Now I feel guilty about bad mouthing the Colossal. It really is a good mod. I got a couple of them and use one every day. It just has some annoying features. The slippery surface and the low level button. Plus I tend to hold a mod in my hand and forget about it. Then I accidentally operate the touch screen, change the pre heat from N to H and occasionally change the mode and give myself a power blast.

On some of the early ones the spring on the negative battery terminal was so strong there was no way to get the battery out with just your fingers. The second one I got was fine though.

But if you aren't as clumsy as me it's a great mod. I did drop one from waist height onto concrete once shortly after I got it. Trashed the tank and chipped some paint on the Colossal but it worked fine afterwards, so it's tough.

I can get one pretty cheap. In regards to it being slippery, it looks to me that the different colors might have different texture from the images I am seeing. So maybe some colors are more slip-prone than others?

I got red and green. I believe some colors have different textures but I don't remember which.

Thanks! Glad I bought the Buddha doors (last set in ft stock) A bit gaudy but really loving the look and the message. They're shiny but the finish doesn't keep fingerprints.

Even without going into escribe the stock DNA is such a great vape. That's 4 dna mods now but 1st squonker. Escribe tinkering tomorrow.

The black and grey colours have more texture in the finish - this review goes into it a bit more. Vapor Range looks to have those colours still in stock (code BYEBYESUN takes off 15%)

That is unfortunate to hear about the Colossal. I was planning on grabbing one this week. I thought it looked like a pretty good mod. I'm in the market for a couple of single battery mods and I liked the look of the Colossal.

I hereby add my voice to the clamor in favor of the Colossal that undoubtedly followed this post.

I don’t have a gray. I have a gunmetal, if that’s what you mean. That’s the shiniest one of all, sort of a mirror finish. Mine is rather scratched up from use.
