NY
Good morning shiners! I’m not even going to pretend to get caught up, so I hope everyone is doing well, packages are arriving, and nothing new was released in the last 48 hours I would have wanted but is already sold out.

As to packages and coronavirus, it’s highly unlikely it could survive long enough on a package to cause any problems. But I’d avoid sitting next to someone raving about the great time they had in Wuhan last week, and how lucky they feel to have gotten the last plane out before the quarantine was enacted.

Air travel is the bigger issue especially if you’re passing through one that gets international flight from Asia. Of course my daughter has been traveling all week bouncing around Texas and New Orleans. All I could offer her was lots of hand sanitizer and if was willing, which I doubt, a face mask traveling through the airport and plane. She’s back Sunday so I’ll find out if she did that.

Interestingly in NY, where there is a large Chinese population, face masks are essentially sold out. People bought it out for themselves and to send to relatives in China where everywhere there is also sold out.

At least Shenzhen isn’t nearby, but talk about the perfect storm of a new virus that can jump from person to person over Chinese New Year with a lot of the population traveling, although a lot of people seem to have voluntarily cancelled plans out of worry.

    morning all!

what alcohol do you use for cleaning new stuff? i did it with dishwashing soap but it gave off a taste. i've just been rinsing with water and hand soap, didn't clean my zbiip at all_ how does one clean a pod/cartridge?

might recall i had bought 20 coils on a slash flash sale for my old cleito before i got into building. i got refunded after the shipment got stuck/seemingly lost for over a month. i had settled, with the endorsement of @AngeNZ, to forgoe the novelty of having some coils for future whims, and having moved into building and having a decent stock for 2 other stock tanks, seemed not worth it even if i had the chance to get them. but now the shipment arrived after all! what do you all think_ send them back or tell CB to recharge the money and keep'em?

in other news, i've coiled and wicked my first BF rta; orfrf gear. i used the coilology coils and the cotton that came with them (muji prbbly)_ with elevate i've only had success with wotofo coils and fancier shoe-lace cotton, and since many ppl use both muji and coilology, i figured there's no reason they shouldn't work. idk_ i've managed to wick it so that it doesn't leak or spit (some liquid does come out when i drag hardish), but idk, either the coils or the cotton, i'm not sure, i mean, the tank is supposed to be a better vape than the elevate so... i guess the question is that, knowing that many say theyre just fine or perfect, do you find that cheaper cotton and coils like coilology and muji are not as good as the more expensive counter parts (in my case COTN and wotofo cotton and coils)? i only have 2 packs of cotton as such and i'm hesitant to buy a big pack of cotton because, however cheap, i don't want to buy something i can't use and have it lying around..

should i be dripping and firing the cotton more to break it in better? is there a trick to comb it more without thinning it too much? should i get better cotton (something puff or Sheseido if they are better) or are shoelace and other types of packaging from branded vaping manufacturers always going to be better and i have to stick to that rather than cut my own?

anis/blueberry flavoured clouds your way and happy saturday(?)!

Wick is as subjective as everything else vape related. Use the 15% off code at ft (CNYRAT15) to order a few varieties of wick and see what works best for you.

Good morning virm. As @Letitia said, everyone's vaping experience is subjective. I can tell you what has been working for me in the past. I am also trying new coils and cotton now with great success.

This is what I have been using with no problems. I like the Firebolt cotton for ease of use. The Coilart Aliens have also been very good in my experience, for both single and dual build decks.

I have recently switched to new coils and cotton, just to try something different. Built my Augvape Occula RDA last night with new coils and cotton, just to try something new. I like the new coils just as well as the ones I have been using. I like the new cotton better. It is shorter than the Firebolt, and doesn't waste as much cotton. It is also more absorbent than the Firebolt. The build was great. Probably will stick with this combo for awhile. Can't wait to try in my RTA's.

I get 2-3 wicks from the COTN and will get 3-4 from the firebolt I got in the mail yesterday. Only get 2 from the wotofo agleted but it performs well for me.

    goodbye
My rebuildable collection so far. I know it can't hold a candle to most Shiny's here, but I'm happy so far. Not done by a long shot though. Wrong thread to be a part of for that.

Yes they will. I like the gtmesh better. If you want to try the ceramic pm me. Flavor is good but the draw is too tight. I have an rba for the Cerberus so will only order a few pks of the mesh for the stash.
I did not know that there was an RBA for the Cerberus. I wonder if the RBA would work for any other tank I mean I have a Cerberus and I liked it so maybe I'll check that out

If it works for the Cerberus, technically it should work for the Vaporesso NRG and SKRR tanks also. The Vaporesso GT coils work in the Cerberus, so sounds like it should be compatible.

The Crerbus does not have a dedicated rba, just a couple compatible heads.

Ijoy exo single, hard to find now. Stocking up thread pretty much snagged them all up. Just Frank over at vu will probably know if any other brands are compatible. I know the smok prince and beast (baby?) rba is compatible with many tanks as well.
Do you know by any chance......Is the prince rba the same size as the bb rba?

I think they have different specs Mel. Honestly I've been too lazy to look into an rba compatible list. Probably one out there somewhere, FT maybe.

Maybe I’ll play guinea pig and order a prince. Haven’t tried the bb rba in the Peacemaker yet. What I need is for Aspire to drop the nautilus rba they hinted at a while back

I believe only the Baby Prince is TFV8 compatible.
