Yeah its best to use Steam Engine to calculate for resistance/wraps etc before ordering flat wires.
Yeah, well it was steam engine that led me to believe 6/5 wraps of this wire would put me over 0.5 ohm, leaving me room to work with for higher ohms if I wanted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I may ask, how does it compare the the Colossus? I'm trying to decide whether I want a Tribaut or the Amighty (I think I want something that takes 21700 and 20700 batteries).
More minikin shaped. Triangular... nice hand feel though. I’ll test it out tomorrow. Life got in the way today ;)

I see what you mean. Weird. It’s been accurate for me, but I haven’t tried anything other than ss316 with it.

We have nearly pure white skunk in the neighborhood, truly beautiful creature.
Here's a full size with better quality.

That's a bummer. I'll concentrate on that when next I do a flat coil. Wonder where the problem lies...?
You think Steam Engine may not be that accurate with flat as it is with round wires...two sizes of flat compared to one with round?

It's always worked out close enough for me using round wire too --- could be my ribbon wire isn't what it says it is.

We are currently having the same struggle, but in opposite ;)

I'm trying to find the right diameter in kanthal flat wire that is thin enough to ramp instantly - yet is thick enough to coil easily AND is not so high in resistance that I can have 4 or 5 wraps @ 0.5ish ohms - it is the unicorn wire :D

The flat wire @Fredman1 sent from crazy wire UK @ 0.68mm * 0.27mm is pretty damn close. Resistance is perfect, but I'm a chain vaper, and it does hold its heat. In TC mode, on the squeeze 2, using 316l 4 or 5 wraps is PERFECT, especially in a NarCa ;)

I've got kanthal 0.8mm*0.2mm and 0.14mm*1mm coming from FT, I'll let you know how they go compared to steam engine :thumb:

Only $500 copay for the implant tooth, bite guard will have to wait till January.

I want your dental insurance. No $500 implants for me. I need one and it’s a choice of one, buying out Florida Vapor with these high end sales they’re having, two, a trip somewhere warm with someone warm who is willing to come with me, or three, an implant. Number two is in the lead, number one really tempting, and three, well, it can wait a while longer. That was the only dental problem I’ve had to date, so I guess I can’t complain that much.

As the somewhat good news is my daughter’s big art show she curated looks to be at least break even with maybe some profit by the end of the show, so those choices might well be on the table. It would be nice for dad’s “investment” to yield something.

Still, she got some good press, nice connections and buzz, so I guess it was worth it even without a dollar back. I’m proud how she pulled it all together, and happy the expensive pieces are the ones that sold. Now she has an artist list she’s representing and contacts with buyers. At least the six years of tuition may be worth something. But the bottom line, happy daughter, happy dad. At the end of it that’s all that matters. The rest is background noise.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this MKWS "Kanthal A1" 0.8mm x 0.2mm from FT is actually SS ribbon. When I first wrapped and tested it was on a mod that locks resistance, so I took it off after getting a good even glow, and put it back on for a fresh read, and got 0.51 ... because it was still warm. Putting it on my tab now shows cold 0.45, and after firing: 0.54. Also just wrapped another at 6 wraps on a different RDA --- showed 0.31 ohms cold, and 0.44 just after firing. Those numbers make sense for SS 316 on steam engine (and, this MKWS wire seems awfully shiny for Kanthal).

I've been playing flat out (pun intended) with my new RDTAs all week.

    The NarTa RDTA:
    NarTas.jpg

Similar airflow to the NarCa RDA, but more restricted. It is an absolute flavour machine. Easy to coil and wick and fill.

It's only downside, is despite the 3ml capacity, it drinks like @Letitia on Margaritas night :D

If it was squonkable, it would help - a lot ;)

    Haku Riviera RDTA:
    riviera.jpg

More airy wide open than the Haku Venna - this also has internal adjustable airflow, so you can tighten it down to tight MTL easily. I prefer it wide open.

Flavour is outstanding - no matter what build I run in it. I've used flat wire, twisted wire, and right now I'm using a 2.5mm 28ga ni90 5 wrap coil. I'm still getting incredible flavour.

Juice Guzzling: It's not as bad as the NarTa  and with my lil 28ga coil in there it's actually pretty damn good. Not exactly sipping the juice, but it's not drinking or guzzling it either - and it helps being squonkable.

This RDTA hasn't left the Pumper since I got it. It's an absolute perfect match

Yeah, that looks the case to me. I wonder if I'll get 316l or kanthal in my order - as that's what I ordered too ;)

Stevie the momma and her baby bunny, Goldie are eating well as usual today. The one picture shows a Grey rabbit that usually comes to get food from me too but I don’t like how the grey one bullies Stevie and her baby. Stevie is shy and timid and the Grey one likes to take her food.

Nonononono..... the implant itself was close to a bazillion dollars. This is just for the tooth to fill the hole. Fortunately, mine is at the top back of my mouth (aka not visible) so I’ve put it off for a year . Notice I opted for two dani minis BEFORE considering the tooth. But, I have $1000 left on my dental for the year, and the dentist suggested I make good use of it and just suck up for the copay. I tend to have an expensive mouth :(

My preference would be 3 more dicodes....but, Himself’s willing to pony up for dental long before $5-600 worth of mods. He thinks I have too many mods etc already, crazy ol coot!

Congratulations to your daughter on a successful show! You can rightfully puff out your chest and be super proud!!

Awww... How cute! And expensive. :D A penguin cyclops? ;)

But seriously now--I think it's gorgeous. I wish they made regulated mods in stabilized wood. It's a conversation piece for sure. @Zazie Enjoy!
Thank you. I intend to, I promise.

It wasn't madly expensive, either: $75 with the 50% off sale Asmodus is running right now.
