Well it is official. I am old and probably senile.
I sat down with four things to build. The Steam Crave light that needed the c.c coils, The Asmodus Zesthia and the Dvarw. The Profile I won in a contest.
I ordered some counter clockwise coils from somewhere, cannot remember the name of the guy. Got them weeks or months ago and put them SOMEWHERE but I do not know where. Put the Steam Crave aside.
Next the Profile. Because my left hand is still numb I have a hard time opening everything. Even the box. I do get the device open and all these rods flew out everywhere. Like WHAT?? This does not take coils it has rods. Out of my league. Put that aside
I open the Dwarv and Zesthia. Get out the other coils I could find
Nothing looks recognizable.
All the coil legs are heading in the opposite direction from what they seem like they should be headed.
How did I ever manage this and I was managing this just a couple of years ago. This would not have intimidated me then.
I put it all away.

With the Dvarw you just need to put your coils on a cooling rod and then unwrap one of the legs so that it's facing in exactly the opposite direction from the other one....or you can add a wrap.....up to you and what ohms you're looking for.Well it is official. I am old and probably senile.

Here's Todd's Dvarw DL (hope thats the version you have) build video. It's only 9 minutes or so.
I just watched that and realized Todd doesn't show a full build. This video is better. It's the DL FL but you can apply much the same build to the DL - just not large coils. And you can use coils wrapped either way on the Dvarw - both clockwise and counterclockwise work fine.

I tried to build this bugger for about an hour. I cannot get the thick legs around the tiny screws. I could probably do this if I made my own single wire coil. Is this what everyone is using? I only have fancy ready made coils.

The Profile will have to just be a whole different day. Nice win but I am totally out of my league with this rod business
don't need to get around.lay on side under screw,use light pressure if needed.can concentrate on one side at a time, if the other is close.
oh so that is how it is done. I am used to winding the thin wire around a screw as in the early Taifuns. Thanks
oops that was more gear build i was thinking.just rebuilt the dwarf DL and you do need to wrap around a little.if you need more help lots of users of that one.
