I remember the first time, in 2016, when I heard my fiercely (and quiet feminist) mother tell the nurse to please change her diaper. I knew we were at a point we were not coming back from at that moment. I was in California because she was admitted for the second time in two weeks. She told me not to come but I left Georgia and went on the first flight I could find. I was hoping she would not be mad as that sent chills down my spine reminding me of childhood. She was happy to see me but told me to go home within a few days. I tried to change her mind, she would not relent.I was at the airport doing what she told me to do when I got the call 'turn for the worse.' Myself and my best friend were throwing around what I should do and I just boarded the plane. She passed that night. I felt like we had said our goodbyes. when you are standing there at your parents deathbed, you know this is a pivotal time and you are trying to to tell yourself, pay attention, say the right things. do not forget these moments etc. and no matter what you are telling yourself it is all a blur because you are numb.
My mother would NOT let me be there for her. Even before this point, I was getting calls from neighbors who checked on her, telling me she was always asleep and not eating. I wanted to go to her. She would have none of it. I think when they told her she was not going to be able to go home, that was it for her. She waited for me to leave and then just said "peace out' and left.

Dang man, sorry you had to go thru that.

Totally agree with the numb part, also about saying the right thing.
My mom had to be put in a induced coma without me being there so i don't remember the last thing i said to her.
Colon cancer took her away in 2010 and up to this day i think of her atleast 2 times a day.

I worked with her everyday, she helped me in my office in the afternoons, she was good with clients.
I did the leg work,in the morning going to the notary with the clients so they could sign the deeds to their house, sign the wills and then afternoons i spend taking clients to show them the show houses of condos or villas in development.

Funny story, cop stopped me the other day and he asked for my id card.
FYI: Here in europe (most of it) we don't use our drivers license as ID,we use an ID card and the drivers license is just another separate thing.

Well anyway i always carry my moms id card on me,i don't know it makes me feel a bit closer to her...well anyway i handed over the ID had a puzzled look on his face.
Asked why i had someones else ID on me,had to tell him to whole story,he kinda shaked his head, shook my hand and told me to have a nice day.

Hey Cloud. You're doing a great job. Hard work but something you'll always be proud of.
Your Pops is going through that loss of independence and power (and the physical indignities that go with it) that many of his age face. It's tough but at least he's got you to lean on. He's one of the lucky ones.

Remember to take a bit of personal time whenever you can. A quiet half hour. If you don't look after yourself you won't be able to help him.

Thanks for the kind words buddy.

I think my pops will be better in a couple of weeks,he only has this incontinence thing due to the catheter he wore for so long.

And yeah these days i'm trying to take some time for me,yesterday i had to go to Alicante (capital of the province) and instead of running back home i stayed a while longer and had me a nice session of tapas in a terrace.

Felt good to just sit down, relax, watch the ocean and take the stress away atleast for a while hehe

Hey Cloud....your such a kind guy and your Pop's is lucky to have you around. Poor him but I guess he's had a lot to put up with and getting old is definitely not a walk in the park. My stepfather is eighty three and he gets so cross that his memory is failing and he can't do some of the things he used to do. He's always been a physics buff and mathematical expert and he finds that difficult now....it's sad really.....he has a good life still though.

Hope your Pop's gets through all this and comes out the stronger for it.

Best wishes mate.

Thanks man.
To be honest i don't think i'm nothing special, just brought up with good values and now it's the time to use them.

About the mind, yeah that is what has been worrying me lately.
I tried to get my pops mind working (installed some games on his pc to make his brain work a bit),tried puzzles, etc, etc but he just likes to watch tv and that's it.

Kinda noticed these few past years he kinda forgets stuff, not in a Alzheimer's type of way but i do need to remind him of some stuff once in a while.
Same with the names of items,it takes him a while to come up with them, like if he wants a kiwi he kinda just says it's green on the inside and fuzzy on the outside.

He has had neurological exams and visited the specialist so we know he is ok but what the doc said is that the inactivity is just not good...really aren't working the brain much when you only watch tv.

Well anyway it is what it is,i just try to get thru each day the best way i can.

I love my Freemax Fireluke but it is not a Mesh Pro. It is the one thing I continue to buy coils for. Well not the only thing as my vapemail pic will show but the one thing I would not want to be without

Good to hear from you Cloud. The Mesh Pro was pretty much the only tank I used for about two years. I loved it. I would buy other tanks like the Falcons to test out, but always went back to the Mesh Pro. I recommend it highly.

Thanks for the advice,i will have to start shopping for one of those pretty soon.
I love my Hellvape Destiny/Brunhilde but sometimes i just don't have the time or energy to go with the maintenance.

I received my lovely little Vape Mail Haul this afternoon from Asmodus;)(it's not all my fault)
I only ordered a Minikin 3, a Tribeaut and a .Blank cos' they where so cheap at 50% off and I included my usual G'day from Dan The Aussie Asmodus Fan:thumb: when I placed the order!

On my order slip I was written a nice little personal reply!! 'Hi Dan, Thanks for your order. You will find enclosed an extra bonus from Asmodus to say thank you for all your support. Stay Safe, Best Regards, Michael':) They threw in a heap of stickers, 4 drip tips, a Barrage RDA, a Bunker RDA and another Minikin 2:w00t:

Nice haul of Dvarw's.

Did you finish wicking your 16mm Dvarw and are you vaping it?
If so, how do you like it?
I finished the coil. Wicking was a disaster, wound up with a mouth full of E-Liquid! Not sure if I aligned liitle cup holes. Had to Scrub my tongue and rinsing for a half hour. All & all it was a Disgusting Experience  Lubed all the O-Rings. Not sure how much to tighten tank components Not too tight. E-Liquid poured out of the air vent. Will try again tomorrow

So thanks to @AngeNZ 's suggestion I replaced the broken Dvarw DL FL glass with one from a Mage RTA.

Then thanks to @Letitia I added a 510 DT O ring to the chimney join to seal the deal:

Thanks Letitia.jpg

Built it

This is for you @Pigs, and anyone else that would like a smile and an awe...:) Just had to post it. I like stuff that makes you feel good, and this certainly fits the ticket to happy.

Thanks Rob.My mum had a pig named Jaika on her farm when she was a kid. Jaika thought he was a dog and used to help the kelpies and cattle dogs round up the sheep until he got too big and slow.
They were pretty tough days (and tough people) and during a drought one Christmas the family had a better than expected feast. Delicious roast pork... you guys can guess the rest. Not much room for sentiment in the outback in those days.

Where’s that? I’m used to ELR’s calculator, but I’m always open to an improvement
I tried out the VC calculator last night and I think I would really like it on a bigger screen. Since I do most everything on the phone and I'm too lazy to enter my stash I'll definitely be staying with elr. It will be handy for linking though I'm guessing. I despise typing out recipes over here.

I'm more impressed that you had 2 out of the 3 glasses to try :w00t:

If it's a no-go, then your PC/pei tube from the DL should fit the DL FL. I haven't tested that theory out either - but I did fit the Ijoy avenger rta glass (25mm*20mm) in my DL no problem. The chimney screwed in all the way, I think - it was in the early hours of the morning and I went back to the PC tank purely because it's harder for me to smash ;)
Thought I had all 3 but my Limitless rdta is the Plus version. No go. The mage glass works fine. Used to like the mage when I was into more airy vapes. Good little dual coil velocity deck rta but the top cap/drip tip combo is a bit of a pia

I have been carrying my moms drivers license ever since her purse was handed to me. I went back to California a week after leaving (by now she had passed) to begin emptying the house. This is when I decided to keep the home and move there. Being handed her purse was hard. The hardest was picking up her ashes and a box in put in front of you with her name on it.

That's 4 Minikin 2's now:w00t:
I beat you here as I have 6 Minikin 2's (but no Bruny's)
I started getting Minikins in 2016. I went to their place in Paramount and this is where i bought the Rotten Metal one before they released it

I found it. I have saved a few of the recipes and will try some if I ever decide to invest in MF. The Chocolate, Caramel and Coconut sound good.
