I had a friend years ago who worked in a small private zoo. He used to bring lion cubs home with him. They did that to get them used to being around humans. Just up to a certain size, around 20 lbs I think, after that they were too unpredictable to take out.

I was round there once when he had a male cub at his house. We were in the back yard which had a chain link fence around it with neighbor dogs on the other side. The dogs were a bit confused at first but then they started doing that dog thing where they run up and down the fence together barking and snarling at each other. The lion got the hang of the game right away.

And, my only current vape purchase just cleared customs in Chicago after an unusually long trip across the Pacific. Some spare Solo battery doors. After that I'm not sure what I'll do. I am planning to make a large flavoring order soon. Takes me a long time to get through flavoring, but I don't want to risk my favorites going away. Might try keeping them in the fridge. Maybe I can take over one of the vegetable drawers at the bottom.

I have zero use for angry or untrained dogs, lead is the solution to that problem.
Most dogs can be trained, but some are just wonky in the head. I tried to adopt a dog who they told me was a Doberman mix. He was about 2.5 months old and just neutered. He was the most stubborn thing I ever met, but he was cute and young and I’m pretty experienced with dogs. I thought I could work with him. Then he became more and more aggressive.

I exercised him a few times a day and distracted the unwanted behavior, which was the appropriate action given his age.

But he just got worse until, at about 4 months 40ish lbs, he grabbed my arm and took me down, flat on my back, like you’d see when they train police dogs. Fortunately we were outside so I landed on the lawn, and I was wearing a winter coat - he destroyed the sleeve, but all I got was bruises.

He would not let go until I punched him as hard as I could in the jaw. Thought I broke my hand. Rang his bell though, I’ll tell you.

I was always afraid if I had to defend myself, I’d be afraid to punch someone in the face because I knew it would hurt. But now I know. Yes, it does. But it hurts them more.

Anyway, I called the shelter to ask about this dog. Turns out he was half Black and Tan - that’s where the stubbornness came from I guess.

I signed him up for obedience, but before we could start, he grabbed Rudy... he was gone that same day.

I figured I could take a little abuse, and it was my responsibility to put up with him until I could get him under control. But I could not risk him hurting Rudy.

The guy who took him was an Air Force vet with a farm. I hope they did okay, I haven’t heard from him.

Good late afternoon shinies :)

Well thank goodness for that I'm now back at home after a week with a box of pills and potions for the residual stuff. My home nurse has to come daily for a week and then next Monday I start my third chemo.... Thank goodness I've got this weeks break :)

Anyway, fingers crossed I'll feel strong enough to deal with the stuff I need to catch up with.
Happy shiny days everyone

If you like the drawn that will give you can't beat the flash-e-vapour. Dial it in how you like and the flavour reflects the fact that the OG's are still being made :)
From what I've that has a tight draw and a true mtl. Can't get on with those myself. It's why I didn't buy the xp4.

Dobermans can be tricky even when well trained. I had a friend with two and he did work on training. Over visiting one day on a walk with his two dobermans and at the time my Pomeranian. All was fine until one of the Dobermans went for my little dog. I literally tackled it right on top of his back. Fortunately I could press his head down from behind so he was stuck under me with no way to flip and bite. And this was a dog I had been around before many times (without my dog) and was always well behaved and friendly.

Any dog can be aggressive given the right circumstances. But some are more of a handful if they get aggressive due to size, strength, and jaw pressure.

I think I found my Ghoul for under $10 at a clearance sale somewhere. It’s a decent rda but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I couldn’t get one.

hopefully the temporary ban will be temporarily banned.
Ya wanna sell it to me:D?

Looks like you're effected by the ban too unless you live in Boston, AL, GA, IN, KY et al.

No you can loosen it right up but you are correct it's a true MTL draw. I like my restricted DL and the occasional true MTL.... Yes maybe you're right and it's not for you..... Maybe someone can chime in and confirm ??

Anyone seen vape Muppet ? She's in love so maybe that's why.... I'm going to have to PM soon... Good friend :)

And it could be the difference between aggression and prey drive. A lot of big dogs are not aggressive but they do have a strong predatory drive, which can mean they’re not good with smaller dogs.

We raised elkhounds when I was a kid. Not huge dogs, but they had really strong prey drive. They’re pack hunters though, and as such much easier to train than solitary breeds like Doberman. They’re bred to work as a team and take orders.

    Morning shinies ;)

@Daniel Forsyth get coiling and wicking, I wanna know what you think of the Riviera :thumb:

Dog fights are horrific. I'm glad to hear they're prosecuting it, those people do belong in jail.

So yesterday I went on the suicide prevention walk with my daughter and her boyfriend. Unfortunately it started raining about halfway through. We took a break and went to lunch/brunch for my birthday (sorta weird that walk each year occurs right around my birthday, I wonder if there's a message in that). Had a very nice time in all, but between the traveling to and from the walk, the weather, and the walk itself, my neck to arm to back pain was seriously bad. And I'm not a complainer,so this was way up on the pain scale, so I treated myself to a max safe dose of pain meds. Haven't had it that bad in quite a while. Still pretty uncomfortable today, but it's tolerable.

In the meantime I have to change 3 squonks over to new flavors after running out of the old ones. That means cleaning 3 bottles, which I find unpleasant as I like a very clean bottle for fresh juice. They're all getting drunk on pure alcohol right now, and I'm not sure they'll be able to walk straight until at least tomorrow. But they're definitely not feeling any pain.

Happy birthday for yesterday, and I hope the pain eases  Now be as rebel and clean out your squonk 510 tubes in the kitchen, instead of the shower ;)

On photos in the non-pet catagory, my daughter posted this one on her Instagram thing (whatever they're called, I just use Instagram to follow her and a few other people) from when she was younger
