Beautiful photo's Mel. You are a Looker and have an awesome Smile!!! Luv 'em. :) You make two sets of rollers and white rain sound quick. Not here it wasn't. IIRC "all" that was a project. Rollers and hair spray, yep my wife was all that plus the curling iron thingamabob. She even had what I called her "woman's workbench" with mirrors and lights for putting on all that other stuff. It's funny, I would be ready to go out in minutes BUT had to wait for her to do her "stuff" before we could go. Sometimes I felt like I was waiting for a house to be built. I need to go find some photo's.

Sammy is getting to be a Big boy. Can't wait to see him once he looses the pancake bod and fills out. Same as GSD's with the 2-3 year fill out. I love Captain Cooper and am happy Sam helped him and they are Bud's now.

ETA: I didn't miss them! :D Was going to post earlier but I had errands to run.
He’s still at that gawky bobble head head too long legs stage right now lol. And, no... that Farrah do took a good hour to get done. Much happier with my silver wash and go bob these days!!

Good morning shiny ones

Depends on where you get them. Just wind one leg to suit your deck. Some sites will offer different leg direction and both counter and clockwise winds. Anne has some good links for all. Pick her brain on the common vocabulary used when looking for something specific.

Thank you Letitia. Anne will be? o_O. The guy at the vape shop didn't know what I was talking about and I will think he wouldn't have know about the legs tbh  but if I know I can ask as you said. I didn't wind the leg, I was a bit afraid to do that, didn't know how it will change the resistance. I'm a chicken ***t I know

Morning shinies ;)

You are a champion, and I felt the exact same way after my first build

And if your legs are in the same direction or opposite and you want to change them for your deck - with it on a coil rod, I usually pull one leg until it takes off half a wrap.

Play around with some rda decks, a coiling rod and some 26g wire and you'll soon figure it all out. But be very careful, rebuildables are addictive

Indeed now I feel like I wanna play with some . For the wire what will be recommende to start with?, I know your number 1 used to be kanthal. For this one I bough premade fused clapton but one leg up and one under the coil. I thought both were usually up or down :w00t:

Pictures below just for illustrative purposes :w00t:

The one I used the legs were like this one

And I thought they normally were like this one below

I don't know if it makes any difference. Now I know I can unwrap if needed.

Aliraonz Your top picture is the natural way the wire will coil. Many build decks have one opening higher than the other.
Your bottom picture, you'd continue the wrap of the upper leg, then bend it with your fingers or pliers so it lays flat with the other leg. An extra 5 seconds or so. ;)

That explains a lot. Thank you @Wayneo now I feel better about it for the next time I do it :)either be unwrap or warp the leg ;)

That lower photo must be a photo-shopped image.
It's impossible for both legs to come off the bottom like shown.

edit: unless you bend one leg like Wayneo described

@Aliraonz the bottom photo is like my coil on the right, the top my coil on the left. As @Wayneo said its just a matter of putting a kink in one leg with pliers. Both the coils in my shot are from the same batch and started off looking like the coil on the left.

    Good morning shinies

Hopefully you're all having a good day.

@Pigs Confession....I totally made a mistake saying my SQuape Arise had shipped and the manufacturer. I got totally mixed up with 2fdeal and 3Fvape who have shipped my Lost Vape Grus but am still waiting for the Arise which is made by Ulton.....sorry :)
I keep not seeing the i in Arise.

Thank you, he’s clearly a byb/not breed standard dog, but I think he’s most handsome. I can’t lift over 70 pounds with my back, so I know he’s well over that. September he was 72 at the vet’s. He’d been gaining about 5-7 a month up till then, so at about a year he’s at 80/85% of his adult weight. Males tend to fill out years 2 & 3. The handsome ginger boy is my grandpup Captain Cooper. He was Monk’s bff, and Sam helped heal his broken heart too. They are tied at the hip when he’s here.
We all forgot the fab Farah do of the late 70’s. Two sets of rollers and a can of white rain and you were good to go :lol:. Catch them while I leave em up.... second one is from my time at Oxford Univ, and I had it long again, but there’s the beautiful perm

I prefer ni80, but my fave wire only comes in ka1, so I put up with it :D

    In the box that Luna ate ;) there's 26g ss316L, 28g ss316L, kanthal twisted wire 28gx2, my fave flat wire ka1 0.5mm x 0.2mm and some ss316L 28/40 MTL clapton wire.

When you're learning, it's easier to use cheap wire so coil your head off with especially the 26g and twisted ka1.

The main thing I'd spend money on now is a decent tool kit. A coil master style rod and winder just makes it so much easier to coil wire - especially fused clapton wire.
From the pickings over here, this one is the best value:
GeekVape DIY Mini Tool Kit V2

if you want to get more cotton:
Cotton Bacon Prime by Wick N Vape

and if like me, you want to vape in the 20-30w range then this is perfect for that. Even at 15-20w it vapes fantastic
