:( Good luck getting them to make it right Mel.
They’re trying. The problem is I can’t figure out how to get it back to them. My only option is the drop boxes in front of the post office. I don’t think I can fit the package through the slot. Vapor Range has been really responsive about the issue though. They emailed me back almost immediately. I may be stuck with gold and a 25% refund. I’m disappointed to not get blue, but they’re doing the best they can under the circumstances. They get a load of bonus points/gold stars from me for customer service!!!

If you have a printer you can weight the package and pay online, they'll pick it up.

I’ll have to look into it. UPS/Fedex are only doing no contact deliveries, so maybe they’d pick up if I left it on the porch? I think a week of being stuck in the house + stress is keeping my brain cells from firing correctly. I’m sure I’m getting cranky. I’m counting on y’all to call me out if it comes through here. No need to subject everyone to a foul humour.

I love labeneh! We're lucky to have a large Jordanian community in Sydney. Also many Lebanese. My favourite lunch is fresh Lebanese bread with homous, tabouleh, falafel and maybe some kibbeh followed by baclava and arabic coffee.

kibbeh as in the raw stuff or the fried ~balls?
    that's a noice lunch
arabic coffee like the southern stuff or like the turkish ?

speaking of cardamom__ i did something really blasphemous today: i spiced a burger with ground cardamom and ground coriander seeds..

was all the more delicious with the resident catholic going orthodox with her fast (vegan) :2cool: [i'm really dreading her vengeance next ramadan]

Yummm!!! My daughter’s partner is Persian. They do lots of lamb and fish, but rice not pasta. We go to the middle eastern market here...heavenly choices on veggies, herbs, breads etc. The butcher always has whole lambs to cut to order. You’re making me hungry!!!

studpi corona rules stopped me finally trying the new persian restaurant we have... been a while. i know our cooking has a lot of persio-afghan-... elements. but the unadulterated stuff is just so more potent.. they don't mix the spices as much as us and the hindoes and usually cook the rice separately.. the safron just fumes like a cloud coating the spiciness of whatever protein it accompanies.

surprisingly the cheddar complemented the cardamon quite nicely

i still want cardamom ejuice dumbmit!

I need to see if I can get her to make me some tadig, and saffron chicken mmmmmmm. Labneh is easy to make... greek yogurt in a yogurt strainer overnight. I take some of it and make tzatziki. I made basmati with a dried premixed blend of leek, parsley, dill and fenugreek (gift from inlaws) the other night. (Excuse the holiday plate lol. I’m trying to use them up.) I wish I had some lamb chops in the freezer. I did chicken rolled in lupin beans and herbs instead.

It brought tears to my eyes. I am in a big city in America that just had all the gun stores wiped out completely. Work has dried up and there's no unemployment for me, being self employed. I have a 9yo. son. I need some hope right now.

Amman born and raised... mediterranean among other things (despite the lifelong blockade between us the sea and me)
though i know you meant the graeco-latin side, the less mainstream side (pasta like( of which i keep getting surprised by how similar it is to us ... half my childhood sweets seem to have a greek cognate

i must admit to the olive oil... i consume about up to a liter a month alone, and that's with the german complaining.

    vegetables.. check

mutton is a big part of it though.. why people ignore that?

I haven't had real mutton since I was five, but I liked it. Wish I could get it.

    confused tag again! gun stores?

sorry to hear of your troubles. odd, they got the insurance here in germany for selfemployeds, optional though, unlike the regular kind. fiance opted out though, for now at least, as it seems to be a bit more expensive.

we call it labaneh_ to the wolrd it'd probably be like cheese (though to my mind it's more like a kind of yogurt). the rounded ones are usually dryer and harder to begin with, the dippie stuff ranges from creamy to crumbly depending...

    Strained yogurt - Wikipedia

that was a fancy schmancy pic though
this is how it looks back home:

    labneh-korat.jpg

and this is the dippier stuff
