I was totally shocked the last time I was in the hospital (end of August) they had a menu and you just ordered your meal when you wanted it. Several Panini's sandwiches, Omelettes, etc.Actually it all went a bit pear shaped. I'd just got home when the Nice hospital rang and said that my bloods were unexpectedly bad and I needed a transfusion again. Long story short I'm back in but into a really nice private room. At least I'll probably get both the stem cell collection and my anemia sorted at the same time.... Honestly though it was like slapstick... I'd got home and hadn't even packed my bag and the call came in. I then had a whole 20 minutes before the taxi came to pick me up again...
As far as as the food goes it's not good as you would expect... For supper I had 2 sausages with dried smash potato mix, a bowl of half water half lentil soup, a roll, cheese and a pot of fromage frais. If anything I think the French food is marginally better than English

This is quite a hoot, the way they scoot you around like they do. Seems like you are in good hands but you think they would have had you sit things out nearby while they checked on your blood Charlie.
Every time I am in the hospital it is unexpected and then I am all about "when can I go home?" later I think to myself "why didn't I just enjoy it all and stay as long as I could, I mean push the button and you get ice cream!

Of course it is. All wild animals would love to be cared for. Some it is just not possible (deer, bears etc) in this case I see no harm. What is she going to miss? The cold, the lumber truck missing her by a hair? Not sure if you read a little bit back but another bunny was smashed. The area is not a designated bunny wildlife area. Just seems some have landed there

I had a bunch of bunnies in my backyard. Of course at first the dog thought they were new chew toys I got her, but they eventually worked out a truce. They never made eye contact. So long as no staring occurred all was peaceful. They ate out the herb garden, but the deer were eating everything else anyway, so why fight. The only traumatic experience was looking out at bunny brunch and having the damn fox pop up, grab one, and take off. Even the dog was ...... but it happened too fast for me to intervene or let her out to scare off the fox.
The life in the wild is not so pleasant. I expect Ricky will be a very good dad and Stevie will have lots of fun hopping around the house while making believe she really can be litter trained.

I have a 6' chainlink fence around 2.5 acres. My dog thinks it all belongs to him. He learned that from another dog I had that I called my serial killer. Any wildlife in my yard doesn't last long unless they can make it through the fence. My dog now catches everything even a few birds. He hasn't caught any roadrunners yet but he has caught a couple ravens and other birds. Rabbits (sorry Ricky), squirrels, lizards and snakes have no chance. God forbid a coyote would be stupid enough to get in the yard.
At my old house here in Georgia I had about an acre and I used to let my cats go out daily, home at night. For two springs in a row one of my cats brought me home baby bunnies. He was a nest robber! After the second spring he was no longer allowed to go out. It was very sad. I called the wildlife rescue peeps and they said even if you rushed it here to us the chance of it surviving is almost zilch.

Baby bunnies are very hard to hand raise. We've tried twice now and I'm sure it won't be the last time. They are so fragile. They seem to make their nests in shallow pits. I thought they lived in tunnels underground. I fenced off part of the yard for the dogs. In one corner of that area there's a rose garden with a picket fence around it. A rabbit made a nest in the rose garden but right next to the picket fence. One of my dogs dug under the picket fence just enough to get one paw through and drag out the babies, which she dismembered and brought in the kitchen. She was cunning, hid them in her mouth when I let her in. By the time I found the nest there were only 2 left. I piled rocks up by the fence and they survived.
Same thing happened a few years ago. They built a nest under the edge of the A/C pad. That time there were no survivors. Rabbits are cute but not very smart. I mean, build a nest in a dog pen?
