I'm sure where you are has sights and beauty of its own.
I am missing A/C right now because it's fairly humid and I got spoiled by the decreased humidity of central air, but I'll get more used to it fairly quickly.
The tree cover is thick and there's never a time of day we have direct sun, right now it's only 73 degrees out, so weather is nice... sitting out on the porch is amazing with a light breeze (which I can do in lounge clothes or even jammies), and every room has a ceiling fan (although I may get some more box fans to stick in the windows...) so I've truly nothing to complain about..
As far as unpacking, I'm not having them put anything away that isn't necessary right now.. I am slowly but surely getting the necessities put up, making sure we can bathe and they can make frozen pizza and microwaveable meals, and coffee of course...
But I'm less worried about a lot of it, I don't need an organized kitchen as neither can cook and I find it seriously doubtful I'll be able to very soon after surgery... I can subsist on fruits and salads and whatever they can manage (relying heavily on fruits, veggies and salads that they don't have to actually cook.. lol) for a good while.. I dont need a lot of unhealthy food anyway, nothing beats fresh salad and an orange..
I kind of figure a lot will stay in boxes and I'm beyond caring too much about the little things. When I get healthy and healed enough to care, I'll be well enough to manage.
The living room is together enough to curl up on the couch or the recliner and watch t.v., our beds are put together and clothes are in our rooms anyway, if not yet organized in closets..
I'm happy, it'll improve incrementally by the day so there's something to look forward to.
We're all so exhausted and sore right now though.. I keep falling asleep, my husband just fell out into the bed and fell asleep before he could change into comfortable napping clothes, my son isn't planning on getting out of bed for 2 days he said (we'll see.. lol)...
All the kids that came and helped yesterday were amazing though. We gave them each 60 dollars for their help even though they would have done it for free because we couldn't have done it without them. One of the boys said thank you for the money and mentioned he thought it odd my husband forced him to take the money even after he said no... haha. Good kids for real.
Sigh of contentment...
