Keeps me coming back. That's a stellar rig you have, there.
Thanks and thanks for the advice by the way.

I really like this Bolt, it's not the best out there, but it's very good.

Although I knew ohms law and battery safety and did all of my due diligence @dom qp and @Tralfaz were helpful with some great mech advice! Thanks guys

Started vaping on my first pure mech today and absolutely love the vape. I get it now, even the silver contacts are a big difference.

There's going to have to be more mech purchases in the New Year after getting through Christmas!

Best part? A year from now when people are waiting in line for their Drag 3s, Topside 2s, and Squonk-Priv 15s, your mech will still be a performer.

Wash it with some ketchup, upgrade the batteries if something new comes out, and it's still delivering.

The acidity apprently helps to clean them. Personally, and i'll be 100% honest, I just use febreeze all purpose cleaner.

Clearly A.L isn't in the Christmas spirit yet, no wraps today. That's a first! I won't complain, he tossed in a bottle of juice, and I have enough wraps to last me 5 years from previous orders

So I'd need to find a good MTL tank with a protruding pin. Does such a thing exist?

Should be plenty... I haven't used a mech mod in about 3-years and I didn't know the Zenith does not have a protruding or adjustable 510 so my bad there....

But yes, you'll want something adjustable or protruding...

Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.... Elevate and Galaxies both came today. Love the Elevate. Whoever keeps saying the vapefly rdta can go rdl should be b**ch slapped. It’s super tight open as far as it’ll go. I’ll use it for a bit and PIF it. Too $ to try and drill out I think. Now I need to find a semi mtl sort of rdl rdta to replace it.

Someone with better knowledge than me should answer. I don’t have one to look at, but in the OLD ancient mech threads, people talked about using kfuns, tritons etc. That would’ve been on a non hybrid top though I’d guess.

I have DL tanks. For daily I prefer a restricted dl. I’m in some awful grey zone. Mtl is usually too tight, dl too loose. I like a cooler vape too. I put a 0.6 fused clapton in the Elevate, and it’s about perfect at 1/3 af open.

I used drop in coils on non fauxbrid mechs all the time. I wouldn't suggest it on fauxbrid. I haven't had much luck finding new tube mechs with 510 pins. Most older mechs have pins if you can find them. There are a couple stores blowing out old mech mods right now. All 22mm. Some authentic some clones. I have lost interest in them lately or I would have cleared them out.

Just checking, but do you have the airflow screws (hex) on the deck backed out as well as using the largest airholes on the cap? I don't do RDL (normally), but if I set the largest holes on either side of the cap and back out the airflow screws, mine is pretty airy and I can do RDL (at least, what I consider RDL).

I will never be a builder and am using the Zenith tank. Would that work? If so, what mech mod would you recommend? I see that some come with a locking mechanism. That sounds comforting.

I'm going to advise a big differently. There is too much variability in QC on drop in coils. Insulators slip and wires protrude where they shouldn't. I would never use a tank that uses drop in coils, protruding 510 or not, 510 on the mech or a faux hybrid, ever. The risk of a short is too great and it's out of your hands. You're relying on a mass produced coil to be properly made to assure your health and safety.

How many times so folks discuss getting bad coils and problems with getting check atomizer? On a regulated mod, you get that heads up and stay safe. On a mech you find out the hard way.

If you're not prepared to build, don't bother with a mech. You're better off with the safety features in your regulated mod and avoiding real trouble. But if you ever want to build, which isn't all that hard, there are lots of mtl options out there and they most all will work well on a mech. But that's just my opinion. I know others choose differentl.
