I sincerely believe my dad's dog is the only reason he is alive today. When mom died, little Amber was his lifeline. And to this day the pup remains his main reason for living (in his own words). I totally get it, personally. When my dog died a year ago it was totally heartbreaking. Have a new one now and I'm even closer to this one. Boomer was a mama's boy, so even though we were close, it hit her harder than it hit me. But this lil' guy is a daddy's boy. I leave on Monday for 2 weeks and Chrissy's already terrified because we know he's going to go nuts with daddy gone :D the last time I went away, he destroyed half the house.

When I went through my little "I can't move" period I ended up with close to 6 months of inpatient PT. After so long that's how I ended up where I am, which was great because they have PT right on site as well. All the effort was worth it for the end result, even if it sucked doing it. Never underestimate the benefits of good PT. Especially for something like hip surgery. Even if the surgery went perfectly, poor PT will limit all the hard work done in fixing the fracture. I always viewed it as the harder I work today the easier it will be tomorrow.

I start in home pt on Monday 3 days a week for 2 weeks then twice a week for up to 8 weeks.

I’m just feeling discouraged at the recovery time. I don’t like to put people out and unfortunately this really makes my sister and roommate upend their lives because I really can’t do anything for myself. I’m totally dependent on help. Thank god this happened after Levi’s illness/passing.

It feels like a long time but it’ll pass. And the good news you’ll be in good shape at the end.
I have no doubt everyone will understand this is just a short time, out of your control, and there bit of extra work will be ok with them.

I’m so so sorry to hear about your girlfriend. That’s incredibly heartbreaking. Our pups can be a lifeline to us during tragedies or very difficult times in our lives.

Thanks I got my mom still and my family I’m thankful for that. I came close to losing every myself before I met my girlfriend.I’m thankful we didn’t have kids like she wanted so bad. We lived together and she was my first real girlfriend that I thought really loved me, she always wanted kids and would ask me when I wanted to have kids. Usually that would scare me but it didn’t wth her because I knew she lost a 1 month old baby in a past relationship. I ignored some warning signs but It wasn’t until after she died when her sponsor from AA told me she actually was the cause of that baby’s death due to her drinking.

It amazes me she still thought drinking was a good idea after losing so much from it . But I can see why she killed her self. I thought it was because of me breaking up with her the couple hours prior to her dying. But it’s just such a shame because we could have had life if she could stay sober longer than a month.

I can see that being really hard I can’t imagine I would just have my mom and my dog to look after me. My sister. Had a new baby recently and has a two year old. If I ever hurt myself I’d be screwed. Makes me thankful to be in working order and independent. I’m sure your family cares for you if they are looking after you and I’m sure you’d do the same for them

Being dependent on my parents while i recovered from my broken ankle was hard, as I'm also extremely independent. But that dependency stage passed quickly and it will for you too.

Just keep your mind occupied - Netflix, ECF, crossword puzzles, sudoku, reading - anything. Even try something completely different - I always read psychological thriller murder novels - but when I couldn't focus on them, I read the Janet Evanovich series and laughed my head off ;)

haha yeah, it's funny how they bond to us in different ways isn't it? Like he goes totally nuts when I'm not around, but when she left for a month recently he didn't even seem to care. But he won't sleep on the bed with me, ever. He sleeps with her every chance he gets. And Boomer (our last dog) went berserk with his mom around, he'd run in circles and act up like a kid at recess. With me he'd go totally limp, like I could pick him up and cuddle him in my arms and he'd just lick my face (80lb dog by the way LOL). It's like he was a different dog with each of us. So funny :)

Good afternoon! Hope everyone is having a good day!

p.s. I'm happy you jumped into the flavoring thread @Letitia. I was hoping you'd respond there! :)
Do love my fruits! I can taste the marshmallow no matter how low I take it so usually don't remember to mention it. I know I am definitely in the minority there.

I can taste it but I really like the taste and what it adds..

we are all different. Your the one got me to using Dragonfruit occasionally in some mixes, I like what that can add too but forgot to mention it, decided editing the heck out of my post for 30 minutes was silly so I didn't go back in.. haha

But you've been mixing far far longer than me, and experiment with it far more.. I have my few basic recipes that I like and stick with them because I can vape the same thing constantly and be fine..

I vaped cinnamon roll for years.. lol.. like literally. Not many people can do that..

I'm only now branching out to more flavors and more things, and just beginning to experiment..

I have maybe 3-5 recipes marked as keepers. I like to change up the percentages and brands quite a bit while keeping to the original profile. This is one of the reasons I'm just now thinking about digging into some one shots and stones. There are a few base pairings I find myself using more often nowadays.

Took the time to rewick and polish my brass mod this morning. Bought some zen pipe cleaners meant for marijuana smokers to get the oxidation out of the little air holes at the top of the mod. Works like a charm

That’s my 40 pound boy right there watching me closely as I clean my vape. He loves the weekend he doesn’t let me out of his sight for long. Can’t see much right now but he won’t let anyone clip his eyes haha He was supposed to be a 10 pound purse dog when my sister got him but he grew to be a 50 pound dog( that was a little overweight) who loves hiking swimming and is a tough little bugger with huge teeth. He wasn’t meant to go in a purse . I used to take him out then he became my dog and now he’s a daddy’s boy for life.

I don't really do dogs, so if the husband offed it (so far so good) I'd have to do foster kids, and they can be incredibly annoying. But, they are little humans which is what I like.

And, they pay you some for the annoyance, so at least there is that.

On another note I am DONE with Asmodus as a mod company. My stabwood gave up the ghost again, in a similarish fashion.

It's mot me, I did not leak on it drop it or do horrible things to it. It has done HORRIBLE things to me. It's frozen on "Update ready" and I even got out the manual to see what it meant. I might TRY to update it but that doesn't change the fact the screen is frozen. I put it aside for the moment and like, maybe later.

I mean ONE of mine ARRIVED dead and that's not me, that's the mod company. I'm gonna buy my charging plate for my dicodes and like my second 2`700 mod. I don't stress over those mods. Gr,

I guess we can add "Asmodus" to the mods Allergic to Anna although to be fair, it's really only the dang stabwod one. I must admit the engraved one is one of my FAVORITES it vapes great and easy. And the Minikin 3 actually, it's rather lovely of a vape.

IDK I am still done with then though until I can pick up a Minikin 3 on clearance for ten bucks which is not far off IMHO. My minikin 2s are lovely. BUT.

It was the hardest thing in the world for me, after my stroke, to be dependant. I had to call my daughter daily for stupid stuff like I cannot get my medication straight, and I need to take out the trash. I was able to walk but my left arm was compromised. She wanted me to stay at her house but no way. I have my two cats, a dog and then foster Clementine. I could not leave them. She would have came over and feed them but it would have been a hassle and I cannot bear to be somebody's hassle. I was able to microwave a meal or make a sandwich and then I just stayed in my recliner or chair and did my exercises. PT and home health came twice a week and we did walking exercises. It has been almost two months now and I am 99% myself (save for left hand)
