. Time to practice, but not with YOU lot, with RL folks like the husband although to be fair he didn't even blink as I was talking my yoga mat. But real people strangers. If all goes as planned I should be super AT WORK for like the first time in a long time.

I’m glad you’re keeping up the yoga. I know, it’s hard enough when you don’t feel awful, and it’s an easy out to say meh, I don’t feel up to it today. But it really does help to make you feel less awful in the long run.

I’m still doing my 55 push-ups every day (almost, I skip them on lawn day cuz that’s enough work).

When I was 40, I could have done them so much more easily. But then, I wouldn’t have pushed until it hurt and done more. I’m so used to struggling with anything physically hard now it just seems normal. But I’m able to do a lot more weed whacking before I want to cry. And I think I lost another couple pounds but I’m afraid to get on the scale after spending all weekend at my brother ‘s house, eating like a plague of locusts.

And speaking of that, I had like nine people ask me, upon seeing my new SL, how many of those things DO you have??? My mom thinks it’s pretty and wants one lol.

Honestly I’d have to count. 22? Maybe more. Don’t care. I’m not asking anyone else to pay for them.

And it was Mom’s 88th birthday. My nephew ‘s dog had puppies and here she is loving on one of them. I just love how cute she is right here!

Afternoon Shinies,

Hope are all OK and are resisting the financial urge to splurge.

Cleito fatboy glass arrived, it fits and I have now installed my rebuildable deck, woohoo :). Also experimenting with Temperature Control.

Will post up my experiences later, but let's say they have been interesting :thumb:.

I'm resisting, I'm resisting!

Happy Columbus day, the day he thought he discovered India.

Yeah, I like have no idea why we celebrate this guy and also from all accounts he was not a nice man, even slightly. I guess you have to be focused if like you are up for discovering continents.

I think we should have Louis and Clark day instead (it could last many months :lol:) I read a book on those two, seems to me they had it considerably harder AND fought amongst themselves, a trait I admire.

Uh oh, I've been nativized I guess. Happy sales shiny shopping that seems to be the most apt way to celebrate the good old US of A (like ALL holidays). I wonder if Hallmark makes Columbus day cards and what sort of stuff they say....

new phone got delivered (huawei P20 - or EML-L09 to give it its full title) after using my P9 for two years it is pretty much perfectly setup...new one is a rather daunting prospect though it's a really nice bit of kit...and rather shiny.

Columbus did not think he landed in India, but that he found the Indies. :pervy:

Go for it, those battery packs sell for 16 to 17 grand.

Yes. One of the many reasons I have refused to buy an electric car from the start. Let's add a power source! Let's make it degradable. Let's also make it very, very expensive.

When my brother got one of those Toyota things, I called him and his wife yuppies, and I don't think I had said that word in many years. LOL.

Also, I'm going to drive on gasoline and self-driving mode only until it is legislated out of existence so there is always that.

Yeah yeah I'm not from here, but still a probably inexcusable mistake, especially since I did many, many Columbus day events with the kiddo. You sound like my brother when I was studying for my citizenship test. He was like "You studied?" I was like, "You didn't?" and then he started this rapid fountain of answers like who created the free library system and all this crazy (censored.)
He also said, "I told the guy that I refused to do that pledge they make you do" maybe it was the pledge of allegiance but it seemed more involved somehow. I was jealous. They made me come to a SPECIAL ceremony and the guard asked me "Where are your friends and family they should be here to celebrate?" and I kind of gave him this blank stare and was like, "Oh... I was supposed to bring them? I could barely bring myself" only instead I said (meekly) "My bad." And I guess I could have silently resisted the pledge because we all said it in unison. Back when my brother did it, the dude was like, "Cool. Here's your certificate then," after my brother essentially refused to commit to dying for the US or whatever.

My ceremony took several hours to achieve and people were like, invited to stand and speak and talk about their "naturalization experience" and there was a lot of clapping and shouting and stuff. I found it very dull but eh. Apparently my mommy was getting worried about how long I could go without some dreadful felony or something because she paid for it. I was like, "Okay since I can keep dual citizenship, well, fine."

She did it for all her kids, but I was last one. Sometimes you just know which kid a parent is willing to lose, it felt like one of those moments.
