Summers are hot, but it genuinely is a dry heat. I was shocked when I visited the east coast one summer, and could NOT stop sweating.

I would advise against a black car with a black interior. I made that mistake... Once. It was my "in home therapy" car, and it was.... Not good, let me put it that way. I was never driving far enough to make the A/C truly kick in.

Okay, it's a bit like standing on the surface of the sun. But, it's DRY. LOL.

So yes in the coldest places in the EU it's cold. Good to know :p
If it was barely getting over 70° Frankenstein where I live (bang in the middle of western Germany) then you could bet your grandma I'd have moved south by now.
But it doesn't get that hot that one would need AC to survive here. Maybe if you go to Spain or Greece it becomes unbearable. I remember walking around with 2 bottles of water and my tongue hanging out in Athens and Malaga.

What your son is talking about are probably average temperatures that doesn't mean it doesn't get much hotter.
According to average temperatures most of the US doesn't go over 70 dungarees either

I just had to get rid of some contest crap on mine. I love the people here but am finding ECF tiresome these days.

Okay... I have nore patience now because I took some pain medicine. life in general is a little confusing, but I feel patient as all get out. Hahaha.

Now, I'm on my phone, it's easier for me to use when I'm laying down..You said you got rid of the contest crap. That's what this is... I have the blue bubble which is easier than that great big floating square, but it's still fairly large.

Is there a way to get rid of the banner, it's so difficult to use the site because the phone the screen is small enough as it is, and the banner now takes up more than a third of the screen when I'm trying to type a reply, it's smaller if I'm just reading, but it does get bigger when I'm posting .

So, a way to get rid of this banner? I now clearly know about the contest, I think we can leave it at that. ..

We get dry heat. I never understood when people said that until I was in humid high heat. That is awful! Feels like its suffocating you. We had 110+ for 10 days last Summer. I wouldn't trade you though. "Ponding" that's one way to put it, I guess... That would be like calling a flash flood creeking.
I was in Abu Dhabi a couple of years ago and it was around 110 or higher every day. Dry or not, it was HOT. Unbelievably HOT. The only upside was my kid was in a tournament there and had to shed 6 lbs to qualify. Took less than two hours of jogging in that heat to make weight.

I don't turn on the AC unless it's over 80 degrees, and summer times I can go do that "hot yoga" business on my deck, as long as it's shady. It definitely works.... What amuses me is that we have "hot yoga" places at all. K, dude, I know you won the world yoga competition 4 times by doing yoga in a sauna etc., but and so? Plenty of other people have won, without the use of a sauna.

But, I think my internal thermostat got set in Middle school when I lived in Sydney. It was super hot there too.... It's like the ONE thing about Tucson that actually doesn't bother me that much. I was musing the other day about what, if anything, I would change, besides "everything."

I decided not on the roads or infrastructure, but the driving. Yep.

I use a desktop and at the right end of the "bubble" there is an "x" to close it

Yea! I didn't have an x... but I tried to click it anyway and it took me to the site.. but then when I backed up out of the page to come back here an x showed up long enough for me to close it! Yea!

Nasty Box now gone!

My goodness I feel better now!

That's why they dress the way they do in the middle east.. it may not look cool but it's unimaginably cooler to dress like they do..

Future reference only. . Lol
