Not exactly shiny ... but I'm feeling shiny about it:
View attachment 800099
It seems my brother actually had a couple sealed bottles of Halo Bella Valente in a box at the back of a closet. He dropped them off for me today. Best before July 2013.

A quick dripper tests says the flavor is still there, somewhat on the harsher side -- not unexpected since a) it is 18mg while I use 10mg these days, and b) oxidized, and c) I used to dilute it with unflavored.

We shall see what some dilution and perhaps some EM do to tame it out and bring back the good old days ... I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

They stopped making that flavor just before I started vaping. I remember it was on Vapenstein's It's Alive Award list as one of his favorites.

Good morning shiners! At least the sun is out but windy as hell. Could be worse. Could be super freezing too.
A little less windy than yesterday. Yikes. 60+ mph winds. My pyramid arborvitae completely dusted the side of my house. Good thing it’s so flexible. I had to deadbolt my front door because even with the storm door shut and the hand set locked, it blew open twice. I lost some paint off the house, and my fence will need to be nailed back together in a couple places- it’s not broken, but loosened- but that’s not bad, considering.

Yeah those are the winds we're getting today. Already some light poles down around the city. No utlilty poles in most of the city so loss of power shouldn't be an issue. I've been through that living outside the city and have zero desire to relive those days. When we had hurricane Sandy here I was living out on LI. Essentially the entire electric grid was knocked out took two and a half weeks to get it back. Other risk around here will be tree limbs and all. They banned tractor trailers and whatnot from all the bridges because of the winds. The airports will be a mess as well.

Me, I'm comfy and cozy and have no errands I have to run today so I'll probably go on a Netflix binge. Everything was rewicked over the weekend so can't even occupy myself with that. Good thing it's the end of the month or it would be a buying frenzy day. Which is even better because right now there's nothing on the market that's new which I'm even tempted to buy. Seems like a lull in my days of temptation.

We get a couple windstorms a year - always one in late November. I don’t know why they’re so unsettling, but they are. It’s exhausting for some reason. The weather here is not great, and we have the cold, snow, ice, then the tornadoes... still, I don’t think I could bear hurricanes. Days and days of wind in end, I’d lose what’s left of my mind!

Hurricanes usually blow through fast, just a lot of damage in a short period of time (assuming it doesn't stall over you then you're screwed. The only lucky thing back then was an absolutely beautiful old tree in the back was showing signs of rot. Decided it had to come down which ended up a big 2 day job. Still had enough wood for 3-4 years out of it and that's after giving at least half away.

If it hadn't been taken down just 3 months before I have no doubt it would have come down and split the house in half. It was that big. Still had a lot of big limbs and some other trees down so the house was fine. I just ended up spending a lot of time deepening my relationship with my chain saws. But the house was undamaged and because it happened to be on one if the highest points on LI no flooding. A few miles away though and there were new lakes that didn't belong there.

Tgen there was my final winter living there and we got a record setting snowstorm blizzard (for around here) of 3 1/2 feet of snow. Needed a guy with a Bobcat to clear a way out. Too much for a plow to handle. That's when I realized being a city kid wasn't so bad after all.

Our worst blizzard was ‘78. No warning. I mean they called for snow, but that’s all winter every day, so nobody thought anything about it. 3 feet. I lived way out in the sticks. They eventually sent the National guard out to dig ya out, but they got stuck ( railroad tracks were too steep especially for their trucks in that snow) and we never even knew they were there, half a mile away, until a week or so later. There was literally no way out of town - nobody had a snowmobile - for over two weeks.

My fam in huricane zone is in the Tampa Bay Area, seems like their hurricanes last at least a couple days. Tornadoes are only seconds. Much more efficient, imo.

I thought it was just me. I keep looking at the “new in stock!!!!” emails, and nothing catches my fancy. Seems like a lull in ingenuity as they recover from CNY.

Has anyone ordered from China recently? I have two orders that seem to be suffering from noupdate-itis. One has been stuck at “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment“ for a week :(

Yeah mine have stalled as well. One of them made it to the states finally, not sure if that was today or late last week. USPS was all messed up Friday, so I couldn’t track anything coming that way, and too busy this weekend to worry about it.

My China orders are just bits and pieces for the stash for the most part. What’s frustrating is my ECX flavor order that’s been vacationing in Seattle for 5 days. Of course, it’s stuff I oops ran flat out of.

I do have the v3 double barrel coming in blue. I’m not counting that as shiny since it’s really just an upgrade to my 2.1s rationalization at its finest :D). Trying to decide on a tank color for it. I’m guessing it’s going to mess with my usual matchy matchy.

Let me know if anything there helps or if its just in my head.........
Thanks:) I'll give that a try. What I was trying was pretty close. The spaced coil gave me the hot spot at the end. I overwrapped and let it spin 1 wrap out I still ended up with the wrap on the end looser than the rest. I thought I pulled it tight enough but apparently not. I think it didn't have enough contact with the wick because It glowed out from the center without a wick in it. I tried more cotton but still got a hot spot. I have 50 feet of it so I can practice. I also have .5×.1 i bought for the Hastur. If the rta arrives today I will give that wire a try. Should be easier for learning.

Mhhhm I pulled the trigger on 1 of my 2 dream setups  Too cheap to pass.

How can you not love a top-airflow tank designed to take bottom-airflow baby-compatible coils?

I have been stuck in that zone with my FT orders. Even the one from LA warehouse. My tank is supposed to arrive today. Still no word on when the Pebble will get in from Compton. It's ridin with DHL for now.

Nice looking mod, never heard of it though. Top air sub ohm tanks? That’s new to me too. Let us know what you think.

Good day all,

Windy as hell here in Toronto as well, Zelda has yelled at me a few times to make it stop. She is hiding in one of her secret lairs – no idea which one. Lunch is at 2pm so I expect her to come out then

Still letting my DIY Strawberry Cream steep – had a sample late last night, not too bad. Will give it another week before I pass judgement.

Spent the past few days contemplating over what DIY juices I would like to try my hand at and the needed flavours. Going to try out a Dinner Lady Lemon Tart rendition, a Lemon Crumble Cake from DIY or Die and a Strawberry Shortcake and Mothers Unicorn Milk that were both highly rated on ELR. They were all chosen so I can try and capitalize on the flavours that I own, and the flavours I need. So have a bunch of flavours on the way. Also have a bottle of Five Pawns Castle Long in the mail…this $h!t is bloody expensive but I have never tried it. Has anyone tried any of the DIY renditions of this?
