I absolutely admire her so much - she is 93 and still able to be the Queen

Hey all, hope everyone's having a shiny Friday. Got a load of juice in today. Some new stuff to try and some old favorites.

And some legendary ones, too. This stuff has graduated to my "always try to have at least one extra on hand" tier. So good.
Oh yeah, I'm not finding a new mech to fall in love with this week so I'm thinking of finally giving in and buying a Topside Dual. Not the fancy one but maybe black with red splatter or just black. Whatcha think Y/N?

Yeah i'm one of thoseSouth African? How long ago did you move to NZ?
I woke up to the bed shaking. I looked it up and it was a 7.1 just north of Barstow. I think the same place as the others.Friday, 8:21 PM PST Las Vegas. Was sitting at my computer desk when the office chair started doing the Watusi with me, rocking back and forth sideways. We had got hit by a far stronger earthquake/aftershock here in Las Vegas than that previous one that was 130 miles away in California, and it lasted much longer. Nothing on line about it yet, but it was either much closer or far stronger at the epicenter than the last one. If it was in that same area of CA, it was far larger than the 6.4/6.6 quake. I seriously doubt there was any damage done here by it in Sin City.
Folks that live in the SW are used to quakes much like folks that live in the tornado and hurricane alleys. The quakes happen often here but are so mild most of the time that they are often not felt at all. I've lived on the Mojave for 27 years, and this is the strongest one I've felt in that time. Maybe just because I was in the right place at the right time... sitting quiet rather than out and about.
So it is on line now I see:
Estimated 6.9-magnitude earthquake hits California
The official communication that was sent out to all children in New Zealand when she visited in 1962 is among my most prized mementos. I was very dazzled by her at the time (I was five) and coveted her tiara.
I absolutely admire her so much - she is 93 and still able to be the Queenbut that was funny

FEV stands for Flash-e-Vapour...not sure about GSVNoob question here: what do GSV and FeV stand for?
It's my understanding that the magnitude of the quake isn't as important as the depth...so a 7.5 eathquake that is deep will not do much damage but a 4.5 (for example) earthquake that is near the surface can knock down buildingsFriday, 8:21 PM PST Las Vegas.
