Have you tried twisting it into a different position....I suspect there is a specific notch type position that you have to be in....hope that helps..:)

Only other thing I can think of is to take the cap off again and remove the bottom o-ring/s and then see if it'll go on. If it does try changing out the o-ring for another one that isn't so chunky :)

Good morning Shiny's!!!

Great day here. Dog and I went for a super long walk this morning (almost 3 miles). Then washed the car before the super hot of the day strikes later. Now it's time to chill! Well not really as I do have a mound of dishes to do haha.

I hope you all having an awesome day!!!

It’s up and working all the way. First impression, battery cap threads are surprisingly smooth, but the cap is tiny and thin, hard to put back in.

The bottle cap on the mod I had to use pliers to pull off the first time, seems okay after that.

Bottle is nice and squishy, not too squishy though. Bottle cap has texture to make it easier to unscrew.

Weighs about as much as 3 marshmallows, fire button is is firm and solid even if it looks chintzy, like one of those tin clicker toys us old folk might recall.

Very nice shape and size, and has a texture that makes it just grippy enough. But it’s that kind of plastic with texture that is going to get grubby - mine came with a teeny grime mark or two. Can’t complain for the price. Vapes just as it should.

Haven’t exploded myself yet.

Conclusion, pretty fabulous for what it is.

I remember the tin clicker toys and had a few. Your Gloom looks awesome and thorough review too, thanks. Between Charlie, Ange and now you (I am forgetting some, sorry don't mean to) I decided to buy one today. 3 marshmallows huh, cool, which brand? ;)

For the ones too young to have had such cool toys... hahaha.

And my other 2 Luna's are on the way too....up to 8 squonkers now....oops :D

And I hear you, 8 squonkers and counting for me, too!

I am catching up to you guys. I have 4 Luna's now with 2 on the way. Also 3 mech squonkers coming from FT and I am ordering a Gloom today. You all warned me this too was a rabbit hole... and I am happily digging deeper. Awesome!!!

Earlier I decided this is the perfect day for crankin' some Tom Waits - "Mule Variations" and "Glitter and Doom Live". In concert he is great and so funny with his off the cuff humor. He is one of those love or hate kind of musicians for many. Frankly speaking, I love Frank Zappa so T. Waits falls right in there for me.

You have to not alone the AF holes to get it flush, then turn. It’s hard to see, but there are little nubs on the cap that fit into little channels on the base.

goodbye
Well, heck. Since everyone here is posting pictures of their dogs, cats, sheep, and turtles.....I am proud to present Benjamin(Ben for short). He is the family teddy bear. 3 years old and I have a special relationship with him. We have a total communication understanding between each other. Whether I say something, or use a simple hand gesture, he knows exactly what I am saying. On the other hand, I have his expression, posture, activity, all down pat. We have a communication ability no one else in the house has. Only problem with it is, along with great understanding, comes great responsibility. I can't move more than two steps without him being right behind me.

Mr. Benjamin

The authentic Gloom had an issue at one point of autofiring if juice got in under the button.

I wonder if they have fixed that problem on the clones, and will they autofire if you put the battery in backwards?
Reports on FT say it will autofire with a reversed battery.

I've never tried to put the battery in backwards so no idea :)

Yes I read about the auto fire issue.....wasn't that a mosfet sealant (or lack of) problem?

Yes lack of, so I wondered about the clones. Safer to unscrew the RDA or remove the battery overnight on those.

Yep agreed...standard practice for me with any mechanical to remove the battery.....Hope you're doing well over there....has the snow melted yet :D:p:pervy:
