I'm venting because I am upset..

Two days ago a girl at my husbands work hit my husband's car as he was pulling into the parking lot of his job. She said at the time she dropped something on the floorboard of her car and retrieved it, and by the time she looked at where she was going it was too late to stop so she hit my husband.

She hit an older Jeep Cherokee Sport in a newer car, so her car did this whole folding thing and our jeep had no appreciable damage.

The cops were called, and the officer who showed up said he had no jurisdiction over a private parking lot, and recommended they fill out exchange of information forms but pay for their own car repairs since the police didn't have jurisdiction to declare fault in a private parking lot.

My husband went on his merry way thinking the matter settled as they agreed with the cop to pay for their own repairs. (we have damage to a brake, but that seems like all the damage we've incurred and we didn't mind fixing it since the girl is an employee)

We got a call this afternoon from our insurance company, and this girl is trying to get our insurance to pay for her damages and apparently she is trying to tell them she has been physically injured too (even though when she was at work yesterday she had no such injuries) and trying to get money for that..

its like WTH????????????

Wow, just wow. I mean, she isn't looking at the road while her foot is on the gas peddle of a car, wrecks it, and is trying to get someone else to pay not just for her cars damages, but a pain and suffering bonus for being stupid enough to wreck.

this is the height of not taking responsibility for your actions, the height of all the greed that is wrong with people today and the reason why insurance premiums are so darn high..
Sorry to hear about that. It happens quite often and that's why all accidents should be reported promptly to your auto insurance company, regardless of whether the police get involved or not. Insurance companies have their own investigation teams and claims adjusters who ask the right questions to get at the bottom of the real cause. I hate to say it but most insurers will just cut a $10k check to avoid the costs of legal fees and court time if the other party should push the case forward. The first line of defense, though, is the claims adjuster.

Idk where you live but our state had a barrage of fraudulent accident cases several years ago. It consisted of con teams who staged minor accidents. It was a quick and easy $10k check. Until it got out of hand and then a family member who was part of the scam was killed in the accident. That slowed them down after that, lol. (Not to sound mean)

You have very pretty shovels. I need to go light a grill fire, drink a beer, and break a spark plug, or something equally manly.

I like the wasp. Do you mean, the mod circumference is bigger than the AF ring on the wasp? Because if so, you might like the Gear on that. The AF ring can go either narrow or wide side down, whatever looks better. I like my wide side down on the Colossal. Very similar performance to the wasp.

I didn't think to do that. Looks sweet!

As per wattage settings, I just got a mod with VV mode. Little did I know that when you change out the batts the voltage defaults to its highest setting. I had a build set for 2.5V and I took a pull on 9V! Very surprising, indeed, and don't you know I did that a few more times before learning my lesson.

Some have a power lock feature.

So, they finally figured out how to hand over a 2 ounce package to the front desk. FT was great, but USPS strikes as always.

So I have a FLVR and Reload X clones getting a jacuzzi treatment in the UC because well, they needed it, so no photos yet. The FLVR is a 22 mm single coil flavor rda which is difficult to get the original of and is made in Malaysia. SXK did their usual 1:1, down to a fake SN on the bottom. The only thing I don't like us there's no lip or ledge on the wire slot to hold the wire in while you tighten down the grub screws, but I'll deal with it. The Reload X is dual coil but the air is redirected from the top under the coil for bottom air in what looks like a very leak resistant design. I'll find out later. That and a coily from Hugsvape wraps up a fairly small order so no damage done. I'll grab some shots after cleaning and building, but they're just rdas.

@Fidola13 Slowing down a patient's care until I have to go see a different patient at which point they are almost instantaneously "done."

It's not that I'm so PO'd "for me" I have plenty of patients I can see. It is the fact that he would purposefully do that when like the parents have to go pick up their other kids from school.

To me, that is the epitome of obnoxious lying. So, he's gonna get to WAIT and spend the end of every day with me. We should BOTH be looking forward to it, I am quite sure. It will be interesting to see how long he will try to wait me out. but his options are limited there because eventually the clinic has to close.

He's super special.

And yea I am fine just you know, tired. The husband is asleep on the couch next to me. You'd think he'd go to bed but like, at the moment I am to the husband what the husband usually is to the dog. A source of deep worship and security.

I wish he'd remember the stuff he says when he is sick. He's a good patient in the sense that he praises you bountifully and then doesn't remember how great you were. and denies statements of greatness. It's a bit unrewarding.

I need to buy something but JESUS I forgot to approve my time card because I WAS ON PTO and they issued me a "live" check in punishment. This would be fine normally but there is no Bank of America in Douglas or Bisbee so I'm gonna have to drive to Sierra Vista like SOON because.... I refuse to open a bank account or even try this weekend. I think there's some BOA app that lets you scan checks. I should totally look into that.

I have so much to do that I need to make a to do list to EVEN remember. Truth: truly out on the edge of nowhere. Some stuff is going to rely heavily on Amazon. Etc.

Anna

I have an account with TD bank with a phone app that does that. I just click make a deposit, it prompts me through taking a front and back photo and done. It's really gotten to the point there's little need to ever go to a bank unless it's for an ATM for cash. But these days when you can pay for anything through your phone or even tapping your phone against the credit card scanner, you really don't have to carry any. Even the mass transit system in NY is changing over to all tap and go fares. Which is all super convenient, but is also just more loss of privacy as your every move can be tracked.
