Thanks Kat. I'm not sure whether the Dvarw DL will come with a MTL kit. I'm thinking probably not. I'll certainly report back about the improvements. The biggest one for me will be how easy it is to clamp those coil legs down.....

Anyway I'll let you know. It'll take a while as they still haven't left China yet :)

China? I thought you were buying from KHV mods, locally. I was thinking that the DL FL with a 2.5 mm single hole insert (sold separately) might be good for me. In the meanwhile, I'm waiting for the FL MTL. It may take some time. :D

I'm planning on drilling out one of the Tripod's smaller AF pins to see if I can get it close to 2mm (or better). @Katya wants to do the same with hers.

I do, I do. But I have no idea how to that. They are ss and so tiny... At least, I think they are tiny. My Tripod is in transit. No updates, not even on my Radar. Sigh.

Way to go!!! "Modding with Mel". Would have loved a video. ;)

How did you do it? Drill press? What did you use for a clamp? Regular old vise?

You're talking about the 0.8 from these, right?View attachment 901049

Yes, that one. I will advise NOT using a clamp with rubber grips lol. Got a little melty. I finished up just holding it in a pair of pliers at the head so as not to mess up the threading.... Diamond bit on the dremel. The pin is so small it would be hard to get it positioned well for the drill press. It doesn’t take long to get it opened up though. Much easier than drilling out a tank af. The pin is fairly soft, but I had better luck with the diamond grinder/reamer bit than a drill bit made for metal.

You should watch some of the pet and rescue bat vids on YouTube. Just amazing. I like fox's too.

But seriously, we are considering getting a Maine .... cat so Ben the Cockapoo has a companion. Been doing a lot of research on them, and they always weigh in at the top for a family pet. There are 3 breeders within driving distance here in NC.

Wow that Maine .... looks like a proud animal. Never seen one here but I just googled and they are bred and sold locally. $1,000 to $3,000 is the average price range.

Just what I was afraid of. You're fearless, Mel.

I'm doing fine. Really pleased actually as my nurse pursuaded me to try taking my oxygen off and I've just done a whole day without any bad effects. So looks like I'm off the oxygen which is a fantastic feeling.

Also got two Dvarw DL FL's on the way from ft so looking forward to that. Yes a combination of browsing and an easy access credit card is never a good combination :D

    Take care mate
    Congratulations!

unfortunately they are inbreed far to often causing all kinds of genetic problems that the cats have for life. All in the name of money. I work with several rescues that take in from breeders. Cats that have problems and the breeder was never able to sell them. No animal should be used for monetary purposes and it always leads to a lessening of the animals welfare

Sorry for off topic but I feel so strongly about evil greedy breeders of animals for sale that I just have to post it here. Sorry, sorry. Yes, there are responsible breeders out there, but many many are just... :censored:

This was posted by my friend @lorikay13 years ago here. Broke my heart.

"This is a picture of Sal.....a "disposable dog" created by an evil breeder of Collies who did not care about the consequences of trying to develop a pure white collie. He and his brother were kept barely alive in a cages inside someones garage. His brother did not make it....but my friend Ann rescued Sal.....he has no eyes.....but he can hear. SHE is HIS seeing eye human.....he has learned dozens of commands that let him him know where to go and what to do...right...left...up .....down....in the truck....etc. He is the sweetest most loving soul. And so is Ann.
