Well, I've had a bit of a headache with my dotshell today. Decided to re-wick this morning as I originally wicked it pretty tight through the coil and the flavour became a bit muted. No dry hits just muted. Anyway wicked it and put it back together only to find it wouldn't fire due to a short.

I kept taking it apart checking it and it seemed fine but every time is put it back together it still had the short. After much frustration I tried one more time. Decided that the coil was touching the top cap when under pressure in the dot mod. Although I thought that the coil was installed as low as it could go I pushed it down really firmly and problem solved.

Lesson learned...when using a 3mm id coil make sure it's set really low on the deck. You haven't got a lot of room to play with....hope this helps someone.

Ok I am going to build my dvarw DL atty now for the first time. Wish me luck....I have high hopes for a superb vape :)

Good morning!

Took the dogs for a short walk. Glad I kept it short. For 50 degrees it sure was cold! Windy and damp. But the sun was nice.

My SIL and her bf came over to pick up her juice. He’s giving her a little static about vaping 2 mls a day. So I fogged up the house and said THAT was 2 mls It’s not a big deal.

I hate that people bully her about it, and she can’t stand up for herself.

I understand your comment about the mechs, but it's been over a year since I've used mine (GP Vapourart and a byLeo Bod Mecha).
I don't want to hoard, so I think I'll sell them.
Haven't seen much of it on the classies.
Do you think there's much of a market for them?

I’m not familiar with that one, but I’d bet someone is. Depending on condition, location, and price, I’m sure it’ll find a home. There is a pretty good mech crowd here.

I need some advice here guys.

I had a DOA Vinci X in an order from Fasttech with a ticket created 22 days ago. I gave them clear photos and videos of the faulty item.
They replied twice asking me to re-send the videos. I can only assume the Corona virus/staff levels had them stalling at this point.

Finally here is their reply:

Thank you for your video.

We have checked it and will pass it to the supplier to double check the problem.

Could you please have the item repaired in a local repair shop? Would you Please inquiry about the repair costs and get back to us for the cost. We will consider if it is acceptable to repair it in your place and give you a refund for the repair costs.

I've been buying from FT for 4 years now and this is a first. Previous refunds were pretty fast. I know the virus has slowed them down but the content of their reply is bizarre.

I feel like I'm wading in quicksand here.
I've replied demanding a full refund but I know another week or more will pass until they reply. I know it's only 40 bucks but it's the principal.

What should I do?

EDIT: Of course any local electronics repairer here would charge a minimum of 120 bucks to look at it then 80/hour to try and fix the little POS. This is not Shenzen with repair shops on every corner.
Reverse charge on your credit card or Paypal card if you paid that way.

You should be able to sell those pretty fast right now. A lot of people are buying up mech mods now with the regulations around the corner. I would buy that GP if I had the $

Just preordered the destiny rta at 3f. Coiled and wicked the jk minis this morning and yes they all have my beloved tri cores installed. Do like the flat wire quite a bit but it doesn't suit all my juices and needs a dry burn more often. Thinking for me the flat will work out better in rdas.

They aren't translating what you have messaged them well enough. Tell them it can't be repaired locally, it's DOA and you require a refund or gift certificate. Mention that you are happy to go through PayPal buyers protection if need be. Good luck

Ok here she is on my new IPV V-IT which has the SX 540 chip. It's my first SX chip and I'm impressed.

Brilliant atty. I wicked it using the Exocet method developed by good old Rob Fisher and it wicks brilliantly with zero leaks and the juice flow and draw is perfect.....

@Pigs , wish me luck, Kudos just arrived!!!
Help??? How do you open the bugger’s door? Gahhh! Off to google

Fingernail at the button end, and push from the screen out. When filling it, do it really slowly and make sure air bubbles are coming out of its teeny air vent. The 510 tube squonks/flows with the unlocked padlock pic. The locked padlock blocks it.

    Have fun ;)

Thanks Ange but I wasn't clear enough in my post:
I told them succinctly that it was DOA (in 3 messages), that it couldn't be repaired locally and that I wanted an immediate refund or replacement please.

I like the idea of Paypal Buyers Protection. I'll use that next
