View? Just another mountainside... I Do like this one better though, more room, more secluded although the neighbors are closer...

Apparently we had a mama bear and her cubs as our welcoming committee, but I missed it because I got grounded and forced to sit in the recliner while they moved stuff in the house... (sounds rough doesn't it? Lol)

Haha... It's nice though, I like the space, this house is definitely bigger so it's really nice. Might miss central heat and air some though..
A view of any mountainside is a better view than I have out my windows! I would definitely miss a/c, but a good wood stove is better than central heat to me. I hope the “boys” are doing a satisfactory job getting everything unloaded and put up. Himself wouldn’t have a clue where to put things lol. It takes me a couple days just to find stuff when he unloads the dishwasher!

I'm sure where you are has sights and beauty of its own. :)

I am missing A/C right now because it's fairly humid and I got spoiled by the decreased humidity of central air, but I'll get more used to it fairly quickly.

The tree cover is thick and there's never a time of day we have direct sun, right now it's only 73 degrees out, so weather is nice... sitting out on the porch is amazing with a light breeze (which I can do in lounge clothes or even jammies), and every room has a ceiling fan (although I may get some more box fans to stick in the windows...) so I've truly nothing to complain about..

As far as unpacking, I'm not having them put anything away that isn't necessary right now.. I am slowly but surely getting the necessities put up, making sure we can bathe and they can make frozen pizza and microwaveable meals, and coffee of course...

But I'm less worried about a lot of it, I don't need an organized kitchen as neither can cook and I find it seriously doubtful I'll be able to very soon after surgery... I can subsist on fruits and salads and whatever they can manage (relying heavily on fruits, veggies and salads that they don't have to actually cook.. lol) for a good while.. I dont need a lot of unhealthy food anyway, nothing beats fresh salad and an orange..

I kind of figure a lot will stay in boxes and I'm beyond caring too much about the little things. When I get healthy and healed enough to care, I'll be well enough to manage. :)

The living room is together enough to curl up on the couch or the recliner and watch t.v., our beds are put together and clothes are in our rooms anyway, if not yet organized in closets..

I'm happy, it'll improve incrementally by the day so there's something to look forward to.

We're all so exhausted and sore right now though.. I keep falling asleep, my husband just fell out into the bed and fell asleep before he could change into comfortable napping clothes, my son isn't planning on getting out of bed for 2 days he said (we'll see.. lol)...

All the kids that came and helped yesterday were amazing though. We gave them each 60 dollars for their help even though they would have done it for free because we couldn't have done it without them. One of the boys said thank you for the money and mentioned he thought it odd my husband forced him to take the money even after he said no... haha. Good kids for real.

Sigh of contentment... :)

That works. I've always felt you must introduce yourself to the new neighbors with proper volume.

In my current home we had the stereo cranking. My neighbor who is also a musician (drummer) hollered "turn it up I can't hear it". So I setup my smaller PA with subs, mixer and a CD player. 1600 watts p/ch, the whole neighborhood heard loud and clear.
and not a single complaint ;)
Sounds like you found a good place to live, pun intended.

OMG, Charger is so freaking cute!!!

Not so subliminal then. Give her time, the Wife knows (they know an awful lot) and she will come around. Then it'll be "Dodge Charger, hop in let's go for a ride". :D

Didn't play in my favor, her car was a lot older than mine and the AC went out last week, so went out yesterday and bought 'her' a new Dodge Journey

So have to wait a few years to pay that down, before can even think of really getting a Dodge Charger, but my car is only a few years old, is only a ford focus, but it isn't bad, just not Charger nice.

But as went to a Dodge dealer, I did spend about a hour drooling over the Dodge Chargers they had in stock.

Agreed the after market stuff is really overpriced and you have to jump through hoops to get it....usually on Facebook. It's all driven because people can and will pay for it pure and simple. I've got what I need for my billets and now I've practically stopped accessory searching ....hell I don't even like a lot of the stuff that's available now and I've never been one to have to have the latest and greatest things available. That's one of the reason that I like Alex so much because his prices reflect the true value of the aftermarket gear/panels available....sometimes he's under half the price of the others......anyway rant over :D
I know you've got a spot for Alex. Just takes too damn long for me.
As of today I'm purging groups and getting out of searching/wanting. I've got cerakoted doors &boros coming and I'm done. Really irritated at this point.

You have more patience than me (shocking, I know lol). That’s why my BBs look just as delivered, outside of Jason’s condensation plugs. The doors are truly beautiful, but cost more than my BB! They’ll just have to stay all plain and pitiful lol

Hmm why not both? fair question for this thread
I'd have to retire one in current use, since I limit myself to five setups in the rotation. Besides, because I'm a slow-motion builder--especially when dealing with a brand-new atty--one was plenty for the day.

Got to say, there's nothing like fiddling with vape gear to take one's mind of everything else. This was particularly welcome today, when current events are weighing on me particularly heavily.

But if I get one, I need to get a backup. And then that backup will need a backup. And then the backup's backup will need a backup. And then......well you see where I am going with this.

So I assume your going to do the same thing with the Brunhilde you have, get a back up and a backup for your backup. You see where I'm going with this....:|
