Thanks, dear. I do like it a lot, and ordering from FT (and anybody else, for that matter) is becoming increasingly difficult with that shipping ban fast approaching...

I always thought that both Krazy Glue and Gorilla gel become inert once fully cured, but who knows?

Does anybody think that FT will quit shipping to the US after the mail ban hits? I could be wrong, but it's my opinion that they will continue to ship "filters". They haven't let anything else stop them so far. What do y'all think?

No clue. They stopped using PayPal already. And their prices are going up.

They may not care about the USPS ban, but when the FDA starts banning (rejecting PMTAs) in September, all bets are off, IMHO.

Actually, I believe they are back to using PayPal. Several people have been able to place orders using it. I'll be able to find out for myself in a few days, when I get paid.

I used PP for the vape snail a few days ago, but with a name like vape snail maybe it flew under the radar?
I see it as being an at-our-own-risk scenario. If we give them money, they’ll send our filters. If the filters get snagged at customs, no sweat to them. I don’t know if there’s any way our government can punish their shippers.

Lilia from sourcemore liked my review and asked me for a wish list - she gave me some ideas for that. So I’ll be getting a Wotofo profile, and a Rincoe Jellybox mini to review next. I have a couple of Wotofo items that I’ve liked a lot, never used any from Rincoe.

Good afternoon, Shinies! Vaping emergency! My chocolate LG got stuck in my brand new Aegis Solo. And I mean stuck. Something went horribly wrong (I had to shove it in in the first place, which was obviously a mistake (note to self--don't force your batteries into your mods). So now it's stuck. I googled, some other unfortunate soul had a similar misfortune--used super glue and a pencil. Apparently there is a silicone ring somewhere there that probably got shoved in and holds the battery trapped. I shook and banged, no go.

So I glued the battery bottom to a random plastic cap about the same diameter as the battery and I'm waiting for it to cure, but it may not work. Do you think that a trip to a vape shop is in order? Can they help? I don't care about the battery, but I would hate to have to throw away a new mod...

Took a look at one. I don't see any way you could get a grip on the battery and pull it out, if the superglue trick doesn't work. The 510 is held in with 3 screws, they look like allen key heads but they might be star drive, my eyes aren't that good. I guess if you took that off you could push the battery down from the top, you could get a lot more force on the battery that way. If you don't have the small drivers maybe a vape shop would have them. Or someone who works on computers. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll dig out my drivers and see if I can figure out exactly what you would need. They aren't that expensive. I never worked on a Solo but I've dismantled quite a few mods and it was never very hard to do.

You're so sweet, but no need! The story had a happy ending! With a lot of help from my Shiny Friends!

    Winner!!!!

In total desperation I grabbed the mod and shook some more--nada. Shook a bit more--nothing. Shook again and tapped on the table--and Hallelujah!!! It moved. Tapped again and got just enough to grab the battery with my bare fingers and it's OUT!!!!!!

Now I have to go look for that gasket.

Thank you all again for helping me. I would have given up on my own.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! I love ECF. And I really love all y'all guys and gals!:wub::wub::wub::wub:

Thanks. It's the Aspire Mixx and it is built like a WWII battleship. Very nice high quality. The body is a single piece CNC'ed from a block of aluminum. I snagged a couple of them a while back and haven't had any issues with mine. I'm pretty sure @AngeNZ has like 5-6 of them.

Element Vape has them marked down to $59.99.
    Aspire MIXX 60W Box Mod

They have all the colors too.

I may still grab a purple one... just cus I'm a lover of all things purple. :)

IIRC @NolaMel was looking to sell hers a while back, I think.
I occasionally threaten to sell things that I’m miffed at... well, except himself. I’d never get my “investment” back on resale.
The Mixx is definitely not one of my favorites. But, I think it’s a combo of left hand vaping and tank choice. And yes, I tried washers, spacers, no heat thingys. I like the Paramour much better than the Mixx, and definitely prefer my dani sbs. I only wish there was enough time left before the mail ban to save up enough for a second one. The Dicodes is just perfect (for me)

Haha! I feel that way about pink! I love pink and definitely bright pink!
It looks like an amazing mod!

It'll be interesting to see what happens. But I honestly think that the USA is too big of a market for FT and others to give up on. My guess is they will still ship "filters" and the risk will totally be on us.

A few of the places I order from out of Europe have been shipping gear as "flashlight parts" and other creative labeling for the last year plus. Also each of them has on their shipping labels as coming from an actual person and not a vape place.

I will still order stuff from Europe and China.

Also from my research last year Customs is way undermanned at the ports of entry so there is no way they will be able to check every single package coming through from China as there are millions of packages coming in daily. I do think Customs will carry on with business as usual and check large shipments as they've been for years. Plus there is no way they would be able to train Customs agents on all the different gear.

You have to vape lefty to use the MIXX?
I'm a lefty and vape lefty. Trying to vape right handed feels awfully weird to me. Although I can throw a football or baseball lefty or righty and bat from the right or left sides. Also can write with either hand. Using a scissors with either hand works fine for me too. Guess you could say I am partially ambidextrous. Or just a weirdo! :D

Hmm. @CaveFurby says 30*2/38 AWG wire is "two strands of 30 gauge wrapped with a strand of 38 gauge," but @charlie1465 hit "agree" in response to my question "Am I right in thinking 30*2/38 AWG means two strands of 38 gauge wire wrapped around a single 30 gauge wire?" Both of them can't be right. Can anyone break the tie?
    I think I was wrong...sorry

I also purchased some different prebuilts to go with the DL. I normally get the .99ohm ones, but these might be better for the bigger Dvarw.
    $3.38 Authentic Ni80 Superfine Heating Wire - 10pcs/pack / 30*2/38 AWG / 0.25mm*2/0.1mm dia. / 0.7ohm at FastTech - Free Shipping
I always use Ni 80 at 0.5/6 ohm at 16-18 watts usually depending on the mod :)
Works for me and the lower wattage keeps them going for longer until they gunk up.... especially if you like your creams as I do :)

    Good afternoon Dear Shiny's !!! :D

Carli (dog), Angel (cat) and I got back into town early this morning. We were up north Wisconsin visiting a friend and her 2 daughters for nearly 2 weeks. No riding horses this time as it was way too cold with the Arctic blast. A couple days it was near -40F with the wind chills. We had the fireplaces burning brightly!!!

My cell phone service (Verizon) has really crappy reception up there. I tried posting a couple times but gave up out of frustration. Was way too slow for me. I would call up a page on ECF and wait, wait, wait. I no longer have the patience for old dial-up modem speeds. I threw my cell phone in my backpack and said screw it!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. I missed y'all!!!
What a relief... thought something dire had happened. Good to hear from you.
    Hope all ok?
