Sammy is getting to be a Big boy. Can't wait to see him once he looses the pancake bod and fills out. Same as GSD's with the 2-3 year fill out. I love Captain Cooper and am happy Sam helped him and they are Bud's now.

You are a champion, and I felt the exact same way after my first build
And if your legs are in the same direction or opposite and you want to change them for your deck - with it on a coil rod, I usually pull one leg until it takes off half a wrap.
Play around with some rda decks, a coiling rod and some 26g wire and you'll soon figure it all out. But be very careful, rebuildables are addictive

Aliraonz Your top picture is the natural way the wire will coil. Many build decks have one opening higher than the other.
Your bottom picture, you'd continue the wrap of the upper leg, then bend it with your fingers or pliers so it lays flat with the other leg. An extra 5 seconds or so.

It's impossible for both legs to come off the bottom like shown.
edit: unless you bend one leg like Wayneo described
Maybe as I got them from google but I did see the one with the bend leg.

@Aliraonz the bottom photo is like my coil on the right, the top my coil on the left. As @Wayneo said its just a matter of putting a kink in one leg with pliers. Both the coils in my shot are from the same batch and started off looking like the coil on the left.Good morning shiny ones

Dang, I was too late.Thank you, he’s clearly a byb/not breed standard dog, but I think he’s most handsome. I can’t lift over 70 pounds with my back, so I know he’s well over that. September he was 72 at the vet’s. He’d been gaining about 5-7 a month up till then, so at about a year he’s at 80/85% of his adult weight. Males tend to fill out years 2 & 3. The handsome ginger boy is my grandpup Captain Cooper. He was Monk’s bff, and Sam helped heal his broken heart too. They are tied at the hip when he’s here.
We all forgot the fab Farah do of the late 70’s. Two sets of rollers and a can of white rain and you were good to go

I prefer ni80, but my fave wire only comes in ka1, so I put up with it
In the box that Luna ate
there's 26g ss316L, 28g ss316L, kanthal twisted wire 28gx2, my fave flat wire ka1 0.5mm x 0.2mm and some ss316L 28/40 MTL clapton wire.When you're learning, it's easier to use cheap wire so coil your head off with especially the 26g and twisted ka1.
The main thing I'd spend money on now is a decent tool kit. A coil master style rod and winder just makes it so much easier to coil wire - especially fused clapton wire.
