That's terrible news but I'm sure that the docs can do something to shrink it and give home some respite.

It actually may explain some of the outbursts we've had with him over the time he has been with us for which I'd forgiven him a long time ago.

@Rob B. Wishing you all the best for the future in this difficult time and sending my prayers that there is some chance of a recovery

How are you doing Charlie? How was the haircut?

It was tons of fun. I did enjoy getting lost. And you sound mighty chipper! :) Must mean you are recovering well, I hope (we All hope). And if your surgeon managed to get your pain down 50-60% or better you are likely getting near dancing up a storm. And who knows, maybe down the road you will be able to go horseback riding too. Or at least hiking out into the mountains and getting lost. Great fun! :D

I'll never be able to go horseback riding again, that was told to me by the doctors before the first surgery, and I'm on the third.. haha. Not talking any chances like that.

But dancing? Very soon I'm sure...

my recovery really is going well. I'm PT-ing my .... off, but its going really well, for real. By this time next year I'll be back in my kitchen cooking and in the great outdoors taking photographs like none of this nastiness ever happened!

From @Daniel Forsyth and myself:

We have some bad news about @Rob B. which he said was ok to share you all.

Rob knows his friends on ECF have been concerned about his recent absence. In an email exchange with Dan and I he shared the following news-

After a period of bad headaches over the last couple of months, Rob's doctors discovered an inoperable brain tumor.

In his words "the prognosis sucks".

The details of Rob's path going forward are private but I'm sure we all wish him the best. In his email he said the following:

I truly appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers, and wishes, but I don't have the energy or emotions to deal with this. I have greatly enjoyed my time at ecf, and I wish you all and your families, long, safe, and healthy lives. ❤

Oh crap... I didn't even know. ..... That sucks.

I felt this way also. Even though a good deal of the outbursts were geared towards me, the recent news makes it all a non issue. I hope and pray Rob gets the medical attention he needs and is comfy and with his family.

Doing fine and don't think I caught Covid :D feels good being neat and tidy.

It's only my bloods and immune system that has to come back to normal. It's annoying as without the immune system problem I'd be back to work but doc has put me on a total ban especially with the pandemic. As long as I don't have a relapse I'll be fine. I'm having a transfusion of Rituximab every two months to prevent that.

Hope you're doing well...how are things with you?

I bet it felt good just to do something so normal. :) Glad your doc is keeping you tucked away

Ok you Mixxers! Time for some shorty mode. Went old school with the Goblin Mini in single coil config. Forgotten how finicky little RTAs were even 4 years ago. My first wicking attempt spilt a tank's worth.

She is well, the truck that is. Havent come up with a name yet lol.
Havent done much to her or even driven her much.
Working alot and i have a work van so.....

Fam is good.

Not to bore everyone but had a rough patch. Everything went wrong at one time. Had to tear out a bathroom for a shower valve leaking we didnt know about. Had to have a semi-major repair done to our hvac syastem. All at the same time the 1st payment was due on the new truck.
Sigh
So all spare funds vanished.
Now im working extra to try to recoup savings so we can cover xmas etc....

But it is gradually getting better and returning to normal. Needless to say no shiny purchases lol.

Just tired. speaking of which, have a good night yall im done.
It’s the new vehicle curse lol. I got a new car recently. The past week, plumbing main line got clogged and backed up into the house. Freezer and fridge are trying desperately to die, himself’s been good keeping them limping along. Cable outage, their restart blew out my drop amplifier and modem. Finally got wifi and tv back up yesterday at 5:30. Put exhausted hubs in car at 6, drove 6 hours to Alabama to come take care of some stuff for my mom. Times like this, I wish very much to not be an only child lol. But, here’s my morning view... one tree changing fall colors (one more than I’ll see at home. No Fall down in the swamp).

Dang...
I've come to think of Rob as a friend.
We exchanged pm's and he was always there to send me a message of support in my times of need.
Just hope he can enjoy all the time he has left (hope it's a couple hundred years,at least) with his friends and loved ones.

If any of you maintain contact PLEASE send him my best wishes,i will be praying for him.

I used to run one of the evil little buggers on a pico too. The raised 510/heat sink thingie's in your photo is a good idea. Would stop the inevitable condensation build up from getting into the mod's 510.

And that silly little tiny screw that opens the bottom fill port...still there's something quirky and cool that I can't help loving about the V1 that the later versions never had.

Quick pop in to say hi.

Pops was feeling better the other day so i took him to the local plaza where they have a terrace and let him have some tapas that he likes so he could get some fresh air and get his head clear.

Anyway on our way back and going up the wheelchair ramp in our apartment building (he walks but the ramp is easier for him than the stairs) he slipped and was about to fall down.
I grabbed him but he is a well you know big guy like me,that and my back problems we went down...hard.
Tried to take the fall with me underneath so he wouldn't get hurt and yeah it did work but now i have a sprained shoulder, doc said it was moderate but that is atleast 4 to 6 weeks of limited mobility.

Apart from that the radio is going well, not as tired and only mild side effects for now.
Doc was a bit surprised of my blood results,he thought my numbers would be all over the place but i do take care of myself even thou i carry some extra weight.
No smoking or drinking,i use my wok a lot to cook so no fried or processed foods so my blood tests were impeccable.

Typed all this with one hand and it's taken me like 30 minutes but you guys are worth it.

Good news on the ''nurse'' front but the meds kicking in and i need to lay down a bit.

I will try to post later or tomorrow.

Hugs and best wishes to everyone :)

    Morning shinies ;)

Finally got around to making and trying tiger wire. Used 316L 0.5*0.1mm and 316L 28g - wanted a TC wire to try with the Pulse v2.

Despite Luna trying to grab the other end of the wire while the drill did its thing, it was easy to make - as it's just twisted wire. Coiling and installing it in the Axial was a bit harder as it's springy as :censored:, but it went in. It's just a bit too spaced, so I wicked it tighter than normal.
    3mm id:
    tiger7.jpg

Vape wise - not too bad at all, not spitting and its ramp is faster than a 26g round wire coil. I'm gonna give it the chainvaping test now ;)
