Been busy window shopping the NZ online sites. Found a couple of options, if I ignore their size ;)

Would you pick a vandy vape pulse bf 80w or a Desire Rage Ohm boy?

And those who are Rage owners, what's the hand feel like? Love how short it is, and it looks like it would be comfy to hold, similar form factor to a Minikin 2

I have the Rage OhmBoy and love it. The buttons are on the short side and the bottle isn't on the opposite side of the buttons which takes some getting use to. It also comes with only one bottle, so if having a spare bottle is your thing then it must be ordered separately. Also, the Rage I have did not come with the firmware update, so you might have to do that as well if you purchase one,

I love mine, and wish I could purchase another one. However, this isn't a device I would recommend freely without exposing it's quirks.

Had one of those in my wishlist since AngeNZ showed up carrying on about it. Can't get past the plastic tank.

Why do vapers describe what they’re vaping as “rocking” such and such?

I keep visualizing 1960s dudes in leathers jackets and motorbikes with slicked back hair  !!

Yeah, me n mi bro been rockin some badass juice an it's smashin n killing it.....

The lingo's really funny especially when you consider that most of these badass vaper dudes smell like sweet caramel custard with chocalate oreos :lol:

1960s dudes might be appropriate. Ones that had hair in the 60’s anyway. The hair I had in the 60’s was blonde I believe. Then it turned brown and is on its way towards either gray or missing entirely.

Great link! Only problem is the big block 454 won’t go near those. It has a press fit copper center pin. There are a few ways I could see to do it.
A) One is tap out the pin through the top hole (might not work), drill a hole in the base next to the shaft and use a jewelers saw with the blade fit through the hole to cut a channel in the pin (would likely work), then RE-PRESS FIT the pin back into the center shaft (might possibly work if it doesn’t just fold in half or something ruining the whole thing) and hope there’s enough room around the 4(!) wires in the center hole to squonk juice.

B) drillpress a hole through the center of the copper pin to about 1/8th in. Of the top of the center pin while it is still in place, then cross drill juice holes. This should work better if it works but requires a drill press.

C) punch out the center pin and tap a thread into the interior of the center post (looked too thin but I could be wrong) and hope one of those fasttech pins is long enough to reach the resistance wires at the top. (Requires the right tap) also you get to hope there’s enough room around the wires.

All of them kinda suck but I think I got the best chances with B. It’s the most likely to work and should produce the best result.
I think I drilled it out. Again I may have replaced the centre post. Will look through my big book of conversions. Had to do a three post Kennedy in a similar way I think.
Some I've had to work a thread into other's I've used a small fine nut at the top of the bf to lock it together and used a donor clone for a centre post.
I've converted an awful lot (back when bf rda's where sparse).
The original snapdragon before they released a bf version was the most difficult due to the whole base being separated from the deck.
There's usually a way. Often the clones have different 510's too so you can often cannibalize those.

I had to check and I've listed I drilled it out and used a central post from a doner clone of the baal v4.
I've recorded most of the rda's I've converted if anyone's stuck. (Guitar tech by trade, so it's a habit now).

Jeez, I finally caught up! I did five miles at Magee Marsh between the boardwalk and the estuary, took about 650 pictures that I’ll be going through until next year’s Biggest Week.
Got some great catches including an oven bird (picture) and a Prothonotary warbler. I did not practice at all with the camera the last few months so I was feeling pretty skeptical but I did pretty well.

The weather was great, but that meant the birds were high, a lot of flying, and my neck is so sore lol. But I want to go back out.

Kept me from shopping for a whole day!

Looking good Charlie. :) They should keep you busy. Are you DIY juice mixing or just testing a whole bunch of e-liquid?

Mate don't mention the damn snapdragon it's a dirty word in my household. That thing was a massive waste of money. The stupid tolerances and the metal disk that went between the base and the deck drove me mad. The fact that the posts had a tendency to come out and given the slightest little knock of that disk meant the AFC wouldn't screw back together or line up properly.

Anyway hello everybody and I hope you're all doing great today. :)

Thanks @Vape Muppet I've been DIYing since about this time last year and would never go back to commercial except in an emergency :)

These RDA's are known for excellent flavour and to be honest my vaping style has changed somewhat over the last year and especially since I got my Billet Box and found I really like a restricted direct lung as opposed to a loose and airy one. It's old age :)

I totally understand that. I would DIY if I had the time and I wasn't addicted to my favourite juice vendors.

What exactly is different about the NarEA? I have the NarDa clone and it's great for flavour but the whistling airflow drives me crazy.

I think that the first two were pretty much identical but this one actually reinvented the wheel a bit so is more desirable imo....here's a review of the original by Todd's reviews..

I hope it doesn't whistle too much otherwise I might be driven crazy also :)

I think the Rage is one of the unique designs that some love, some hate. I really enjoy using mine and feel it fits well using both left or right hand and thumb or trigger firing. It is a heavy device, but as Boris the Blade says, “Heavy is good”, I do have fairly large hands but I could see someone with smaller hands fumbling with the device given it’s weight, shape and smooth finish. But my Rage is a stay at home device, I feel it is much too large and heavy to be carrying around in your pocket. Is that a Rage in your pocket or you happy to see me! Obviously this may not be an issue with those who sport the latest in fashionable fanny packs or purses.

The Pulse 80 is sooo much lighter than the Rage which gives it the upper hand for portability. But being a single cell, battery life can not compete, especially if you are a mid to high wattage user. Anything over 50 to 60 watts (60 is stretching it), I would look at dual cell devices.

The Rage uses a proprietary bottle but it is of excellent quality. I am still using the original clear bottle that came with mine with no issues of it retailing odor. The Vandy Vape bottle is of poor quality silicone – mine lasted only a few days before it started to smell. Good news is you can find alternative bottles for the Pulse. Regardless of which you choose, buy spare bottles – both devices have been out for a while now and I doubt either company is still producing. What you see is what’s left on the market.

Why no shopping? No cell service around where you were taking photos?
