The absolute worst thing to review is liquid.
I'm happy to advertise my own personal favourites all day long but juice is so subjective you always end up with a fifty fifty mix of those who agree and thank you for finding a great juice and those who tell you your a ..... as its vile (or vice versa).
Best to focus on if it's well made, has been tested for nasties and comes from a good clean room set up with.decent ingredients.

You use your couch as your vape corner?
hehehe yep, right next to my laptop.....no one sits in the corner of the sectional anyways :p eventually i'd like to get an actual space for stuff to be displayed on shelves and organized, even i'm killing my ocd with this but it's an organized mess :p and kept where I can keep an eye on it and my kids can't mess with anything

and I agree @Black wings as much as I can I piff things after I do reviews or put them up for a giveaway letting people know that they are used...I gave setups to almost all of my coworkers and bottles of juice(s) for them to get started

This has been a really cold, wet spring. Like last year. It’s more like March than May. I’d normally have the flowers and veg all in now, haven’t even started.
I have tomatoes almost ready to pick, and my blackberries are turning. But, before you get jealous, you’ll have maters all summer... ours get pulled up the beginning of July because it gets too hot at night for the blooms to set. I usually leave in the cherry tomatoes, as they’ll still produce some, and put in okra and eggplants (about all that is successful in the heat of summer).

On FB Demi made reference to a waterproof Innokin Platform mod coming soon. Has anyone heard anything about it?

So anyone got new boots? ;)

    Is that back on topic?
Only if they are shiny.

No. No money paid here and although I have no issue with those who keep the item in payment, I personally make sure mine go to giveaways, charity raffles or are handed on to new vapers or vapers in need. I was able to completely kit out a forum member who was burgled last year which was something.
I keep a log of where every item goes onto as well.
I like to keep the reviews "clean" as far as influence goes.
I find it impossible to trust the YouTube reviews when I know the review has been paid for between $200-$1000.
They're fine for checking specs but I feel integrity may be lost (I know it's not always the case, djlsb Daniel is very honest).
I also do try to find as many positives as I can. After all, it's better than smoking but sometimes you just get a bad un.
I'm reviewing the rincoe mechman currently and it has some nice elements but it's going to get a negative review overall due to the wattage (228w) being incredibly overrated. (My guess is it tops out at 180w) and the tc curve which can't be adjusted has a huge power pre hit which will destroy mtl coils.
Hopefully they will take it on the chin and update the firmware.

IRL, I only knew one reviewer in the early days. He sold the items after he reviewed them.

I actually like the looks of that Rincoe, specifically the wolf one. I vape low wattage (15-20 watts) in wattage mode..

Does it vape nice for someone like me? How would it compare to something like the Cartel or a Tesla.. ?

Hopefully they can fix that with firmware.

If you want some real entertainment, take the iJoy Captain PD270 and check it out in TC.
Wire type is not important, set it to 5W & 300F screw on any atty and hit the fire button. The Captain will fire at full power instead of dropping out with a TCR error or switching into to a 20W VW safety mode etc...

iJoy was given a proper list of all the problems that we found with this unit, but they ignored everything except the misreading of coil resistance. Since that was the only one the reviewers would quickly catch.

It's actually really easy to live with. The fire button is like the aegis.
It's very old school. The board seems like an old one which to my mind isn't a bad thing as the menu is idiot proof.
Also the design is such that it will only look better after a few scrapes.
    The screen is not bright.
It's also a little sculpted at the bottom so could be more stable.
At low wattage it's fine. Perhaps you'd need to run a watt or so more than usual and I wouldn't touch tc in mtl mode. It's accurate but the power spike is big.
Also I can't recommend charging cells in the mod purely because it's a new brand with zero feedback.
But it does the job just fine.

Tracking number came in for the FT order, time to start checking for updates every 1/2 hour. :w00t:

I always set mine to automatically text me when there's a change. Still doesn't stop me from checking the tracking all the time.

Surprise cheap shiny came this morning! Not for me to keep, I think they’ll be a nice starter kit for a couple friends. (Ok, maybe I’ll keep one. They’re pretty cute and tiny.) But, it’s still fun to get a package!

QUOTE="Zazie, post: 21778061, member: 338763"]Is there such a thing as a mod with a potentiometer for the vision/dexterity impaired? I would still like to get a simple screenless mod with a potentiometer, but the dial on the one I bought a while back (which has since been adopted into a good home) was a trial to adjust, especially since there was such a narrow range that would produce the equivalent of the low watts at which I vape. I want something bigger. Does this exist?[/QUOTE]

The only one I have with a pot and on-off switch in my old mod collection is a OGVVG (mech OG Variable Voltage Reo Grand Squonk mod c. 1/2012) that uses two 18350 batts in series for up to 7-8VDC to drive a BF RDA. I bought this one from the original owner in mint condition in mid 2014, but still sent it in to the Reomeister to check out and refurbish if needed. It was bought more for my earliest Reo mod collection dating back to 2010, but I did vape it some. The catch cup size limits the atty's they can run (MTL unless they can be drilled out for restricted DTL, or carto's). Mine runs a long discontinued IGO-S. They make for a rare combo that by now would be near impossible to find available anywhere except from folks who might still have any. Robert also made some VV Woodvil's as well.

Old pictures that are not so clear but give an idea of these two versions. On the OGVVG the pot in right below the top right door magnet, and down below it at the bottom of the block is the on-off switch.

    Good morning Shiny's
Whopping 48° here. I'm ready for summer.

Mid 90's here this morning, has been almost touching 100 lately... so not really looking forward to upwards of 120's in the shade this summer and up to three month of 100 lows at night.

"But it's a dry heat" is bull. Last week the early monsoons filled the deep lake bed in front of my place in short order... so it is not dry heat here sometimes. ;)

I thought reviewers got paid for them. How else does anyone have time to do all that, don't they have jobs unless reviewing etc is their job?

It's paid only if you are a prime social media influencer, they can command insanely high fees and tend to "like" everything" imho. I'm not one of those so I don't get paid! I've never been asked to change a review or an Insta comment, I'd refuse if it wasn't my error. I'm semi-retired, so it's a bit of fun.

I also beta test specialist electronics, sometimes paid, that requires time and experience so cannot be regarded as "free stuff" as it needs that investment of time, including wrecking the rejected builds and taking them to the recycling centre

FT has been really fast of late. You might want to increase that to every 15 minutes.

The Lost Vape Paranormal caught my eye this weekend at a local shop. Sweet looking mod. That $200 price tag hurts though.

The Paranormal is quite nice. I assume that's a 250C board and not an older version. Best advice if you like it is buy it for $130 online. Use the remaining $70 on other vape stuff. Still $200 (or more) in the end but you have more playthings. Can't have too many playthings.

It makes more sense if you think of the shinyitis thread folks like nursery school toddlers with credit cards.

Confession time.... I opened one of the boxes. I know, I know....but, shiny! And I had to see if it was worthy of being passed on to a newish vaper. (Sounded like a reasonable excuse ). I’m keeping the Onis, and will pick something else out of the stash to pass forward. They’re tiny, hits pretty much like the minikin or colossal. Two for around $35? Winner. Perfect stealth mod.
