Agree with you a thousand times over. My beautiful russian blue cat was dropped off at our vet’s office as a wee kitten with her litter mates for euthanasia because they were “unsalable”. They threw a long hair gene, so couldn’t be shown or bred. He whisked them away to the back, gave them all their shots, fixed them, and found them furever homes.Sorry for off topic but I feel so strongly about evil greedy breeders of animals for sale that I just have to post it here. "This is a picture of Sal.....a "disposable dog" created by an evil breeder of Collies who did not care about the consequences of trying to develop a pure white collie. He and his brother were kept barely alive in a cages inside someones garage. His brother did not make it....but my friend Ann rescued Sal.....he has no eyes.....but he can hear. SHE is HIS seeing eye human.....he has learned dozens of commands that let him him know where to go and what to do...right...left...up .....down....in the truck....etc. He is the sweetest most loving soul. And so is Ann.

He was the best vet, forever taking in unwanted animals from horses and goats, to a flock of out of work wedding doves, and even a huge three legged snapping turtle with a cracked shell he had repaired. He once put a pin (made out of a bit of hypodermic needle) in our rescue baby guinea pig’s broken leg. Truly a kind, kind soul
