I love my MTL FL Dvarw. I was feeling reckless so I got 3 of them. Mostly for extra 3.5ml tanks and spare parts. I have only tried the 2mm insert so far and it's really lovely. Just the way I like it. Just the way I like it. Looking forward to trying those triple-hole ones soon.
3 MTL FL's and some DL FL's??? Cool.

I have the 2x2mm AF insert in my MTL FL. It's a nice airy MTL and a pretty restricted RDL. The 2x2mm insert provides a total of 2.83mm AF. That's the largest AF insert for the MTL FL.

The triple-hole inserts are much tighter. The 3x0.8mm has an AF of 1.38mm. And the 3x0.6mm has an AF of 1.04mm. Tight. Believe it or not, there is a FT math page explaining how to figure out total AF.

I may have missed it, sorry if I did, but did you try the 2x1.5mm insert? That would be 2.12mm AF. I tried that one last and thought it was a real nice smooth MTL.

That is a lot of numbers involved. I think I might just stick to the default airflow insert.

 So you have noticed? I was hoping you wouldn't. Am I still allowed to post in this thread? I really don't want to lose my privileges. ;)

And I want to try master my builds, including different wicking methods (thanks @AngeNZ for organizing them) and materials, especially my freshly acquired Tidi rayon balls. TY

My FL DLs are still in an unopened package from FT.

Seriously, I absolutely love seeing you in here and everywhere else you pop up

and I love answering some of your 757483 questions ( @Redbird11 does too, but he's a bit shy)

....!!!! I'm thrilled to see you've found another RTA you love. Now try the DL FL :sneaky:

When I started vaping 2.5 years ago, I saw the Helve in a kiwi online store, and didn't like the look (or the price) at all. It was just a stock photo. But seeing your pic of it, it's a hell of a lot nicer than I thought

    what's left to get?

Thanks, next in line. I went straight for my default 2mm because I know I like it.

@AngeNZ did you ever work out the total AF for the Project X ???

Using Essellar's math I came up with this...
    3x1.5mm = 1.91mm AF
    Times 2
    For 3.82mm total

Is that what you came up with?

nope I got different I used airwinny's post:
Size of spare insert: FastTech Forums

    I used:
    For 2 holes, it's √2 x diameter, for 3 holes it's √3 x diameter

    √2 = 1,41
    √3 = 1,73

    So:
    2 holes of 1mm = 1 hole of 1,41mm
    3 holes of 1mm = 1 hole of 1,73mm
    3 holes of 0,8mm = 1 hole of 1,38mm

    for us:
    On each side 3 holes of 1.5mm = √3 x 1.5 = 1 hole of 2.59 each side

 Love you back and thanks for all your help and patience. And yes, DL is next. It needs a bath. Very curious how it works with a 2.5 ml insert. If it's good, I'm golden. Fingers crossed.

Thank you. I just recalculated using Essellar's method and also got 2.59. The first time I hit square root on my calc two times when it should have been once.

I need some good scissors as well. Both of my pairs of scissors do not work well. I am pretty sure they are for right handed people only.

I have a few small scissors that work just fine but I’m having a Shinyitis attack after seeing those posted scissors lol!!! So now I NEED some similar to those to quench my shiny desire lol!

This is EXACTLY why I’ve been TRYING to avoid this forum specifically this darn thread!!

Speaking of which my latest Fedex updates has my shiny stabwood estimating Wednesday as delivery day. In the past I’ve always gotten those overseas deliveries a day or two early. But I’ll just assume it’s Wednesday.

I’m afraid to scroll through the thread but lately it’s been a lot of talk about MTL atties which don’t interest me much so I’ve been safe except for the scissors of course!!

    Happy Shiny Shopping!!!

Well, that's a relief. Whew! I was beginning to worry.
