Hey all <3 How about a little Thursday coil pr0n?

Eh8pLog.jpg

I picked up some Terk V2 Blank AF RDAs from his 50% off sale on the 4th so I'll have more decks to run my custom caps on. Pretty sweet deal for 20 bucks each. My typical Ni80 3*26/36 .11 ohm alien build in the pic :D

Good afternoon ya All !!!

Just placed an order with Creme de vape. I came close to buying a Dicodes Dani box mini but very much chickened out at the last second. Again it was that pesky voice in my head saying "no, no, no" while my shiny voice screamed "do it". Stuck to my plan going in and bought misc rta parts for the vapocalypse stash and some other bits and bobs. :D

I used drop ins till what, 2017? But I started diy within a couple months of starting to vape. Never looked back. I have bought a couple bottles just because someone here had it and it looked good.
I was slow to start real diy. Used to buy "doublers" and add vg, pg and nic because you couldn't (still can't) buy juice with nic in it here. Then later it got easier to buy full retail nic juice from NZ. Found a Vapetasia juice I loved and pretty much stuck with it. It wasn't til I started reading the diy thread on ecf that I started experimenting with diy proper. Lots to learn still but haven't bought a retail juice in a year or so.

Good to know. Now I have to decide if I want to buy a couple of them in the US, or spend 20 dollars less and buy them on Sourcemore. Never bought vape gear from China before, but with that price difference, I am seriously considering it.
I've never had an issue buying from Sourcemore, Fasttech and some others from China. With COVID shipping and the waiting could be a serious pain in the ..... Not sure but SM may have a shipping option like DHL if you want it quick.

Here a link to a really good price on a Stabwood mod on 2fdeal. Not sure how good the 80 watt chip is though.....

Authentic Asvape Gabriel 80W 18650 TC VW APV Stabilized Wood Box Mod - Random Color Silver Trim

Colours are random too so you have to take pot luck. Enjoy :D
Handsome mod. And $100 off list price. Not sure about their chip either.

I don't necessarily need it quick. I just need to know it is not going to take 4 months to get to me. It seems like with Fasttech, people are waiting a long, long time. I was hoping that Sourcemore was a bit better in terms of reliability.

I'm gonna tell him. Got a video? Maybe we should all do slightly wobbly happy dances when something good happens (with paper bags on our heads like Cloud's avatar) and post to youtube
Much better option is partaking in margarita night. :D

    Morning shinies ;)

I always think of coils as first wind "over" or "under". I spose it's because I wind them horizontally - you know the clock face is on it's side.

I think of them as normal or pita - but only because I got so used to winding clockwise, that when I need a counter-clockwise coil, I have to think and concentrate or it comes out clockwise

That was a common complaint. They didn't bring much more to the table except complexity :)

And the best relaxed MTL draw--2.3 mm diameter airflow hole under the coil. My sweet spot. And then, for some reason, in the subsequent Kayfuns, they went back to tight MTL and later to open RDL. Nothing in the middle.

well I think one of them mentioned that I need one wound counter clock wise. HA.

Can't help, other than this--this is all I know! Left-hand coil vs right-hand coil! :D

    Ahem ;), you mean anticlockwise?

My wife Veronica uses Zoom for her teaching classes but I don't know why people don't use Skype.....maybe it's something to do with conference calls or maybe it's just that Zoom caught on and more people have it??

All major institutions here in CA--universities, business, governmental agencies--use Zoom to conduct meetings and conferences and such. The second we were locked down, everybody went to Zoom. No idea why--there are other platforms.

It's really not clear nowadays because of Covid. I used to order from FT, 3FVape, other Chinese vendors and never really had any problems--my packages always arrived within 2 weeks or so (epacket) when items were in stock and ready to ship. But my last shipment from FT (from November) got lost--tracking still shows it's in Los Angeles. But FT issued a refund even though it wasn't really their fault--the shipped the package. They honored their policy and I applaud them for that.
