Not out of hand but single digit cases daily in Northern Beaches area. Balgowlah one of the suburbs in partial lockdown. Compared to other parts of the world it's nothing but we've seen how quickly that can change if it's not contained.

Yes it does spread really quickly.
Currently around 25 000 new cases per day in France but our area is still not the worst although bad enough since the summer holidays....I think we're heading for another big lockdown!

Hope your heat dries up soon. You need that interior airflow and then at least it's dry heat. Humidity is horrible especially at night.

Yes it does spread really quickly.
Currently around 25 000 new cases per day in France but our area is still not the worst although bad enough since the summer holidays....I think we're heading for another big lockdown!

The USA needs a major lockdown of epic proportions. We have way too many anti-maskers. Also no one at the top here had, or followed, any kind of a plan (even though there is a very in-depth pandemic plan on the CDC website).

We've seen as high as 240,000 cases per day in the last week. And roughly 1 person dying per minute. That number will grow over the next weeks because of the 8+ million dumber than dumb folks who decided to travel over Xmas.

Our expert doctors and science people say we will see an explosion in the coming weeks as a result. Many hospital ICU's are at zero capacity. They will be enacting plans for who gets care based on who is likely to survive.

Let's hope this vaccine sorts everything out so that we can have a better 2021.

There are several different vaccines worldwide. It's going to be at least a year, likely more, before those reach the poorer countries of Our world.

We're seeing the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna mRNA vaccines here. It will be some time before we all see one in our arms.

Have you looked at the Dvarw MTL FL?

I have an authentic and it's an excellent MTL RTA. Fantastic flavor. It's easy to build on and wick. It comes with a 1.2mm airflow insert but they do have other AF inserts for a tighter or more open draw.

Fasttech has the clones if you're ok with those. Several folks in the Shiny thread have them and really like them.

Yep totally agree that it's really out of hand in the United States even taking the population in to account. Largely due to appalling leadership issues. It's terrible that the president's can't override the separate states on issues like this....a very serious lock down is needed countrywide.

I agree that the vaccine is no magic bullet but my point was to spread a bit of hope in these troubling times. I'm third on the list as I'm someone with comorbidities but even an insufficient vaccine program should start to have an effect on the spread rate. Here we are heading for a third lockdown....which does work. So for us there is hope.

To be fair many who do wear masks and follow precautions to a T are also getting the virus.

that's the problem, masks and precautions aren't 100%, just like condoms....
but it's still best to wear them to lower the risk.....
the problem is that most aren't....
I myself am stuck in isolation since march because of other idiots....I have little to no immunity (so even wearing a mask and protective gear, ect isn't really going to help me) and the numbers of covid in my area just keeps rising

When i go out and i have to go into a supermarket (small town i know everyone),if it's my turn to order from the butcher and if old ladies or young kids are close to me without wearing the mask properly or maintaining the proper distance the following conversation occurs:

me:hey Paco (butcher's name) haven't asked me how my father is.
Paco: hey Javier,how is he?
me:Bad man,really bad...Doc said that with the severe renal failure and the CORONA (tone of voice goes up when i say corona) he only has 3 or 4 days to live...

Then like Moises i witness how the crowd parts and i am left with a 3 meter perimeter where no one dares to come close to me.

Is it morbid?
Yep,but more morbid is me getting corona and then passing it to my dad,so i do what i have to do to keep him and me safe.

Recomend this trick for whenever you get people around who don't maintain their distance.

The #'s are rising everywhere. Until the virus runs its course this is the world we live in. Idiots or no idiots this was the always going to be the end result. Truthfully there are currently more deaths due to plain old age or poor lifestyle choices. Those deaths don't make the news though. Here in the US baby boomers are starting to die of mostly natural causes & that is the largest segment of our population. Death rates here are going to soar for the next decade covid or no covid.
