My second build, I forgot the cap for the chamber and lost a whole tank of juice. At first I thought I broke something but later found I left the cap in another room. So that was my bad.
Congrats. You aren't a real Dvarw owner until you forget to put the cap on. I still do it every now and then.

I got the new Drag X Plus today, won't use that tank though.

The Legacy Collection : Kizoku by Techmod
    with a Dvarw clone

Placating my SBS intrigue (and feeling like a house burglar rolling underneath closing garage doors). The Kizoku is a great little device. If you thought the Mixx feels compact and solid, the Kizoku is even slightly smaller in profile and weight. But yet it still feels like a nugget of metal. Which is good. Aesthetics are the opposite ends of a time spectrum - the Mixx being German steampunk and the Kizoku a walkie-talkie from blade runner. The Kizoku has a different hand feel. The slope in the body and beveled edges give it a very pleasant hand feel. Checking off boxes for each, I can say they're both excellent devices.

As far as the Dvarw clone, it's unsettling how good it is. That is, if you get the build right. It has a lot of extra steps and you have to be mindful during the entire process. My first build was correct and I was shocked how dense and flavorful the vape was. My second build, I forgot the cap for the chamber and lost a whole tank of juice. At first I thought I broke something but later found I left the cap in another room. So that was my bad. And I put too much cotton the second time around. Yucky dry hits. But I'm a fast learner so I'm assuming much charm for the third go-around. :thumb: :headbang:

The Techmod has been on radar for ages, I especially love the button placement.

As for the Dvarw - forgetting the chamber cap is something I've done twice already and a rite of passage

The only way I haven't left it off for a 3rd time (yet) is after rinsing it, I put it straight into the Dvarw tank on an angle. That way, I can't stick the tank back on, without seeing the chamber cap  It's not a foolproof method, as I'm positive I'll forget it again one day soon.

Regarding the wicking, have a read through my blog entry on the different ways to wick a Dvarw:

I find the Exocet wick or the Bludger works the best for me.

I was thinking of this or the LV Ursa. When you’ve used it some, I’d like to get your first impressions.

Sure will, I hope it's good, as 2 days after I ordered this one, I also won too, so got a 2nd one coming :)

Question for you on your wicking notes. Are your notes mostly from experience with the DL version? Because with my MTL, I have attempted the Exocet method a couple of times with not great results.

Daaaang. In high school I won a pizza and several decades later I still remember it. If I won a Drag X I probably would’ve fainted. :thumb: :headbang:

I don't enter many of the competitions, but do enough and will win something in the end, I've probably won between 15-20 prizes over the last 8 years, some won a lot more than that, but I only enter ones when they are something I really want.

Nope, they are all from other members who have a lot more experience with Dvarw wicking than I do.

When I've finished the Exocet wick, before juicing it, I loosen up the tails by poking them with tweezers. And when it's wet, I also make sure there's no gap in the wicking ports.

If it's slightly leaking, then I take off the tank, check for gaps, and fix any with either tweezers or spreading out the tails with a fingernail.

Thanks. I will try the Exocet again on my next rewicking.

Get it! You'll love it! But your police lineup of SBSs is guaranteed to grow and grow.

I'll consider them essential devices for the Vapeocalypse. They're very easy to carry around and when the situation requires, the heft will be good for beaning a zombie.

I think I’m going to have to face the reality that I’m not going to get a Dicodes sbs before the mail ban hits. That looks intriguing. That’s a 24mm tank on it?

If I would've won I would've fainted. And then I would've needed an ambulance. Hospital bills > retail price of Drag X. So it's good I didn't win it and you did. :thumb:

Yes it is 24mm. And the Kizoku is limited to a 24mm tank. That's something to be aware of. There's no workaround like with the Mixx.

Do I have a wind method?
I wet the wick ends first and push them straight up,then put the cap on and push the wick down.

How many tanks do you get before re-wicking?

Cut them a bit longer after you've pulled them through then juice up your wick and coil then flatten the outside wicks back against the slots....make sure you cover the slots completely.

As always not too much wick....not too little. I sometimes use my thumbs to flatten the wicks either side of the slots too.

    Hope that helps :)
