These are some sort of campanula I used to have sever varieties, lost all but these over the years View attachment 893455

And the black ones are hollyhocks. Taller than me already which isn’t saying much, but it’s early in the year for them to be this high.

The orange ones are wild and I believe native, we call them ditch lilies.
All the way to NH they’re called Ditch Lilies.

I've got ditch lilies around the edge of my yard. They are tough plants.

There were hollyhocks by the back deck for ever. Last year I dug out a small bed and planted a bunch more in lots of different colors, with a small fence around because the dogs liked to dig them up when they first sprouted. All the new ones died. Hollyhocks always get some leaf rot in the spring but this year the leaves turned black and the plants died just as they were starting to sprout. I got one bright red flower. The only survivor was one of the original plants. Not sure if it was the heat or I didn't water them enough or just bad luck.

@Pigs your recommendation to use Australia Expedited Air with fasttech Rocks and Rolls:headbang::headbang:
I placed an order on the 23rd of this month and it arrived in Australia on the 28th and has already cleared customs and moved onto the main Australia post depot.
At this rate I'll have vape mail tomorrow:thumb:

It definitely pays to upgrade your shipping and it only cost me an extra $3.10:)

The purple ones are columbine. A self-seeding annual that will winter over, if conditions are right, for a year or two. The smaller pink ones I’m not sure.
Columbine, yes. Thank you. If I had a penny for every time she told me which is what I would have many coffee cans full of pennies. The obvious ones, roses, daffodils, buttercups, lilies, daisies I have no problem with. I do know a regular lily from a tiger lily though. It's the oddball ones I never recall.

    This is somewhat terrifying, no?
It is a few miles away. This kills me. Mt. Charleston is my favorite spot around here. The wind today is so strong, I'm hoping it dies down soon. The high wind warning expires in 5 hours. fingers crossed.
