Thanks Delores....always feel much better after a hug
I'm learning a lot about US weather in the forum and it's much more extreme than I expected. Over here we tend to know about the Boston fall into snow and then a slow spring into a guaranteed hot summer.... or California type Mediterranean sunshine stuff. Lately it just seems really odd extremes? Maybe you have global warming too :D

I’ve always lived up north, and the weather has always been extreme. I don’t remember having so many days in the high 90s and 100s as these last couple years, we did have the occasional drought, but now it seems every summer gets hot enough to break records.

I’ve lived in Ohio for almost 50 years now, and our ‘grow zone’ has changed - warmer. But the cold still breaks records, although the amount of snowfall seems to be decreasing. And that part is fine by me.

It’s typical to swing 30 degrees on any given day. And to swing 110 degrees within a year. Sometimes more.

Well good to hear it's normal and not weird. I certainly don't like plummeting temperatures though, especially if abhor summer has made you soft. But hey everything's relative. The 10 years I've lived in the Mediterranean climate has meant that after the blazing heat of summer a very modest, warmish even winter temperature now feels colder and I'm certainly less tolerant of the cold.... Old man stuff too but I don't plan on leaving the med anytime soon :):D

Also, it feels colder by the water though, and you’re probably feeling that. I’m close enough to the lake it affects the weather patterns, but not close enough to have the dampness. Good thing too, or it would be even more awful lol. I’m not quite elderly, but old enough my bones tell me when it’s gonna rain.

My daughter and I ran across this little sweetie and her daughter playing in traffic in front of a beaten down house on a highway. We stopped to tell the peeps their dogs were in the street. The lady was losing her home, her boyfriend would not let the dogs stay inside and she had no way to contain them. We gave our phone number in case she needed help rehoming. She called the next day, one had been run over and she wanted to give up the other. We picked her up. Of course she was covered in fleas, so I took her for a groom. I put an expensive flea collar on her and made an appointment for spay (she is also in heat), vaccines, de-worm and heartworm test. She went today and the bad news is she is heartworm positive. Treatment for heartworms is $900-1,500.

Clementine watched bird TV one more time yesterday and then I had to transfer to her new home. She is going to live with the guy in the trailer park thata feeding her when she was feral. He loves her and her him so it is the best I can do for her. The big movers came yesterday so I am halfway in my house. I have all utilities on, fence has been put in. Handyman is changing the dryer over to gas. NO CABLE OR INTERNET. YIKES. Next week sometime. I am sleeping at my daughters because I am so far from unpacked and comfy and no cable, I mean that says it all.

That's not too bad. We dropped from 90 to 50 now. But we have winds of 30-40 mph. Highest wind gust last night on Long Island was 83 mph, right around where I used to live. Can't imagine how many tree limbs are down out there. I'm so glad I'm out out with a chainsaw dealing with it.

Although urban life is not without it's risks. Yesterday some workers went to open a manhole for service. Super bad odor. Short version turns out a drunk guy fell through the manhole when work was being done before. and Verizon came back from dinner break and replaced the manhole cover.

One month ago. No one is saying after finding his partially eaten body whether he was alive after the fall, or how long he stayed alive down there.

The ultimate urban nightmare. Well, anyone's nightmare.

That's my early true Halloween story for the group.

That don’t scare me Eskie my life’s been one horror story after another. Gotta try harder than that to shock me.

I’ve been having fun with my new chainsaw too. I got a nice stihl gas powered one and filled my truck up s few times with branches. I have used one at my job for years and they are good saws. I got one a little smaller but great for my needs.

I just discovered fasttech last night. Haha, bit late to the party I know. Ordered an entheon and a Kennedy clone. The only rda I’ve tried is the 30mm Asgard so thought I should try some of the smaller sizes. I always thought that shipping would be the killer from China, but they have free shipping. Happy daze.

both of those RDAs are two of me favorites especially the Entheon. Hope you like them.

Good afternoon shinies

Feeling a bit better. The antibiotics are working and I'll find out tomorrow if I'm still anaemic. I'm definitely stuck here for a few more days though :(

A bit worried about my reviews too but obviously if it upsets them then so be it :D I must write and explain a bit :)

Not sure if any shinies have arrived. I've got some great stuff coming from Albert.... He's the man :D

My Provari stuff is on the way and oh my god.... Did I mention my friendly flipper gear :D

good to hear that you’re starting to feel better Charlie.

How about you? Therapy going well?

not so great. Had PT this morning to start working on the 3 outside stairs. It was a definite No Go. I was too shaky and anxious of falling again with the crutches. My ms doesn’t help because my muscles are already weak.

So I was pretty discouraged. But we’ll give it another go on Saturday or I’ll rent a ramp lol!!

thanks for asking!!
