Ok so I’ve been playing w Steam Engine - if I use kanthal (I must have some somewhere in my stash oh wait the coil master kit came with some.

Anyhow- 26g kanthal with 3mm id single coil with 8 wraps should get me to 1.2 ohms.

God only knows what kind of vape that be though lol!!

Does anyone around here vape at around those ohms? If so is the vape cool or warm? Thanks.

I love buying “expensive” things with no idea what they do to how they do it lol! Oh well.
Honestly, on my 2.5s, I use either a zenith with the 1.6 coil, or a tank that takes the nautilus coils. Lazy, yesssss, but it beats cramming a long coil in. Without a beauty collar, I think you’re stuck with a 22mm to avoid overhang to boot. Probably why the P3 gets more use... it’ll take 0.5.

I don't think you can vape higher than the equivalent of 18W with the Provari.
6v, tops out at 15w, I think. There are a bunch of closed threads on it on ECF to search for info. This one is still active, you’ll get your questions answered, but it’s frequently off topic. Lots of long time, current Provari users...ProVarinati Diner & Saloon and Beyond

I vape 1 - 1.2 ohm coils most the time, it's my preference.

I also own several Provari's.. awesome mod.

It depends on how you build the coil just how warm or cool that ohm is, but usually it's going to be a little cooler a vape..

26 gauge Kanthal is cooler than 28 or 30, SS is warmer than Kanthal.. etc.

I have a Provari I bought as an emergency replacement for a dead mod; it never grew on me really, and I was vaping in those ranges at the time. Mostly I found that it just didn't work well with how I handle mods; I carry them in my back pocket or toss them in a back pack or rack pack, and its but-ton would be pressed and well. So it is in its box in a drawer. I am not sure what version it is, but it looks like the one in the video, only silver instead of black.

You need a Procyon that tops out at 50 watts, I think... It's also heavier and more club like and takes flat tops. Also rare as hens teeth

I'm sorry @Fidola13 . I don't know what it is about ebay and provaris and like, impulse buys. I will say, I have 3 procyons but I won't part with them. I feel bad for you though, I have a beater P3 (black stealth) the rest of the smaller PVs I am not parting with just because you never know.

I will send you that one for free. Also takes flat tops. Just because I feel bad. I don't require the purple 2.5 I have enough 2.5 for the vapocalypse I think.

It's not a subohm mod and it is far from pretty but I kind of like the look. Just say the word, you can have bigger tanks and higher resistance. Etc.

Thanks Anna that’s very thoughtful. I think I’ll probably keep this one. Well at least I’ll check it out. I figure worse case scenario is I could just sell it again.

I’ll check around for a Procyon at some point too.

Ever since I signed up for PayPal it’s been downhill! The effort of getting off my couch to find my credit card saved me LOTS of money lol! (That didn’t come out right but you know what I’m trying to say)

Thanks again ;)

I’ve got plenty of 22mm atties for it but I think the only MTL atty I have is a Amitt that I haven’t used yet. Maybe I could do something with that.

Oh well. You know 99% of the time I research everything ad nauseum but not today. Oh well you live and you learn. I’m just glad that it probably won’t lose it’s value.

My coils come out around 1.3 ohms. 28 kanthal, 3 mm, 6 wraps. I use 3.8 or 4 V on a Provari, 10W on a reg mod. The Provari starts flashing when the battery gets down to 3.5 or 3.6. I assume it would run the battery a bit lower if the coil was higher resistance.

It's the way I like it. I don't know where it falls on the cool / warm scale.

Thanks that’s very helpful!!

It looks unwieldy for my trembling hands lol! I like the full size original coily because there’s more to hold on to. But Mikes really is perfect for ease of use.
So you like something substantial to hold onto when your hands are shaking...
Well I um.....
You could.....

Um
I'm going to bed, g'nite all
