I have a question for all of you knowledgeable people. Does anyone here have the Aegis Max? I really like the Aegis Solo because of it is so durable and ergonomic. I would like to grab two more mods to add to my stash, and was thinking instead of two more Solos, I might want to add a Max.

It really comes down to what size your comfortable with. The Max is slightly bigger but houses a 21700 over a 18650. There's a slight change in design aesthetics in the Max but everything else is Solo.

I think it can be used with just a 18650 as well, which is good because I don't have the larger batteries. How noticeable is the weight difference between the two?

You have more patience than me (shocking, I know lol). That’s why my BBs look just as delivered, outside of Jason’s condensation plugs. The doors are truly beautiful, but cost more than my BB! They’ll just have to stay all plain and pitiful lol

Yeah, well those plugs are one reason I'm irritated. Not going into it though.

You are correct Geekvape provides a 18650 battery sleeve with it, as far as weight there pretty close to each other, not really that noticeable in my opinion.

I'd get yourself an ultrasonic cleaner. Makes the atty cleaning process so much easier and easily gets into all those cracks and crevices.

Just curious what does an ultrasonic cleaner cost?

I don't have the Solo, but I just got the Max a week ago and it's gone out with me every day since I got it. I like single 21700 mods. I can run a higher wattage tank on it and still have a lot of run time. If you are just going to use an 18650 in it, I would just stay with the Solo. The main advantage of the Max is the fact that it takes 21700's. I do like its durability and the way it feels in the hand.

I agree with you Rob, having the extra power of a 21700 had me switching from my Solo to the Max for my work mod not to mention if I forget to switch batteries out I can get away without doing so for a couple or 3 days of heavy MTL vaping. By the way the Tank is a great match for your Max.

It's best used with a drop or two of dish soap to help dissolve the machine oil in a new atty.

I prefer retainer/denture cleaning tablets to soap--just make sure to get the unflavored kind. Most of them are really minty.

Yes, a long time ago. I have a couple SS Subtank minis and a few RBA decks for them. IIRC it's a fine vape. I should dig one out of the stash and give it a go. Still have a bunch of the OCC coils (0.5, 1.2 and 1.5's) stashed too.

I have one--stainless. I really like it with BVC coils. Or used to like it with BVC coils. Maybe I should also take one for a spin. Been a while.

I used to pair them with the Kbox 40w mods. Super simple mod. One button for selecting either 8, 13, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 watts and one button for Fire. And mine still work! Only thing, the spring on the battery cap had a tendency to chew up wraps.

Right! I have a white one. Somewhere. That's why I wanted a white Subtank, but then peeps started posting pictures of paint flakes floating in their tanks, so I went ss.

Seeing as I'm reminiscing... I should give a nod to my Lemo's too!
They said it would be a Kayfun killer... NOT in a million years!

I got a Lemo Drop (I never buy version 1 of anything ). It has the most infuriating wheel for AFC--I kept spinning it and never knew where I was at. Every new atty in those days was supposed to be a Kayfun killer.

I got mine years ago for ~30 bucks, iirc. Just google it. No idea what the going price is. And I don't use mine anymore.

If you notice, half the silver (lower portion) is missing from this top filling dvarw. If they make a top fill for the FL I'll get more more more. SS atty is the Dvarw.

I'm am kind of learning towards a no on the Max for that reason. That and what @bigbob2322 and @Rob B. mentioned about it being useful only with the larger batteries.

Interesting. What type of dvarw is that one MTL or DL. I thought all of them were bottom fill

I want a backup for my FL MTL Dvarw (with extra tanks and inserts) that's been in transit for 11 days without an update. Only those two are in stock currently and I need to place an order now. One is cheap but only 2 ml, the other one is more expensive (for a backup) but 3.5ml, which I prefer. Not sure which one to add to cart. Oy.
