I’d imagine the inner cap can get hot, but there is a void between it and the outer cap for air. Mikey put a decent sized build in his review and commented on it being cooler.

That article is the only one I found that says it's a mech mod. It also had battery safety tips. According to the articles I read he purchased it at another shop and was there for help in using it.

I have seen people who know about ohms law running 18ga. 4 wrap dual builds on 18650 VGODs You don't know what the person is going to do with it after they walk out the door. Even if they have knowledge, it doesn't necessarily mean they are smart
