how do you deal with refilling when out&about?
I use a dotsquonk for out and about -- holds 12ml, so refilling isn't usually required during the day.
Ya man take out the bottle refill it and put it back in. In 90 percent of cases that’s going to be faster then using the refill bottle.

Unless you have a special type of squonk bottle the refill bottle requires the bottle to be completely empty and if you don’t fill all up in one go then you are sol
That's not my experience with refill bottles, I've often refilled with one before the bottle in the mod is empty -- just have to do the invert/revert dance.

Problem I have with refill bottles is changing flavours. Am I supposed to get 4 bottles so I can switch between 4 flavours?

IMO as soon as you get the pinch bottle and screw-release pinch technique down, it isn't worth the trouble of adding another step to the squonking routine.

fasttech has some bottles that are like 3 dollars each. And there’s always the 60ml unicorn bottle adapter. So you could. Anything is possible.

This is true. I spent over the last year using 120ml bottles for 90% of my juice. Just recently switched back to 60ml bottles. I guess that adapter could be pretty handy.

I have one of these...
$0.93 PET Empty Needle Refiller Bottle for E-Liquid (10ml) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I keep some pg in it for lubing o-rings. I don't use it for filling tanks because it is slow.
Perhaps it would be ok for refilling a squonk without any mess?

Man. When I first started vaping, all my juice came in those little bottles with the needle. Funny how back then that was enough liquid for a bit, now it would only be enough until I finish my first coffee.

Unless you are using one of the bottles with an air release valve like the Lost Vape ones, refilling through the 510 takes a while.
Every time you squeeze liquid into the 510, you have to wait for the trapped air in the squonk bottle to make its way back up into the refill bottle or break the seal
Because you need to squeeze all the air out of the squonk bottle. Then screw the refill on and then fill the vacuum.
You're both doing it wrong then. Air is compressible, doesn't matter if there's some liquid left in the squonk bottle or not, you can screw the refill bottle on, turn the mod upside down and squeeze air from the squonk into the refill bottle. You also don't have to "break the seal" or something (maybe that's an army instructor jibe at the navy I didn't get :D), just screw the thing on and begin the hourglass flipflop dance.

That said, refilling the bottle the proven stone age way (by taking it out) is at least 10 times faster. Can be messier though, so if you're out and about the refill bottles can come in handy.

Y tho. The physics is the same. All the air needs to be out of the bottle.

I'm a sneeze away from ordering, but wish I could see the powder coated finishes :(

DIY Box Mod Kit - DNA75/75c BF/Squonk - Canada

I've built two of his 3D printed squonkers 75 & 75C (20700). I don't like the method of attaching the battery posts. The Negative is soldered to the ground plane which is perfectly fine, the Positive is glued to the plastic with CA (superglue) and that does break free reducing the tension on the connection. I've re-glued mine a few times, just haven't got around to finding a better method to attach it.

The two center ones (B2K & Boaz) were his 3D printed cases, he sprayed them with truck bed liner after printing which provides a really durable surface.

No, you don't have to get air out before connecting the refill. Again. Screw them together, flip the mod upside down and squeeze the air from the squonk into the refil, compressing air in the refill bottle. That pressure will assist you when you flip it again and squeeze juice from the refill into the squonk. Simple physics indeed.
waiting for the air to move from one bottle to the other
Why wait when you can squeeze? ;)

I have squonk mods and I have refill bottles, I have no problem refilling a squonk bottle with juice in there and I don't wait for air to do anything. Do you both have refill bottles? If yes then face it, you're doing it wrong. Try harder :p

My first squonk will be the Vandy Vape Simple Ex and it is out for delivery. I plan to pair the mod with a Vapefly Galaxies MTL RDTA.

I use very little liquid (maybe 2ml/day), but when I am going out for a significant amount of time, I just take an extra filled tank to avoid opening a tank and filling.

I would like to buy extra squonk bottles that both fit in the Simple Ex and have caps for carrying but I don't see anything like that on FT.

If you're vaping 2ml a day I don't think that's necessary.

That's like bringing along an extra pair of shoes in case you wear them out while going to the store for milk.
