Post script to my Abyss situation:

I sent an email to the local retailer I bought it from about 2 hours ago explaining the situation and showing photos.

I just got an email back saying they are sending a replacement via express post (interstate) to me tomorrow. Apologies and understanding etc. They are also sending a prepaid satchel for me to return the defective unit so they can onsend to Dovpo.

I knew they were out of stock but somehow the manager has been able to source another Abyss. Amazing.

    Really excellent CS!

The saga continues and hopefully the next chapter will be a happy one

Yip, they sold out worldwide. The next batch later this month! I was lucky enough to get two because our local vape shop got a batch! I must say I have tested a lot of bridges and the Abyss really is great value for money and the juice capacity is awesome!

Yes all good here thanks @charlie1465! Just staying safe... fishing and vaping! It's a tough life! :)
Managed to order one yesterday..... yippee...stay safe Rob.

    Vape mail today,yeah baby!! :rickroll::rickroll:

Spanish vaping website (similar to ECF but less cool) read some of my reviews here in ECF (feel like i was being stalked he he) contacted me to ask me if i wanted to write a review for them in Spanish/English for the SWAG PX80 so they could post it in their website.
Odd that they contacted me thou, only vaping website i use is this one, same for all my internet content i only use websites in English.
Never speak to anyone in English like way back when i was a Solicitor but i read and write in English every day and i watch all my movies and tv series in English as well,i need to practice...plus movies and tv series in their original language are much better,Spanish dub are really awful.

So anyway, free vaping device for writing a review? heck yeah,so i got the package delivered this morning :)

SWAG PX80,the 4ml Pod (one that comes with the box i think is 2ml) and 3 extra coils.
My first vaping device when i ventured into RTA's was the original SWAG 80 so i think i will enjoy this one :)

My second attempt at building the Dvarw was an unmitigated disaster. I tried the 24g as at 3mm taking off a loop so as not to raise the resistance, but the resistance still went from 0.6 to nearly 0.8 ohms. The chimney kept getting stuck in the top section every time I tried to put the tank on the deck and they wouldn't screw together. I finally got them together and most of the juice leaked. Idk why. The higher resistance tasted terrible, even at a much lower wattage. It tasted hot and burnt. Then, I tore a battery wrapper changing the battery on the Colossal. I was so frustrated with the setup that I just put it to the side for now. Maybe tomorrow. I ordered some battery wraps and a hairdryer. Yes, I don't own a hairdryer...my hair is so thin and fine, I dont need one.
Are you using the Exocet wicking method? My top cap on some of my Dwarves get stuck in the chimney....it's easy to get out....make sure the top oring is well lubed. Another thing if you leave it in there it must be straight when you screw it back together :)

    It really is .
It's a Melbourne company called Wick and Wire Co (wickandwireco.com.au).Your neck of the woods.
I've bought some bits and pieces from them in the past but nothing substantial.

There's no blame attached to them here of course. They couldn't know what's in a sealed box. This is a QC issue that sits squarely at Dovpo's door. There were other niggles about the fit and finish that I didn't mention in my posts that would annoy anyone paying this type of money. Rough and rushed was my impression.

Wick and Wire didn't make me jump through hoops and answer a hundred questions. One explanatory email with a few photos was enough for them to act.. They even have a landline number that they answer.

Thanks Charlie but I'll hopefully get a replacement here in a few days.
The prices are bang on the same though which is interesting
    I hope that doesn't bode badly for mine....hmm. I'll report back :)

Hang on a minute. Why are we all trying to swap mum's. Mine would definitely resist..... probably violently. Just realised I couldn't stand the wooden spoon again

My mom was a wooden spoon tyrant too! Might explain why I’m worthless in the kitchen, still traumatized by the spoon whackings.

That is a consideration. The thing is, I really like them quite a bit. Except for the battery issue. The first one I bought had no problems. It was kind of a tight fit, but no wraps were ripped or damaged.

I have about a dozen of them. They do loosen up over time, but I still have the be careful, keep the battery straight until the negative is compressed enough. I think it’s easier for me to get the batteries out because I have really small fingers, others may struggle to get a good grip.

Great news. My dad gets his first shot today, which is quite a relief to me.
That's good to hear....hope it goes well :)

By the way I tried my damaged Mixx.... screen is fried and I think the board. I tried not to look when I consigned it to the trash :(

    Still another 5 on the way...2 Mixxes, 2 Paramour's and 1 Abyss :)
