@Redbird11 These are anti-clockwise coils (I think) - so when you install them instead of taking the slack out of your coil legs when you tighten the screw, they stay the same.

Someone else should have a better method (I hope). My way is to wrap the leg around the screw completely and hold it against the coil rod while tightening down the screw. That way it can't move and loosen. It was easier on the FL deck, but doable on the older Dvarw deck too.

You can always flip them upside down so they are coil down/legs up, and install them that way too
I guess I don't quite understand what anti-clockwise coils mean. Don't believe I have ever heard of that before.

It's just the way they are wrapped. Most of us wrap clockwise coils. But some decks - usually RDAs need an anti-clockwise coil as that is where the cutouts for leads go. Like in the KRMA RDA:

I guess what I am confused about is how that effects the slack of the legs or how you install them. I'll probably just need to have them in hand to understand.

Yeah you'll see it much easier then - and if you find it a PITA, you know where to holler

The top coil is wound counter clockwise or anti clockwise. The bottom coil is wound clockwise like you're doing with your Dvarw's. See how the leads come off the coils in opposite directions?

I have a couple RBA's that I roll-up counter clockwise coils for. Or anti clockwise. Same/same.

Now you know . :D

Well from the looks of your picture, it seems the coils I have been using have been counter clockwise. I've just mostly been using these recently: $4.24 A1 Wire (200-Pack) - 28 AWG / 0.32mm dia. / 1.3ohm at FastTech - Free Shipping

Those are counter clockwise, yes sir. Sorry, I thought you were winding coils from a spool of wire.
I do sometimes. But when I am in a rush, I just grab one of those and adjust the leads and plug them into my Dvarw.

Can't you just turn them upside down? :)

    Good morning shinies

Have a great weekend everyone

Here's a pic of our daily Burmese cat visitor. He goes by the name of Boofulls in our house....he belongs to a neighbour but we think they both work and he gets booted out in the morning (no cat flap) and he's nearly always really thirsty so we think he's on dry food and sometimes doesn't have a chance to drink before he's put out....I want one :)

Good morning, everyone. Hope I'm not intruding here too much.
I'm on a bit of a spending spree (smallish) and bought a couple Grus mods, and I'm trying to decide what I need to go with it.
Like an RTA or maybe an RDA. Colors are Black/Marine and Black/Walnut.
Is 30mms an appropriate size for that mod? What would look good on it? I already have an Aromamizer Plus 30mm rta, but I'm a little concerned that might need higher wattage than I want to maintain. I'd like to keep it under 75 watts so I don't blow through the battery as quickly. My current most used setup is a Zeus X RTA on a Yihi SXmini SL Class, dual coils at .21, 65.8 watts.
I probably want to get a few new batteries for it also. I have a few Samsung 40ts for my SL Class, but only chose those over Sony VTC6A 21700s because I read a review that the Sonys would not actually fit in the SL class.
Any Grus owners using Sony VTC6a 21700 cells?
Well sorry about the super long post, and thanks:)

Welcome to the thread. There are quite a few members here that have Grus....good mod by all accounts....it's on my wish list.
As far as RDA's go you can't go wrong with a Dvarw

Dvarw DL RTA 24mm – KHW mods

They're quite expensive but the build quality, flavour and draw on the DL are f phenomenal. If you can't stretch to that SXK do a very good clone which you can get on fasttech. If you prefer an MTL vape then you can get one for MTL too....here's one of mine on my SX mini....
    20201022_105005.jpg

I hope that helps...the Dvarw DL collection is pretty much all I vape these days.... they're that good. Best of luck.
