yes owned by Aldo or the other way around. Traders specialties include its "private-label products which contain no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives, no colors derived from anything other than naturally available products, no genetically modified ingredients, no partially hydrogenated oils (adding trans fat), and no MSG. In addition, its private label dairy products use milk from cows not given the artificial growth hormone" (copied from Wikipedia.)No such store around here. Isn’t Trader Joe’s owned by the same company as Aldi? There is one of those but it’s so skanky I won’t shop there. I have a choice between Walmart (closest) and Meijer ( in the hood, no thanks) and a very small local shop.
Personally I don’t care about GMOs or organic - I don’t really believe what the labels say. Actually will not eat ‘organic’ meat as I feel that not treating them for preventable diseases or illnesses they catch is cruel. So I buy local, family raised meat. These animals do not have to be pumped full of antibiotics to remain alive.
There’s not much to like about this area, but food from small farms is definitely a plus.
The cleaning products are earth friendly. You cannot even get artificial sweetener in there. I do not find Aldi to be anything like Traders
