I don't know. I'm getting cold feet. I may just chuck the whole thing. I hate to mess with batteries.
Before you chuck it, at least attempt to bang the edge of the mode on the table or something to see if you can get the battery to budge a little in the right direction. It is a Solo, it can take a little abuse. We won't tell anyone......

I tried that. I shook and shook (like a Ketchup bottle), tapped and banged. It's stuck.

Don't just chuck it , just get the battery head exposed enough to grab onto with a pair of plyers then slowly pull or twist it out.

Tried that too. Used ceramic tweezers and just took out some of the wrap. Afraid of using metal pliers, honestly. The battery end is flush with the base of the mod. Not enough to grab with pliers anyway.

    Dvarw FL DL Report:

I got the cheap no name clone at FT, which came with a 3mm id airflow pre-installed, plus an extra 2 x 2.5mm insert. I switched that for the sxk 2 x 3mm insert (which fitted in the deck no problem). It only took 2 minutes to stick in a coil, went for a 2.5mm id:
    crapCoil.jpg
Wicked it Exocet/Mr Fisher style - took another two minutes. Primed it, juiced it and OMFG why didn't I get at least two?!

Smoothest airflow I've ever had. I've been chainvaping the hell out of it, and it's kept up no problem

This 2 x 3mm insert (~4.2mm id) with my lil drip tip is perfect draw wise for me. The rich flavour notes it brings out are different again to my other RTAs, which I love. I've got a Tripod, Juggerknot mini and now a Dvarw all running the same mix - and they all bring out different flavours in it

And the single airflow inlet? Now that my ears have adjusted to it, piece of cake.

    Summary: Buy it!!!!!

I'm scared of anything metal near my batteries. Can you get two bamboo skewers or something similar down the sides to hold and pull with?

    Winner!!!!

In total desperation I grabbed the mod and shook some more--nada. Shook a bit more--nothing. Shook again and tapped on the table--and Hallelujah!!! It moved. Tapped again and got just enough to grab the battery with my bare fingers and it's OUT!!!!!!

Now I have to go look for that gasket.

Thank you all again for helping me. I would have given up on my own.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! I love ECF. And I really love all y'all guys and gals!:wub::wub::wub::wub:

Soooo, with a single 2.5mm insert, it might be doable for me? Close to Hastur with 2.5mm insert? I know you're using dual airflow inserts, just trying to figure out what it would be like with singles. It looks so good and it's 24mm, which I prefer.

You need to reply fast--it's already August 14th.

I have enough mods to outlast me. Getting coils for my Zlides stateside (still can't decide if I prefer .8 or 1.6Ω ), so that's done. Now if I could only find a reliable, go-to RTA, I'd be set forever!

Did I mention FDA? Yeah, :censored: FDA!

Yup! Got it and even managed to retrieve the o-ring from the battery compartment--undamaged! Now it's back where it belongs, on the battery cap.

Definitely doable with that single 2.5mm id insert - and since the SXK insert fits the no name clone, the SXK 3.5ml tank set should too

    Here's what I got:

$8.13 SXK Replacement Stainless Steel Top Cap + PC Tank + PEI Tank Kit - 3.5ml / for Dvarw MTL FL 24mm RTA at FastTech - Free Shipping

$1.95 Authentic Vapesoon Resin 510 Drip Tip - 16.5mm at FastTech - Free Shipping
as you really need this DT ;)
 I already had this typed b4 I saw your post - around a 5mm id bore

    and the single hole inserts:
$4.43 2PCS SXK Replacement Single Hole Airflow AFC Insert for Dvarw MTL FL 24mm RTA 2-pack - 1*2.5mm/1*3.0mm at FastTech - Free Shipping

I'm using the 2x2.5mm insert on mine and it's a slightly restrictive RDL. Hope this helps, never tried a Hastur.

Of course it helps! Thanks! Now I need to decide whether to get the no-name or SXK (twice the price). Decisions, decisions. :)
