I wonder why that is. I wouldn't difference in width between 26 and 28 to be all that much.

It's not a big difference at all size wise. But 28ga at 0.32mm compared to 26ga's 0.4mm just heats and cools faster.

Doing another flavours order as I need more TFA vanilla swirl. I've got FLV Cream, FLV Frosting and FLV Boysenberry in there too. I know FLV Cream is popular, has anyone tried the other 3 flavours?
I have all three of the FLV and really like them. Use FLV Cream all the time. It's one of my favorite creams. Nice and full bodied. Don't know if you have FLV Whipped Cream but that's another really good one. I think it's the best whipped cream out there.

That explains why you had problems and were frustrated with rayon. I think 29g is just too thin. Doable but a PIA.

That explains it. My go-to coil is 2.5mm ID, 29 or 28g kanthal, ~1Ω; similar with 316L; round wire, both contact and spaced. It just works for us low wattage people because of the quick ramp-up time.
IMO you will find a more pleasing experience with rayon using 26g kanthal or 316L simple round. I use it with 2mm, 2.5mm even 3mm ID's and 26g.

But then I'll have to throw more wattage on those slower coils. A whole new world for me. :)

I guess I just assumed they were clean when they came out of the packaging.

Nothing is clean until you clean it yourself. :)

That said, I don't take my tanks apart like our friend @Opinionated does. I just Separate major components--the deck, the glass tube, top cap, DT, AFC rins, etc.
Even taking out the o-rings? Because I hate that. I always have such a hassle getting them back in right.

I don't take them off for cleaning, but I do inspect them--they need to be seated properly in their grooves; sometimes they get dislocated or twisted or may be missing, and then your tank will leak. But I always lubricate my o-rings after a wash--it keeps them pliable and protects them from cracking. I use VG, but you can use your eliquid also.

The lower the gauge, the sturdier the coil. Easier to wick, slower to heat up, but more mass and surface area = more vapor. Essays have been written here and elsewhere about heating coil architecture, but it's not my strong suit. Anyway, one of the reasons modders created Claptons and other exotic coils was to increase vapor production and possibly quality. But you'll have to google it. I'm not an expert. I stick to my single wire simple coils.

That reminds me, I still need to make some cream based eliquid. Since I started DIY a couple of weeks ago, I have just been focusing on simple fruit recipes. But I bought several cream and vanilla type flavors as well.

I have the boysenberry and find it pairs well with stronger fruits like mango and boosts darker berries very well.

Not true. One word--Erlkonigin. Never got that thing built right. And I watched every video, I studied Qorax's pictorials, and had help from many ECF experts, including Roxy.

OTOH, I only had two cheap clones, not an authentic, so there's that. ;)
I remember those days with your Erl, it was a nightmare for you. ;)

I always wanted one of those Erl clones that had Qorax's name lasered onto the chimney, but never did get one.
