Good Morning EveryOne !!!

I have always very strongly felt that "where there is a Will there is a Way". And so there Is.

Follow-up to my Steam and vape quest for The Shiny of yesterday...

After a couple email exchanges Steam and vape offered up a most perfect solution. We are in the process of completing our transaction. My new French friends totally Rock!

I Love it when things naturally Flow in Life as They should. :)

ETA: They even gave me a discount!!!

I hope @ShowMeTwice isn't to disappointed that there won't be a video smashing it on the concrete :p
Zero disappointment. Just 100% gratitude mate. SandV will be dispatching my new Shiny item.

There will be No smashing of gear on the concrete for Me ... not yet anyways.

Someday when one of my mods goes belly up, oh yes smash city, and I will film it too.

Today All is well in my Land Of Vape!!! :pervy:

Good morning shiners! Some stuff arriving today but I think it's all juice. Tough to remember all of it these days as I tried to get in as much as I could before the NY May 18 cut off.

I won't be around much again today as my daughter seems to have relapsed with her Covid infection. Spent yesterday getting a pulmonologist to see her today rather than the beginning of June, which seems the wait is now that his office has been able to reopen. I'll be taking her myself because she always get so anxious she ends up not remembering everything she's told to do and has this annoying little habit of keeping her complaints and symptoms minimized, and now is not the time to play that game.

When I spoke to him yesterday he said he's found a number of people who seem to get better then relapse, but is it's more likely the same infection just restarting, not caught again, and some of his inpatient hospital patients have taken a few months before they were pretty much fully recovered. There are a few studies coming out that note the same thing, which is disconcerting as how someone who has been infected can really be cleared to return to normal activities and work once things do reopen. So I'm now just treating my 25 year old incredibly smart child in many areas unrelated to medicine, like an unruly 15 year old.
Sorry to hear this Eskie and I will be praying for recovery for her and safety for you

@Eskie so sorry to hear that. Keeping you both in my thoughts.

So far my family has been okay, and I’m very grateful.

I’m having one of those days when everything I touch is giving me a hard way to go. My computer and software are buggy, phone is weird, tv keeps cutting out. Even my kindle is glitchy. It always seems to happen in bunches lol. I probably should just wash the dishes and dust, no electronics to goof up.

Totally forgot I have some of these mods in my stash. Was looking for something else and came across a mod from back a few.
IMG_0084cr.jpg

Old iPV D3 with the YIHI SX150H chip and a KFL19. It's the same size as an asMODus Colossal.

It does TC but I would need to buy some titanium wire for that. Meantime wattage mode it is. ;)

Mine is the IPV D3S. Hardly used it but it feels solid and nice. The weird thing is is makes this tiny little high frequency hum/ whine when it's on. You really have to listen closely. Maybe it's trying to tell me something in code. Does yours sing to you SMT?

No.

We bought some of these years ago. The wife loved them. Tough little mods. She was dropping mods all the time and these help up nicely.

But no, no hi-freq hums/whines from them. Even held it right up to my ear, left and right, nothing.

Definitely no singing. Don't know if I should be happy :) or sad :( now. j/k

I just took mine out of it's box and powered it up. Only sings immediately after a vape. Does it every time and lasts about 3 or 4 seconds. If I fire it without an atty it stays mute.
I'd be happy if I were you. Not the sweetest song. Little robo - overture

There were two versions of the iPV D3. The original D3's came out in 2015ish before the D2's were released. Mine are the newer ones that came out, late 2015 or early '16, after the D2's.

What version do you have? Maybe it's the v1?

ETA: Just looked in my stash and I even have some silicone sleeves for them.

Mine's the S that has the YiHi SX150H board. They updated something from the original- can't quite remember. Something to do with the board.

Edit: just found this comparison:

IPV D3
Chip: YiHi SX130H-V2
VW: 7 - 80W 0.15 - 3.0 Ohm
TC: 10 - 75W 0.05 - 0.5 Ohm
TC-Preset: Ni200, Ti

IPV D3S
Chip: YiHi SX150H with TCR
VW: 10 - 80W 0.15 - 3.0 Ohm
TC: 10 - 100W 0.05 - 1.5 Ohm
TC-Preset: Ni200, Ti, YiHi SX Pure, TCR, ?SS?

Just checked the version and it is a D3S with the YiHi SX150H chip.

Found this:
They added voltage step down integration which many users of the IPV D2 bemoaned the absence of. This means that battery life is even more efficient, and the chip can fire at voltages below the current battery voltage level. Essentially the voltage shown on screen is the true voltage being delivered, which makes for much more stable and accurate power output.

And - 80w of output power in wattage mode, and 75J in temperature control mode.

I wonder if @TrollDragon may have more info???
