this is from the latest update on the Canada Post site:for International parcels: Delays are likely to stretch into March of 2019. International items will require screening by the Canada Border Services Agency. We are working in partnership with them to manage the significant existing backlog.
I would think the coil would be okay. Eons ago, I used to soak them in everclear , rinse and air dry. Not sure about the oven, but I dry them with the blow dryer on a couple of desperate situations.Evening Shinies,
May your Black Friday hauls continue to be delivered on time.
Nothing much to report, Royal Mail managed to deliver the batteries to Amazon, so they are now processing the refund. Glad I sent them back now, even if I did have visions of RM destroying them.
As I am now "All shinied out" for the immediate future, will have to content myself now with lurking and experimenting with with coil designs and DIY flavours. My finger did "accidentally" hit the buy button on a clone atty I liked the look of, it cost less than a packet of tobacco so I don't feel too guilty. Should arrive tomorrow.
Have some friends coming over on Saturday evening for supper, due to circumstances we haven't seen them in absolutely ages. My friend has been on at me for months to take up vaping rather than smoking, so I think they will be shocked at the growing vape collection. They are a MTL vaper, I was thinking of giving them my old ecig style pen as I'll never use it and just can't get along with MTL. If I put the miniature coil through the ultrasonic cleaner will it be reusable once it dries out in a warm oven? I've only used it for 3 drags but it seems crazy to throw it out and I'd rather all the kit went to a good home.
I'm hoping we can have a serious "After dinner dripping session", that way I can get some objective feedback on my DIY ejuices while consuming a nice bottle of red wine. It sure beats standing outside in the cold smoking. All I need do now is decide on the menu. If I had my way it would be Spaghetti Vongole, but Mrs OG doesn't like clams. Whatever we end up with, it will definitely contain copious amounts of garlic and probably alcohol. So that rules out curry ...
You can always just give the coils in their current, almost unused condition. Any residual flavor will change over really fast once they use a new juice, and is probably going to work way better than the shake and bake approach.
Warm water rinse under tap, overnight soak in the alcohol and air dry. If they have a lot of cotton I would give them a quick water rinse after the alcohol, just takes longer to air dry. Skip the heat, it's unnecessary imo. They have been sitting in the unused ejuice for about 6-8 weeks, will they still be hygienic? Once they fire up it should kill off anything nasty in theory, but I'm a bit OCD about cleanliness.
They don't have Everclear in the UK, and we don't have any vodka, but I do have a bottle of Isopropyl alcohol to hand - would that work?
No, no...not without copious rinsing!!! Isopropyl is denatured which = dangerous for consumption. Id go with a hot water bath before that. They have been sitting in the unused ejuice for about 6-8 weeks, will they still be hygienic? Huh didn’t know that and used it regularly if I was out of cheap vodka. Use it to clean residue in tanks too.No, no...not without copious rinsing!!! Isopropyl is denatured which = dangerous for consumption. Id go with a hot water bath before that.

Oh no!Eeeeeek, this is from the latest update on the Canada Post site:
I have stuff that must have landed here before CP requested international partners to cease shipments --- but none of it has been scanned. My SQ is sitting somewhere in a dark box, in a cold dark truck, and may be for a long time to come yet ... it is going to need serious therapy (I know I do)

I never noticed anything. Most of my coils back then were packed pretty heavily with cotton and those I rinsed to eliminate the alcohol odor.I’ll soak a tank with it, but that can be rinsed. Id be afraid the wicking would hold some residual i.a.
Do you even allow dust in your home?So got around to giving the DR RDA a shot. Git it in the blacked out, so an all velvet black finish and black DR logo instead of silver. It really does give a very nice vape. Built it with some triple fused Claptons and the resistance came in a tad low for any unregulated squonking, but it's happy on my regulated Topside at 55W.
